Very happy Member! I have been a member of First Community Credit Union since 1996, I left the branch for a few years when I got married and went to Navy Federal Union, big mistake! I applied for a car lone and a credit card and was denied for both. I closed my account and returned to First Community March 2022 and just recently financed a 2022 Dodge Challenger at 2.7 interest and was approved for a visa line of credit. I LOVE First Community Credit Union and look forward to a mortgage lone.

Wonderful credit union and wonderful employees! Over a year ago, FCCU helped me open a checking and saving accounts with merry minimal amount required to keep open…very little and no fees. Then they were able to set me up get a great car loan with much better interest than the dealership had offered. The gentleman at FCCU that helped me do all this was knowledgeable, friendly and efficient! My experience was wonderful and continues to be nothing but positive with any need I have. I highly recommend this credit union!

I had a personal loan with Fccu. Though I paid the loan, my checking account was closed and then reopened. When I couldn't used my card, I inquired. They said the account was closed due to non-payment. I told them that the loan had been paid out. Miraculously, after checking into it, the account was suddenly reopened, but I was told that I had to reopen another account because once the account was closed, I cannot have an operable credit or debit card associated with that account that I can use at an ATM nor can I make member ro member transfers with that account. I refuse to close the account because for over 20 years, I've had direct deposit and monthly bills drafted. I'm thinking lack of communication from department to department and/or a new employee may have closed the account, accidentally, because their turnover rate appears to be awful at FCCU. I'm just suffering the consequences because of it. I didn't know any better, so I did what they suggested and opened another account just to have access to a debit card. Therefore, I'm paying the price for their mistake. I'm curious to know if research was done regarding account closures, how many accounts have been closed (emphasis based on ethnicity subgroups), and what might we find. I'm strongly considering having this done via investigative reporting. 🤔

This bank will say and do anything to have my whatever loan request rejected, 3 years ago my auto loan refinance request got rejected because i was not a US citizen, last week the same person who is a US citizen today applied for a personal loan and got rejected for short hitsory and acc length or whatever they have said, i dont get it, i bought a house, 3 cars and were all paid off of the same credit they said it needed more history and length, i called the decision dept and was transferred to an agent, i asked her about the reason because to me it was weird, was rude and didnt give me a decent answer telling me they receieve the decision and has nothing to do with it lol! Wait i thought the answering machine guided me to her because it literally said "decision dept" oh well! What does my wife who is a teacher, and me need to do, FCCU in order for us to get your approval over a loan? Should we buy a spaceship on our credit and pay it off so that we can look more reliable? Banks tend to forget that what makes people ask out for money in the first place, is that they dont have it! If i am reliable enough, i wouldnt be asking for your help because i would be more established financially, but again i guess a house and 3 cars are simply not enough.

Charges fees they are not supposed to. This Credit Union is supposed to be one of the credit union partners also know as a co op or sister bank with my credit union. But First Community refuses to honor that agreement and tries to charge $3.00 transaction fees.

COLD HEARTED THIEVES!! My parents and I have had accounts at this bank for more than 20 years. When my mom passed a couple years ago my dad had her removed from their account and had me added to it. They also had a credit card through them. A few weeks after my dad passed a couple months ago they pulled all the money from both accounts with his and MY name on them and put the money to pay the balance on the credit card. No call, no letter, no notice at all to tell me why this was done. I had to make SEVERAL phone calls myself to determine what was going on. I’m STILL not certain they had valid authority to STEAL money from accounts MY name was on (and that I ALSO deposited money into) WITHOUT NOTICE to pay off MY PARENT’s credit card. I got vague responses and paperwork that didn’t match up. I’ve closed ALL my accounts with them now, not taking a chance that they’ll steal more of my money. Mind you, I’m not disputing the credit card debt, that is money owed by my Father’s Estate, NOT ME. That is my issue. There is a PROPER WAY to settle debts with the estate of a deceased person…THIS IS NOT IT. This was shady dealing all around. Run as far away from this bank as possible. ASAP.

Just financed my 3rd car with FCCU! This time around the dealership was being very difficult because they wanted me to finance in house. FCCU was EXTREMELY helpful and thorough with me. I called, emailed, and texted them a million times regarding the issues that was arising (all because of the dealership giving me the run around). I talked with Justin, DeAndre, Sidney, Shanika, Nick, Elle and probably others. They all provided me with exceptional customer service. They remained professional with me, and kept telling me how valued I was as a customer, despite me being rude and frustrated with them because I was at the dealership for hours. I’m so happy I finally left with my car after DeAndre personally contacted the “Director of Finance” at the dealership on my behalf to tell “Sales” to release my keys. I've been banking with FCCU for 19 years and have never had any major issues. I really enjoy the convenience of their app, online banking and virtual tellers. I refinanced my home. My FCCU loan officers were Jasmine Ford and Tricia Summa. These ladies made me feel as I was their only customer. Their professionalism, thoroughness and wonderful customer service went above and beyond. Both of them were Johnny on the spot, they would call or email me if they needed a document and keep the communication going until I closed on the load! Got a strange text from email addresses about a direct deposit being on hold. Problem is I don’t have an account with this bank. Called them to verify that no accounts were open in my name. They were very respectful to my regards for securing my personal information and informed me they were aware of some phishing emails and texts that had gone out to members and non-members. Can’t speak for what it’s like to have an account, but they are very professional in dealing with the results from a fraud attack.

After 25+ years at FCCU it’s time to shop for a useful credit union. FCCU has become useless. 5 days after applying for a motorcycle loan, them pulling credit reports, lots of calls back and forth, etc., they come back with a response: “We don’t make loans for motorcycles over 7 years old.”

Worst finance company I've ever delt with. Truly awful crooks. Terrible customer service. They make pavements ridiculously difficult. They've added thousands to note for insurance when collateral was fully insured and proof was sent. Total joke. Avoid these low life idiots at all cost.

I am starting to lose faith in this credit union. I applied for a loan to try to get financed for a vehicle through FCCU since they are who I bank with, I got denied. I was told I would get an email explaining why I was denied but have yet to receive that email. The very first time I applied for a 2000 dollar personal loan and was denied that aswell but somehow can get approved for a 4500 dollar loan through a 3rd party (didn’t accept the loan). I am young trying to build my credit higher so when time comes for something like a house I can get one. But not even going to try here. Not sure how this place will help me if rejection is all I get from here but somehow approved at other 3rd party places. Tragic. Will more than likely close my account on my next day off.

They don't offer l denominations in cast. ( no 10s,no 50s). Ay one of their other sites I was trying to turn off my bill pay, and seeing that Iocked myself out he just rest is and had me change my lock in password. I don't do banking on my phone.

I just do not understand the logic. I am a member of another credit union, but First Community works together with my credit union….so I am a share branch. First Community has a policy where share branch people can’t make deposits in the drive through…talking to an online teller. I am required to park my car, mask up, and come inside to talk to an online teller. With Covid out of control, I do not know why this policy which does not even make sense, has been changed. This policy only brings more people inside the building which adds to further risk of their own employees. It also adds risk to me having to come inside. I think that especially during these times that this policy needs to be adjusted. I have actually considered using this credit union as my primary banking, but it’s little things like this that change my mind.

Only problem I have is that with my credit card they won’t let me pay off the entire amount. They want to to bring in an actual check. No I’m writes checks anymore. How do you not take an ach payment.
