Firelands Federal Credit Union North St, Bellevue

We had a great experience with Firelands Federal Credit Union handling the purchase of our home. Janice Watson was our Mortgage Loan Officer and she did an excellent job of communication that was prompt and thorough. I should add that this purchase was one that was not a typical routine. We in fact purchased from an owner that was lives out of state and wrote the contract ourselves. Janice was pivotal in this process; her attentiveness and experience allowed things move along smoothly and timely to meet all deadlines. I have banked with Fireland Federal Credit Union for 30 years.

I am a student who was looking to find somewhere to establish my accounts with locally. I was recommended to Firelands FCU by a friend. They have been super friendly and helpful from the start. Got my debit card the same day! I now even have my car loan with them.

Worse bank about fees and fraud prevention. This bank has allowed fraudulent companies to take money directly from my account. I have told them the withdrawal wasn't authorized they stopped it then the next day my account was overdraft from the same person. Don't forget the overdraft fees they charge. They offer no overdraft forgiveness. I was short 1.08 got it covered within minutes and they still charged me $60 in overdraft fees on top of not paying the initial bill. I'm essentially out $90 because I was short 1.08 for 5 minutes

Recently opened a checking account and the services offered are great! The workers were not only extremely nice but very helpful and prompt. I would highly recommend this credit union. 10 out of 10!!

This experience with FFCU, Janice, Jason and Christian was the BEST experience i have EVER had with FFCU. I've been a member for at least 40 yrs. They were curtious,compationate,respectful,understanding and treated me and my daughter as the most important person there. They worked together as a great team and "brain stormed" to get me the best experience and outcome possible . Because of this, I can now have peace of mind with my situation. Christian and Jason were able to help my daughter with her issue to create a credit history and her give her peace of mind. Thankyou, Janice, Jason and Christian from the bottom of our hearts! ❤

Jennifer is absolutely amazing! She goes the extra mile for every single customer and works diligently to be sure that closing dates are met and proper expectations set! She is also very personable and fun; absolutely a bundle of joy to be around and partner! One of the very BEST!!! Thank you so much for all of your hard work and dedication!!!

Janice Watson did an awesome job getting our house refinanced and is now working on a home equity for us. Very timely and keeps us informed of status along the way. Great people to work with.

I recently used Firelands Federal Credit Union for a mortgage on my first house purchase and I am thankful that I found them. I was first dealing with a bank that did not seem to care about me because my loan amount was small and I didn't have great credit - but a friend told me about the branch in Sandusky and I'm thankful I checked them out. They made the process easy to understand and did not make me feel dumb for asking questions.

I do not write reviews, but found it to be my only choice because Firelands will not communicate with me at all. Absolute worst experince with a Lender for a Mortgage that I have ever had in my 4 years as a realtor. Their loan officers are not knowledgable about the loans they offer, especially VA. I had to leave a star to post this and that is a 110% more than they deserve for their lack of care, communication and knowledge cost my buyer over $600 inspections that weren't needed for her loan type and almost lost her the home she loves multiple times. Do not use them as a lender for your home!

I have my check direct deposited so i dont visit the branches much. But, when I do, I've never ever had sub-par service. Great customer service EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.
