Fifth Third Bank & ATM Wooster Pike, Cincinnati

Fifth third bank has the be the worst bank that I have ever dealt with. Open an account literally anywhere else. I opened a fifth third account and bought my home through them, which has since been a year year headache. I could deal with the online banking that lags or our cards constantly getting hacked if literally anyone that worked for this company was knowledgeable. Haley who works in this branch is the only nice person I have ever met, but is still not knowledgeable. I had been trying to get fifth third to drop the PMI on my home. I had bought it at the age of 25 and completely remodeled it. I did a home equity line of credit to do some last things before we were putting the house up for sale. Fifth third came out and appraised my house for more than twice what I owe on it. I was excited, so my personal banker told me to write the letter to drop my PMI. Fast forward to two months later of fighting with even more rude people at fifth third (is anyone who works for your bank polite) I am still told they won’t use that appraisal done by fifth third, and that I need to pay $750 for a new one. I was even recommended on to some joke of a department called fifth third cares and spoke with Takia Johnson who insisted she would handle the situation and couldn’t even find the appraisal in the system. I had to scan and upload it to her, only for her to finally call back and say I’d have to pay for another one because this one wasn’t ordered by fifth third. What!?! She basically accused me of ordering it myself despite it having fifth third all over it. Don’t get a loan from this bank, don’t open an account, just don’t do it. They are the rudest people I have ever dealt with, and I can’t wait to close my account and refinance my loans ASAP. ***edit and update. I called the listed number, was on hold for 10 minutes then told my issue could not be resolved. I gave my feedback that by the time that they even responded to my review, I was able to refinance and have a closing date to get rid of fifth third. They will not care about how awful their customer service experience is, but if anyone is looking at this give fifth third a hard pass for a mortgage loan. There is ZERO reason that I should have to pay for a second appraisal because they for some reason just can’t use the one that they already did. Good customer service would have admitted this was a screwup on their part and done the appraisal again at no cost to me, instead of charging me $700 because no one knows what they are talking about.

Fifth third bank is a bunch of crooks... Their REFINANCE department is TOTALLY UNETHICAL in their selling practices... My mom has been a loyal customer for at least 50 years with her house and all they do is hound her every day to refinance her house so they can take it right from underneath her… My mom is 80 years old and they’re trying to convince her to refinance her house because the house is in the area is up in value right now… on a 15 year loan SHAMEFUL HOW THIS BANK IS TAKING ADVANTAGE OF THE MOST VULNERABLE PEOPLE.. I am working diligently looking to file complaints because every time I talk to her people at fifth third bank trying to convince her of this…
