First Entertainment Credit Union City

My mom and I have been members of this branch for 6 years. I’m extremely grateful to this particular branch because I received my very first credit card here. And because of them I have now established good credit. And I’m grateful because I was at least given the opportunity by them when everyone else told me no. Even Best Buy and Macy’s told me no and my first thought was how on earth do you create a credit history if everyone keeps saying no lol. Anyway they’ve always been extremely sweet to my mother and I. So I told my best friend and boyfriend and my mom told her oldest sister and we all bank with First Entertainment. One thing I love about this branch is my best friend had bad credit and he wanted a second chance and they gave him the opportunity to do that. So now he also has good credit. I absolutely appreciate you First Entertainment.

Went in to acquire an auto loan for a fairly minuscule amount in comparison to what used cars are selling for these days. This is supposed to be a bank with a mission statement of "we help artists and musicians". Honestly, I didn't feel very "helped". I'll admit that I was a little late in turning in some financial information due to the incompetence of my workplace. But even on top of that, I didn't hear back about the loan for a whole month. I FINALLY heard back only to find out I was denied said loan. Too little too late as well as the car was sold out from under me because they took so long. Apparently working two jobs and being a starving artist isn't enough for this bank to help out those they claim to help in their mission statement. I wasn't even offered an option to throw on a co-signer. I didn't go down to one star only because the employees there that I dealt with were very nice and pleasant to work with. They're just doing their job. It's not their fault the system in general is corrupt.

BEWARE: Do not trust your money with this bank. They have 0 fraud protection. Try giving them a call and see how long it takes for somone to answer the phone. What sent me away from them is If someone steals 1000$ from your account the only way you will be able to get it back is to fill out a form and wait 5-10 business days for them to review the fraud charge. If you needed that money to pay rent, you could get kicked out of your house by the time the bank regained control of your money.

I came here to get an auto loan for a car. I was working with Mildred, and not only was the process extremely easy but she was very helpful and went above and beyond my expectations as far as customer service goes. She responded to my emails, and gave me accurate answers for questions not only regarding the loan but my normal account as well. I would highly recommend this bank to anyone.

Terrible bank. Charged my $60 in fees because they left my savings account open when I told them specifically I wanted to close everything, and that I was done with them. I’m going to make the refund me though. Any other bank > First Ent

I went in today to open 4 new accounts for my kids and the teller there had a bad attitude did not greet my wife after my. wife greeted him, said for all 4 you know it will take up to an hour....like really, just do your job did not ask for a timeline. Them proceeded to tell me they needed to run my credit since I needed to open an account with them with this attitude like if he assumed I had bad credit. Just a bad experience overall and took my business to another Credit Union that were a lot nicer and helpful. Companies need to put the right people with the right attitude when it comes to customer service and I am glad I did not open any accounts with them.

Service was so bad... How bad was it? They make the DMV look like Disneyland in comparison. They could get schooled by the post office. I seriously thought it might be a prank show or that maybe they were secretly trying to alert me to the fact they were getting robbed or something. But, no! It was just a normal day for them. And this is NOT the first time.

**Unfortunately I do not recommend this credit union** Reasons: They DO NOT refinance their own loans. They do not go out of their way to help you or make any flexibility in an event of hardship that you may have when it comes to making a payment whether of your on time payment history. My husband regrets ever giving them business.

I have been a member for years. Very good staff: professional, knowledgable, polite. Great atmosphere, modern and bright. Rates are phenomenal, policies favor the clients, ease of use of the website and by phone. There is no reason to bank anywhere else.

I cannot recommend this credit union. Ridiculous fees and they have been exploiting their members with their fees during Covid-19.
