Financial Center First Credit Union S Dixon Rd, Kokomo

Financial Center First Credit Union has done an excellent job in handling our mortgage. Several years ago when rates dropped they contacted us and said we could lower our rate 1/2 percent for just a $398 processing fee and no additional underwriting. That saved us thousands of dollars over the life of the loan. Not to mention that our home is a log home which many lenders will not lend money for.

When the merger first happened, I hated it. Some of my accounts were changed into new accounts with restrictions. I wasn't informed about these restrictions until after the fact. I have since closed those accounts. Having worked at Kokomo Heritage for over 40 years, I feel lots of the personal side of Customer Service has changed for the worst. Now you have to call a service center and set on hold for ever. I realize times are changing, but Kokomo Heritage always prided itself on the personal Customer Service which I feel has been replaced with phone services with little personal touches. You can't call the Kokomo office directly. It's call the 800 number and talk to a stranger or leave a message and get a call back later if you do call an extension.

There is a lack of communication between employees at the Indianapolis branch, customer call centers, and my local branch. However, I appreciate the employees at my local branch who are friendly and offer to help customers.

I love this credit union. Great customer service. Always a friendly face to great me.

I like Financial Center First Credit Union. The workshops are good. Even though I have a fairly strong financial base, I've learned something from each of the ones I've attended. Jamie is a good presenter. The Kokomo office has a friendly staff and I like the reading area and that financial and business books can be borrowed. I've borrowed a few and I've sat in a cushy chair in the Kokomo branch and skimmed a few. I've had problems opening accounts with the credit union. I would like to give a higher rating than 3 stars but with the problems with opening accounts I can't justify going higher than 3 stars.

The staff are friendly and helpful. However, the major changes made recently were not announced to the members. I found out the location was changed when I went to make payment at previous location. Also the name change was not made known to us. I drove past the new location 3 times before I went inside to ask if this was the new location. On my last trip in I was told that I had a negative balance due to standard member fee changes. The previous $5 had now become more than $100 AGAIN WITHOUT NOTIFICATION! Not impressed.

Friendly staff that always get you in and out quickly. Helpful when you have questions about your account.

I have many to access my statements and other things, because each the wants to send a code, by the time I get the code the web site is gone!

Always helpful. They didn't try and push services that i don't need. Very professional.
