First Southern National Bank Harrodsburg Rd, Lexington

I love this bank and this branch. Always so friendly if I stop by or if I call. I've had nothing but pleasant experiences, quick service, and always ready to help me over the phone or in person. I've also worked with the bank in the western part of KY and their offices in Stanford. All helpful employees. You can tell the bank as a whole is managed well.

Their hours are horrible, they are only open when I am at work (and I don't think it's because of covid). I've have to change my address multiple times and each time it has been an absolute headache because they don't actually update it in their system until I find out much later and have to call them during my lunch.

ALL of my experiences with this lexington branch location have not been good. Everytime I have had a dealing with teller Holly Brewer she has always had an attitude and it has been like pulling teeth trying to get our own money from our business account. I opened my account in nicholasville where they have a great atmosphere and run their location professionally and with total respect for their customers. Holly has refused my withdrawal multiple times. Even today my home branch does not understand why this Holly Brewer will not release any monies to me. I do not recommend this branch to no one. I will make it a point to make the drive to nicholasville from now on. It takes more time here in Lexington and still get nothing accomplished. Totally disappointed with they was Holly Brewer represents First Southern National Bank.

The hours are terrible they aren't convenient to my work schedule so I can't ever get my checks cashed and its really irritating I'm thinking about switching banks

Horrible hours, hard to use card out of state, hard for banks to transfer money in and out. Banked here for over 25 years and get the cold shoulder any time I have questions. I have been loyal for so many years but it has become an inconvenience to bank with this institution.

My name is actually Mario, this place started off friendly and seemed like a nice bank. But there overdrafting rules are ridiculous. Even if you deposit money that night to cover your overdrawn charge they will still charge you 32 dollars. They will only cover one overdraft fee as well, eventhough this one was pretty much there fault for not having a way to tell me it got overdrafted. They probably were mailing me a letter, but the app should pop a notification. I checked my bank the night before and it was good. And then I check my bank again and the bank took there 5 dollar monthly fee out and didn’t tell me they overdrafted it. Then another charge they let come through when I had no money in my bank caused I knew they would of charged a fee Monday but I was assuming if I got the money in ASAP it would be fine like every other bank you have 24 hours here you have til the end of that business day so it comes out at 350 you’re screwed or you better get to the bank in ten minutes. It’s just crazy how they couldn’t cover 32 dollars. Last money they will ever get from me.

i have had nothing but great experiences at this bank and I am very grateful for the kindness of the employees and they banks support of the community. I always recommend this bank to folks!
