Fifth Third Bank & ATM Glendale Ave, Toledo

I phoned this branch multiple times to receive a voice mail telling me to call back later, they were busy with other customers. I went online and set an appt. for a return phone call from the bank and never received a call back. I went back online and started calling all of the area branches in Toledo, until one picked up. I spoke to Chris at the Secor Rd. location, who picked up immediately, and he assisted with obtaining a wire routing number for a mutual customer. Chris was great and deserves a 5 star report. I'm located in Florida and work in a busy office setting. It is very disappointing that Fifth Third Bank does not take the continuous negative reviews of your local branches in Toledo seriously. A reply on the rating page is not cutting it in getting the problem fixed. I would assume your bank is losing business due to not having a live person to pick up the phone. One of your branches did pick up the phone, but immediately disconnected the call. Poor customer service in an industry that relies on the customers to keep coming back for service. Went to open an account. The banker was judgemental, made assumptions, and borderline rude. The banker without knowing anything about us made assumptions as to what bank account would be best. She was persistent in her views without any knowledge of our income or the amount we wanted to deposit on this day. When she was questioned about different accounts she became defensive. We then went to a different bank, was given options, and were allowed to chose the account we felt was best for us. I’d recommend to this Fifth Third branch (Glendale/Byrne Toledo) some cultural competency and customer service training. I did call and make a formal complaint. I plan to follow up in writing.

Fifth third is a terrible institution. They changed my account type without warning and started charging $25 monthly service fees which they would only partially refund. I will never bank here again.

I'm very happy with personal, special our account manager, really helpful, kind and quick.

They do not answer they phones at all no matter what time it is ..rude

Open up a account two week's ago and haven't received my card and I went to cash my check and they wouldn't do it and the lady was rude and told me to just close the account..And she couldn't tell me why it couldn't be cashed, and I had no problem cashing it last pay period but I couldn't cash it this week so I think I'm going to just cancel the account..🤷‍♀️

Okay bank to deposit and withdraw money from, nothing else. There are certain ones that work here that are sarcastically rude. They do not care to help you with your financial goals. And are suspicious of normal customers that come in because they've been robbed before.

Very busy location. The wait can be long mostly due to constant customer questions or arduous requests. Generally, staff is friendly and accomadating. Area traffic around this location is the biggest cause for concern.

Great bank, some of the fees and fine print are....suspect....but as is all banks. I like Tonya, especially, who works at this particular locale
