They Opened 2 Accounts by mistake. When they cancelled one account my debit card was refused. Very embarrassing. 😳 Took 10 days for new debit card. I ended up with a credit alert program (for a fee of course) that I FEEL COMPLETLEY I WAS FORCED INTO. After cancelling credit alert, I was Not Aware I had, 5th 3rd Contacted me requesting I Not Stop program. I feel 5th 3rd did Not Respect My Wishes. Clearly they have an agenda of their own. I will say I like the credit card. I have Not had any issues and it is at a low rate.

    Response from the owner

The worst bank in history… have been a 53rd customer for 5/6 years and live right down the street from this location…. They are so rude and so nosey… they always question me and why I am depositing and withdrawing money… I drive 10 mins away to go to pinellas park location and I suggest you do the same… I usually stay away from this location due to previous rudeness and them making me feel awkward for comming in to deposit my checks… I recently came back to this location for the first time in a year or so… I went through drive through and was asked why I was wasn’t just using the drive up atm… like excuse me I wanted to use your drive up service that you offer… then I was told she took 20 mins just to come back to talk to me. Then when she did she said if I wanted cash out of my account that it would be 7$ cashing fee of my check… she was just being lazy and they are under staffed and didn’t want to deposit my check and do a separate withdrawal… so she told me I had to cash my check and pay for it to be cashed… never have I been to a bank and constantly being told what to do with my money…. My experiences have been so uncomfortable at this location I have almost cancelled my account that I have had for 5/6 years…. Stay away!!!!

I opened the first of my three accounts here almost 8 years ago, and have Always gotten friendly helpful service whenever I've either gone in or called for assistance! Veanna always greets me with a smile by name! And while other tellers and staff have come and gone over time, they have all embodied the friendly, helpful, knowledgeable service, that I've come to expect from this branch! A great team, and a great bank! Highly recommend!! Five Stars!

    Response from the owner

Isn't Veanna wonderful?! We will be sure to let her know. šŸ‘

Came into office at 230 on a Friday, only a few people here, however there is only 2 people working. I was not acknowledged and waiting to speak with someone concerning my account. It is now 30 minutes later, still not acknowledged and waiting to speak with someone still. I am not sure why this branch is so understaffed, but they could at least acknowledge that I am here waiting to speak with someone. There are many banking options and apparently this is the worst. I will be banking elsewhere after this experience. There is no sign in sheet nor any order in which they are handling peoples needs. I signed up with them due to them offering 200 dollar incentive. I have waited 3 months and still have not received this.

HORRIBLE EMPLOYEES!!!! I have been with Fifth Third for 12 years and the customer service I received last week and today was the direct reasoning for my closing all of my accounts. My husband and I were in line waiting on someone to help us for about 10 minutes. One man was standing in line ahead of us. Shawn Carr (the manager) walked out of his office to help a client ahead of us as he is one of his high end business owner clients. Shawn asked if he could help this gentlemen with anything and proceeded to help him with his deposit. It is now our turn and Nancy the bank clerk (who is incredibly friendly, and professional) tells us that Patricia will be with us shortly. We wait for about 30 minutes and Patricia then tells us it will be about an hour more wait. I then ask if Shawn could just help us really quick. We have been waiting awhile and all we needed was for someone to add my husband to my checking account. Shawn responded that he was far to busy to help us, and we would have to wait at least another half hour until another employee gets back from lunch. How ironic he was not busy to put down everything to help his high end business client. I proceeded to move all of my accounts to Chase down the street and I was in and out in around 30 minutes. How we were treated was not only unprofessional but extremely insulting. Flash forward to today. Patricia has still not addressed my account after asking her to do so 6 times in the past 4 months! Again, Tracy and Shawn are unavailable (both taking their lunch breaks at the same time to smoke outside). I asked for a call back 3 hours ago and still have not received a call. The only helpful employees are the tellers, and a new guy named Jeffrey who I just called since Tracy didn't care to call me back. Tracy, Shawn and Patricia are the direct reasons we have moved all of our accounts and our potential new mortgage business with Fifth Third.

Today was my son's birthday and he was so excited to get his very first checking account. Emily Karsen was the absolute BEST and she made the experience so smooth and easy. She was so professional and even helped me with a card issue I was having. She took her time with us and was amazing. I have been with 5/3 bank for years and I love this bank.

    Response from the owner

Hi Ashley - Thanks so much for sharing your experience, and for becoming a Fifth Third customer. We appreciate the kind words and will be sure to share your message with Emily.

Man, I do have to say that this is the only bank where I've had my debit card get compromised twice. Customer support was helpful enough in replacing them, but I never really got that peace of mind back. Trying to make an appointment by phone to close my accounts was kind of a nightmare. There's a special brand of frustration that comes from jumping properly through every hoop to make sure your errands are in check, only to have one fall through the cracks and cost you an hour and a half that you really didn't need nor want to spend on the thing you'd already prepared and set aside time for. I never got a call for this appointment, but was told I'd be called back when I called myself 15 minutes after it was scheduled. 5 minutes to close and I just called again in the hopes that I could make an in-person appointment for another day and get the process over with. That said, Anton/Tony is a king. He immediately took his own time to help me out and the process was done over the phone in 3 minutes. I just wish the 3 minutes had happened when my appointment was scheduled, you know? Besides these instances it's been a very average banking experience. Their mobile app is easy to navigate and understand, so that's a plus as well.

    Response from the owner

I went to deposit cash into my brother’s Checking account at this 5/3rd Bank location. When I walked up to the teller, I handed her the deposit slip and the cash. She asked if I was on my brother’s account? I said, No. She then proceeded to ask me for ID so she could make a copy for their system, and she asked me for my SSN, My Occupation & my Cell Phone Number. I told her I was not comfortable giving her all of that information as I DO NOT BANK with 5/3rd and I didn’t feel comfortable giving them my information to hold in their system. I asked her why the bank required this information for a deposit? She could not answer the reason why. I asked her, what if there is a data breech? I don’t even belong to your bank and now you have my NPPI in your system? She told me that she could not accept the deposit unless I gave her that information and this was a rule from corporate and she’s just doing her job. I ultimately had to give her the information in order to make the deposit. I made the deposit and I left. I called the corporate office and asked to speak to someone who could explain to me why they require my personal, non-public private information in order to make a deposit? The women at the corporate office could not answer my question and refused to connect me with anyone who might know. She said that it must be a branch rule. I said how could collecting that kind of information be a branch rule? They are inputting my information into your corporate system. I asked her multiple times to please transfer to someone who knows the bank’s policies. She refused. ***A formal complaint has been submitted to the Consumer Protection Financial Bureau.

Older lady with black bowl cut had to be sarcastic to me and tell me the drive thru window was ATM only and I could have read the big sign. I’m fine with being told to go around but do you really have to say that? And other clerks have let me used the window and she didn’t even serve me when I pulled around again to use the tube. Edit: after finishing the transaction the lady told me I can’t come through the drive thru for money orders? When I’ve done that for a whole year? I’ll just go to Seminole.

Parking lots are for their employees only. I parked there and one of the girls told me to move out and said those parking lots are for her employees only. But there is no sign. They don’t even know I’m their customer or not.
