First Republic Bank Washington St, Wellesley

I had a great experience at this bank’s location! I went in and was greeted by a kind security officer who guided me to the appropriate representative. All my questions were answered in a professional matter by a gentleman named David (by the way, great suit and watch selection) and I was overall happy with the visit. I will definitely recommend this bank to those seeking a Private Banking experience!

The customer service at this branch is fantastic. My banker, Kimberlee Chiccarine, responds promptly to every request. She advises solutions to my money management questions. She emails whatever forms are necessary for me to handle transactions. The online banking "app" works well.

For the first time i have to write about my bad experience for loan department in wellesley branch which i did apply for loan back in early Feb 2020 before COVID 19 and i been told to open account and you have This loan ,after more than three months which i have to make phone calls and send e mail and get respond once every month ,they told me we do NOT have this program, we do NOT have this product. Until today i did not get letter from the team that i can NOT get this loan. please if you are getting a loan from this branch follow up.

I was in a time crunch situation trying to get a document notarized for my employee to run payroll. I figured since the document was intended for me on behalf of my employee it would not pose problem., I was one of the first 500 people to open an account 20 years ago in New York. No they didn't. I explained on the phone it was for me and I was tied up with clients, but they refused. I have never heard of such issue dealing with any bank. I told the employee to go across the street to Middlesex Bank and see if they could do the notarizing. Yup, they did, with no account and--- for free. I called First Republic corporate to talk to them about this manager thinking this was an employee gone rogue. Nope, no support and no sorry. I closed my accounts and moved across the street. Good riddance, I am sorry I am not a corporate CEO with millions with my own personal winery. What snobs!

This is just a very wonderful bank. They don't have a lot of branches and that is just fine. In the 4 years I've banked with them I've only need a actual branch 2 times. Every time I have a banking interaction its perfectly executed. The level and quality of service at first republic is unmatched in banking.

Terrible place to bank with, they accepted a loan application and took almost 3 months to come back and tell me no you are not eligible. Their excuse being that they are being very conservative. Why offer a loan program if you don't want people to apply for it? I will suggest people to stay away from the bank. Terrible programs and terrible response rates.

The bank wouldn’t let me cash a check because I didn’t have an account there even though the check was a First Republic Check.
