First Midwest Bank W State St, Sycamore

This location has been updated inside and it has a really professional feel. I’ve met with the staff here on a particular project that was meant to support the community and the bank was really helpful in their financial support of the initiative. The leadership at this location was really kind and supportive. If you’re a local business that is considering using First Midwest as your bank, then I recommend scheduling an appointment and meeting their team for yourself.

This place bought out the local bank that I loved and ruined everything. Their online banking is a scam. Its designed to get you for every penny possible. NB&T's online banking was instant and I always knew exactly what was in my account. They have money taken out of your account for something you paid for three days ago....A small bank like NB&T was able to make it instant but a large chain like this one here can't? When I spoke to the banker about it she said, "Well no banks around Sycamore are instant." Idc about other banks!!! So I will be closing my account at this horrible bank tomorrow. I'd rather keep my money under my mattress. This is just another large chain who doesn't care about you or your money. RIP NB&T

Bought out the local bank, NB&T. Now they are just like any other national chain. Was told they would be able to provide better rates, but that was a lie when I went to buy another car. You are simply just another number to them now.

Was a great bank and the tellers are fine but the fees are off the charts. They will charge you for just about everything. Loans aren't any better. I have very good credit and was denied for car shopping too much(they approved me for a loan a week earlier at a dealer). Taking my savings my checking and my buisness account elsewhere

Terrible company. Do not bank with First Midwest. There's nothing wrong with the local people, but the bank itself is hard to work with and takes forever to process any changes to your account. I've been trying to change my name with them for almost a year and it still hasn't gone through. They were much better when they were NB&T.

ATM sucked my $200 back and they say they have no access to. I feel robbed with no empathy. Barb branch manager says oh well dispute with your bank. Really? Really?
