First Financial Bank State, Huntsville

A great bank full of helpful friendly people. But sweet baby Jesus, what kind of place is only open for three hours on a weekend? When I work the rest of the week, it gets really difficult to go into the bank.

First Financial went above and beyond to assist me in my banking needs after my husband passed away. Everyone from the tellers to the personal bankers to my wonderful mortgage lender were always professional, knowledgable and, of course, friendly and all expertly guided me to the purchase of my very first home!

As a small business, I've come to trust FFB not only for the business accounts but also my personal. I highly recommend them if you're looking for personalized service. Look forward to working with them again in the future. -Chad Austin, owner Dragon AC

I learned a lesson this morning that I will not soon forget. I attempted to transfer money from one account to my FF account. I waited 20 minutes for the doors to open in Huntsville. Upon walking in I noticed James was not there. Something told me to leave, but I approacted the tellers. An older lady who's name I have already forgot asked how she could help. I explained what I wanted and sge asked me how much I want to transfer. I asked how mych I could transfer and sge said "however much is in the account, but if they charge and you dont leave enough and it declines, you'll have to wait until tomorrow to try again." Knowing it was a $25 tranfer fee I wanted to leave some extra money in the other account. I told her a number. She walked off with my cards and a couple minutes later told me it declined. Are you kidding me? Then told me there may be a limit I could transfer. So basically instead of taking a couple extra minutes to find out the facts, she assumed. Then had the nerve to tell me to try again tomorrow. First off if you have a Monday-Friday job, don't use this bank. Heaven forbid my hours are the same as tge banks, so gorget that idea. The only perk to this bank is James. He has taken extra time to ensure ge is telling me correctly! He is always friendly too! Will be looking into other banks, for sure this week.

Stephen Casper , one of the reviewers of this institution is an alias created by Dr. Thomas Brommage who is employed by SHSU. Dr. Brommage has expressed his disdain for Texas and Texans on his Twitter account and has apparently taken his frustration out on the local businesses of Huntsville. Although the philosophy of humor is one of his interest, I see no humor in trying to harm the reputation of a fine local bank. Educators should be a positive in their community, not seek recklessly harm their community

We have been baking with First Financial for years. They have gone over and above to serve us. Both Huntsville branches are very customer service oriented, and have a hometown feel. My husband, me and two of our adult children have financed multiple loans with this FFB, with little or no hassle. We wouldn't bank anywhere else.

I am the headmaster at Alpha Omega Academy. As a school, we endorse First Financial and the great people who work to provide financial services to Huntsville. They have really served our school community well. Thank you, First Financial for all you do.

If you do not have an account with them, you are charged a 5$ fee... FIVE DOLLARS... thats ridiculous. For some people 5$ is a whole hour of work... Customer Service has an attitude and laughs in your face when you discuss these issues. Thanks alot First national bank! You really know how to put someone in a bad mood. I'd give zero stars if I could.

This is a great bank! Everyone is friendly, helpful, and down to earth. They answered all my questions and assisted me with my needs. They are very hospitable and make you feel welcomed and appreciated. Thank you all!
