First United Bank - Moore Interstate 35 Frontage Rd, Moore

I will preface this by saying the teller staff is great. Quick and helpful, for your normal transactions they are fine. Beyond that, this place was a real trip to try and do business with. I have a mortgage through First United at a different location, and they were awesome. I would rather drive out of my way double the distance to that location than bank here. I tried to get an auto loan, called, emailed and walked in for 3 weeks straight with no replies from anyone via email or after leaving voicemails. The loan officer was never in the office, not one time. When I finally did get a reply it was through the mail telling me my loan application was denied. I finally got through to someone to ask why, and they attempted to correct by giving me a high interest rate. Another bank gave me a loan at lower than half of what First United offered. I like being able to keep all my finances under one roof, but this was just a dumpster fire of an experience. Having a mortgage, an above average credit score, and a great repayment history, apparently doesn't amount to anything. Do business somewhere else, you could throw a dart at a map and find a better place to bank.

I would certainly recommend Ty Wenthold and First United Bank for both construction and fixed mortgages. Strong consistent communication, extremely knowledgable, provides professional relevent guidance, and step by step updates through completion of our home.

Throughout the process, Ryan was very attentive, knowledgeable, and personable. He kept me informed throughout and took time to explain things to my understanding (someone who’s not in the mortgage/real estate industry). Ryan has a very calming demeanor and it gave me confidence throughout the process. I would recommend Ryan to anyone needing to mortgage a home purchase

Ryan Dorman is an excellent financial adviser. He helped us get where we needed to be in order to buy our first home. He is a wonderful person to work with. I would definitely recommend him.

Mortgage department at this branch employs bait and switch con artistry tactics. I was recommended to this branch by my realtor after my lender informed me they have a higher minimum purchase price in Oklahoma (my loan was 10k under). I asked in my initial conversation with them what the top tier customers are seeing interest rate wise and Kera Ruth didn't provide any told me to not worry about it. She assured me saying that they are likely able to beat the rate I had by a competitor but if not they have an emergency procedure they can enact to match it. I had them all documentation needed with 24 hours, it took them a week to process it. They then inform me they won't honor the rate we had discussed, that they need a letter from the other lender saying what rate they would offer me and needs to be within the last 24 hours. I go through the trouble to get this for them. Kera and Chaley inform me the next day that they can't do that either. You would think there must be a good reason why.... nope and they offered to explanation either simply an email saying "We will not be able to match that rate as there such the gap in pricing between the two." There were no surprises, the only debt I have is my current residence 83k left to payoff. Loan is less than 1.5 years my current wages and a mid-credit score of 779. In case you're curious how much they were off by,. They weren't even in the same ballpark - they offered me a rate a WHOLE percentage point higher than the other lender. The national average was on par with the other lenders rate too. First United is one of the best bank chains out there so this is posted just as a warning limited to this branch - stay far away from the dishonesty you will find with "The Haffner Team".
