This credit union. Received my money for a 13000.00 dollar check and after receiving my money on the 28th of February they are still holding my money 9 days later. And still don’t have the money in my account. There excuses were that’s how we do it. So now I been ripped off on a bank loan and now holding my money that they have had for 9 days. I don’t recommend firelands credit union. Bad for business. Time to change to a regular bank. They like to play with peoples money. I don’t recommend using them.

Don't expect to be able to contact your local branch. This is not a reflection of the tellers. Tellers are fantastic though.

They are horrible and rude! We are all going through a pandemic and they still take your money instead of helping their customers! Selfish pigs

Opened an account planning to switch over to Firelands being my primary financial institution. I couldn’t activate my debit card using my information. They put my information as my wife’s. Called and verified our funds were available and also verified at the ATM prior to trying to make a purchase. Card got declined three times (embarrassing) and also wouldn’t let us take money out at the ATM. Also could not activate online services because of errors with demographic information. After hours support couldn’t help had to wait for a call back Monday morning. Was told online and my debit card issues couldn’t work because my wife was primary. Who knows why, I put my information first when I started it online. They wouldn’t talk to me about my wife’s debit card not working. When I set up the account I declined to set up a savings. When I went to close the account due to their incompetence they told me I *had* a savings and I would not be able to close it till I pay off my auto loan, so basically they can open an account without your authorization and refuse to close it. Come on down to firelands for large scale Wells Fargo type swindling on a smaller local level. Also found the account opening very personable, well as personable as watching someone stare at a computer screen in silence for 20 minutes can be.

If I could give them a 0 star I would! They are the most rude people and dont help their customers instead take from them! I would never recommend them to anyone!

Very quick & friendly, although I wish they were open til at least 5:30 so I could make it there after work.

Best bank in town, very quick and professional staff.
