One of the worst banks I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with!! This bank has more fees than a kennel dog has fleas!!! $37.00 overdraft charge which is assessed in part because this bank takes out withdrawals from your account at around midnight and then waits until around 7 am to deposit money into your account. You are also charged a monthly banking fee -- even with a business account!

    Response from the owner

Dear Ursula, we're sorry to hear you had a frustrating experience at one of our Johnson City banking centers, and thank you for bringing the issue with our online hours to our attention. Can you please confirm that the banking center you visited on Saturday was our location at 2112 N Roan St? We will look into this and hope to resolve it promptly and accurately!

Always a pleasure with this bank or any branch they have always helpful no matter where you go and to be a large bank they treat you like they have known you personally. I would recommend this bank to anyone they have tons of options and great accounts.

The best bank experience I’ve had. I got an account today and Robert Davis was very helpful. He told us about several useful programs that the bank offers and helped to set us up.

Horrible! If you get paid by a check it takes 1-2 days to clear. While everyone else gets their money right when they deposit it. Now I’m stuck without money until they clear it. 😐😐🖕🏻

Would give 0 stars if I could. Absolutely terrible bank. The staff is awful and almost as bad as the customer service. Not to mention they close at 5 but they turn the phones off at 4 so no one can bother them. Not only that I work during the week and they will lock their doors before 4:55pm and on fridays they’re closed at 5:50. Do not waste your time Or money on this bank.

I don't recommend trusting this bank with your money at all. I had to unfortunately use mobile deposit to deposit my paycheck due to work hours conflicting with bank hours. I have deposited my checks weekly to the North Roan St. Johnson City branch for 4 years. Every check that I deposit is a First Horizon issued check as the law firm I am employed by banks with First Horizon. So due to the schedule conflict with bank hours, I used mobile deposit 3 days ago to deposit my First Horizon issued check. It still had not cleared yesterday, so I left work and went straight to the North Roan St. Johnson City branch. There, I spoke with Brandon Joyner and then Andrea Prince. I was told by both Joyner and Prince that "your funds should be available by first thing tomorrow morning." I accepted this response and left. That was on Friday. I woke up this morning, and the funds were still not available. So I called First Horizon and spoke with Andrea Prince again, who transferred me to customer service where I spoke with Janet. Janet told me that there was a hold on the check until Tuesday, and so she instructed me to back to the North Roan St. Johnson City Branch again, with my paycheck in hand, and speak to an account officer. So I went there, where I spoke with Vanessa Arnie, who seemed to at least try everything that was in her ability to help the problem, verifying that the funds had left my employers account, matching the signatures and confirming that it was a First Horizon issued check. I don't have much an issue with Vanessa Arnie, however, after spending about 15 minutes at her desk, I was essentially told that because it was a Saturday, nothing could be done until Monday, and that if the problem would have been taken care of on a Friday, I would have the funds available today. To which I replied "I was here yesterday. Andrea Prince and Brandon Joyner told me my funds would be available today." Then, Andrea Prince, who is apparently only eaves dropping on the conversation without any intention of helping the problem, chimes in using an incredibly rude tone to say "I said the funds *should* be available and I had noway of knowing the account was new." The account is not new, I have had the account for 4 years, which I informed Andrea Prince about, but she seemed far more interested in just trying to take liability off of herself instead of helping the problem. Apparently my accountability in this was accepting Andrea and Brandon's response that the funds *should* be available in the morning, and somehow forced them to do their jobs and take care of the problem that was allegedly only solvable on Friday but not today. Andrea Prince and Brandon Joyner were in such a hurry to get me out the door yesterday, that they gave me false information, did not do a thorough job looking into the problem, and they've directly caused me to be without money to buy groceries, pay my bills, take care of my child and my medical conditions. I take that very personally. I even asked Vanessa Arnie, "what do I do? I can't get groceries, do I take out a loan for this amount??" to which she replied that I could not even take out a loan from the bank because it's a Saturday. I do not live near this branch, I've made 2 trips to this branch from my town to resolve the issue, just to be told the issue could not be resolved. I've spoken to 5 First Horizon employees at length about this and they have all refused to resolve the issue. On Monday I will be closing my account with First Horizon bank and taking every legal action against this bank within my power. I simply cannot get over how rude Andrea Prince, Account Officer of First Horizon Bank on North Roan St. of Johnson City, TN treated me. I do expect to be speaking to her direct supervisor first thing Monday morning, simply because of how rude Andrea Prince treated me after her place of business has essentially held my paycheck hostage.

This is the worst financial institution I have ever dealt with. The tellers don’t have access to any information in regards to your account, and customer service tells you to go into a branch for information. Do yourself a favor and find another bank to deal with that actually cares about their customers. Will be closing my account this coming week.

Lots of fees to avoid, poor service and the tv on in the waiting lines for the teller have on the Republican tv channel. Switched to a credit union which is much better. First Tennessee didn't even ask why i was leaving when i closed my account.
