Fifth Third Bank & ATM N Ashland Ave, Chicago

My experience at this branch has been less than satisfactory. I avoid going to the branch so I don’t have deal with a particular person who seems to be consistently in a bad, unwelcoming and sometimes hostile mood. I gave the branch two stars instead of 1 because there are other employees there who have treated me with respect and kindness.

Applied for a Home Equity Line of Credit 2 months ago and still waiting for a closing date... The loan service at this branch is HORRENDOUS. The bankers are totally inefficient, unorganized, and I can't understand how they make their quotas. I would NEVER recommend this location if you need a loan!

I went to this branch on 08/27/13 to talk about my credit card. During the conversation the banker, that was helping me, asked me if I was interested in refinancing my car. After checking the numbers, and a phone call to my actual lender, he told me that I was going to save around $450. I said: "Let's go, let's do it, where do I sign?". He had to call my lender again because I made a payment towards the car loan on the 28th. I finally signed the documents on 08/30/13 and being honest I didn't check the numbers because I thought everything was clear and there was no doubt about anything. I noticed today (08/31/13) early in the morning that the documents I signed were going to give me a savings of $158.34, which is far from the initial amount we talked about. It was my mistake to sign papers without reading them first, but I also think it was a lie what the banker told me in the first place. I learned my lesson this time. Never trust banks, and read everything you are about to sign.

I really like this particular branch. Marrylin is very helpful and I started my account here. Wish I lived closer so I could be doing my daily bank visits here.

went in with simple banking question twice, was told to leave name and number & never got a return call back.

Horrible service. I had a couple issues with this branch before but I always thought they were just having a bad day. However, my account got closed because of paper work they never file. I have been with 53bank for 10 years so you can imagine all that I had to go through because my primely account got closed. Branch Manager Shea Cerati said he was gonna call and get everything straight out but he never did. He wasn’t sympathetic neither understanding about the situation. He didn’t even apologize for having to deal with all this stress and for his employees who never file our paperwork. Very sad to have to close account for good.

DO NOT GO TO THIS BANK! I have tried 3 times to get this resolved to no avail...Fifth Third Bank changed the status of my account from Student, without my knowledge, and took $132 of fees because of this. They will not refund the fees either. This bank steals your money.

My experience with 53rd Bank has always been pleasant and very helpful in many things. I never have an issue with them from this branch to many others. :)

Zaira was very accommodating and helpful with my new accounts. She was friendly and the location is convenient.

Branch manager Shea Cerasi and everyone else is helpful and provides superb customer service.
