We have been very pleased with FIB's service. Of course, it depends on the individual, but we have found most to be extremely competent and thorough.

I was lucky to meet Linda over the phone at Pioneer Place Downtown Portland Branch. I received very professional and exceptional service on complicated transaction. She seemed very knowledgeable,patient and kind. On different business I recommended my husband to contact her for completing transaction. He said it was very easy and pleasant to work with Linda. She would get back to us promptly with necessary information to help to complete the transaction. She is definitely a great asset for the branch and the Bank of the Cascades all together. nice people in the branches, but horrible banking practices where there is no regard for the customer. instead of working with you, they rack up fees on your account. Even when things get paid, there still issues. I am all about local but i would rather use chase or wells fargo instead of this inflexible, poorly managed, money focused bank. Go anywhere and you will have a better experience and be able to use your money wisely.

I have been extremely disappointed with FIB because they continuously reject my remote deposit's and then charge me ridiculous amounts of fees. I do not want to close my account because the impact it will have on my credit score, but the late fees are even more harmful. They refuse to do anything about it. and yes I've had success with their remote deposits, and sometimes I resubmit it three or four times and they finally accept it but refuse to credit any fees. Do not sign up with FIB!

Great place. Customer service is awesome. One of the best banks in the state, along with the employees at this location. Theyre always helpful.

Lorenzo would help me a lot. He provided the best CS. Now that he is gone service has gone downhill. I Rather go to Salem now.

First Interstate is the best. It's a great regional bank. I banked with them in Wyoming before moving to Portland and was delighted that I didn't have to switch banks because they recently expanded to this area. Small bank feel and great customer service. Highly recommended.

One of the slowest and most unprofessional banks I have ever dealt with. I was attempting to cash a check written from a client of theirs and it took them over an hour to process it. Then once processed they only allowed me get 20% of the check amount in cash and the rest in a cashiers check. And to top it off, the amount given in cash was in all 50s because they didn't have big bills. Seems very scary that a bank wouldn't even have cash on hand

Great bank! Friendly, knowledgeable people. This is my bank and they always come through for me.
