Raoul Cortes was my agent and working with him has made my first time with them a great experience. The experience at first was very good, of course it was a sales transaction, nothing could go wrong. I was helped by Raoul, who was the Branch Manager, very nice person, and everything was smooth. He told me everything would be done electronically even signing up the paperwork. I financed 2 vehicles with them on the same day. After that I was sent a couple of letters on the mail which I didn't pay attention to because I was told I would received electronic communication and I was making my payments in timely manner. After 3 months my spouse opened one of the envelopes from them were it said I would be charged 6K because I didn't provide them with proof of insurance. I made multiples attempts to reach out to the manager who took care of me at first but I had no success at all. I tried making several phone call appointments and that never worked out well, he never called back and I wasted hours waiting on at at least a brief call, I guess he is a pretty busy man. Then I finally decided to make an in Branch appointment with him but when I got there he was busy with clients financing their vehicles or selling something I guess. Since I was on my 1 hour lunch break I had to leave after waiting for almost an hour and not even getting acknowledged by him or at least getting an apology. At that point I just gave up trying to get some help. Of course he never called me back to apologize for not respecting our appointment after so many emails and failed attempts to get him on the phone. When you see a place that loves taking your money but hates servicing you, run away. I DO NOT RECOMEND THIS BRANCH AT ALL, all they care about is to take your money and good luck! Just be careful with whom you deal with.

I have been banking at this FSCU (Sam Houston) location for nearly 4 years now. I have had a great experience with the staff. Raoul Cortes has been my financial representative and has helped me with 2 truck loans. His fast and speedy communication is what makes me stay at FSCU. I had refinance my wife’s Mercedes last summer with Raoul Cortez. He made the experience so easy and was so helpful. I reached back out to Mr. Cortez about another loan and once again he was able to help me with the process and was in and out in no time. Raoul (branch manager) is that DUDE!!! I applied for an auto loan and was a bit nervous about it. Not because of approval, but because of the dealer visit with funding in hand! He was so patient, and very detailed in explaining the entire process. He basically coached me for the visit and also got me a GREAT interest rate! He is a God send. When I first opened a savings account, Caprice helped me open one and she was awesome too! So friendly and outgoing. When I went in today for my loan, I saw Caprice and she was just as bubbly. :) I had such a pleasant experience today and the only other time I visited to open an account. They're awesome! Hell, EVEN TANYA (the on-site security guard) is so friendly and funny. I'm so glad I do business here.
