I have banked here since I was a little kid with my very first savings account. It is a beautiful hometown bank filled with employees that were born and raised in the area so they understand me and what I need in a bank. It's not uncommon to find out that an employee graduated high school with my father and that they were in the marching band together! I wouldn't bank anywhere else.

I don’t personally bank with First State, but I’m in the process of refinancing my mortgage with them. Not only are they offering the best rates and perks, but the entire team has been beyond amazing. I’ve been working with Emilee and Lance and they are both so knowledgeable, personable, and professional. They’ve made this whole process so easy and stress free. HORRIBLE BANK!!! Worst customer service ever. We have had accounts here for over 3 years have 3 direct deposits EVERY WEEK. And today they refused to cash a certified bank check because our account didn’t have the same amount in it. Hometown banking yeah right. A lady right next to me in line was cashing a check for TWICE the amount as mine and JUST opened a new account. To me this is FLAT OUT discrimination.
