Best folks to work with! I was concerned in the beginning based upon these reviews but boy was I pleasantly surprised how wonderful Jim and his whole team was to work with. I had a closing in less than 24 days from signing the purchase agreement with a builder. I was all lined up with another mortgage lender but FBC was the builders preferred lender and I got all the way from pre-approval, loan approved, to closing within that 24 days as we just closed yesterday on my house. The best advise to people is be organized about all the paperwork you as the buyer need to provide the lender as that is the most important part of the process because without you providing the documents in a timely manner your loan cannot be underwritten. It's not FBC's fault if you don't make it a top priority to get requested necessary documents back to them as quickly as possible and this goes for ANY lender.. 5 stars working with this team and wouldn't hesitate to use them again in the future. Thanks for helping me get my house in such a short time period.

To be honest I never read the reviews I just went by who my realtor suggested. If I had looked at these reviews I may have changed my mind. However, my experience was completely different. In May 2020, I contacted Leonardo he took my information actually ran through the system to see what we can qualify for. Giving us a few tips and things to do , we received our offer letter in July 2020, on July 27th we found our home on August 27, we closed on our first home and with the best interest rate ever. FBC Mortgage kept us in the loop, sent videos of our progress. This was an awesome experience for an first time home buyer. Thank Leonardo, Kowandra and Team for what you have done for our family. I have never met anybody more rude, irresponsible and unprofessional people than Ronald Powell and Lorena in my life. Dont ever expect them to get you an update or answer your call. If you do get a hold of them maybe after 20 calls all would get from is rudeness and attitudes asking you to not be pushy and be patient … Even on the day before my final closing day i didnt recieve the package and all they say it will be sent and asking me to be patience,,, My final closing day…. They stopped answering any of my calls or txt,, i ended up calling their boss and got managed to have the package sent 2 min before my final closing appointment…: I still have not recieved a single word of apology ,,, They should never be allowed to work in any job dealing with people …

Do not & I repeat DO NOT use FCB bank for mortgages. They use a company called CENLAR that withdraws mortgage payments from your account when you don't authorize them to. I manually made my payments to Cenlar, and they managed to hit my account twice after they received the payment. Then they charged me a NSF fee and don't refund the fee, despite them admitting it was a mistake. In fact they told me to go ask my bank for a refund and say it was an unauthorized payment. FCB takes no responsibilities of their actions. When I complained to FCB and told them that nobody picks up the phone at CENLAR, and their call system is runs in an endless loop, they gave me a service managers number that refuses to pickup or return calls. Try call up Cenlar to get to an operator and you will see for yourself.

If I could post 0 stars, I would. My client was referred to FBC Mortgage by a builder and the experience was absolutely horrible from the beginning. My client worked with Jim Lewis and communication was horrible. I have never in my career dealt with someone like this. He barely communicated issues with my client! They sat on my client’s file for weeks despite us urging them to get started earlier due to the nature of the file. Jim assured us that we would close on time and that was not the case. We had a ton of delays that could’ve been avoided if communication was up to par and file was worked earlier. We literally had issues up to closing and the day after. Thank God we were able to close before my client had to be out of her apartment. I will never recommend FBC or Jim Lewis to anyone looking to purchase a home.

After a failed attempt with a big name lender who had very expensive closing fees, Mr. Ronald Powell made me believe that my refinance was possible to close. I appreciate his wisdom and knowledgeable expertise. He worked hard to put my loan together. Marilyn Marson helped to seal the deal when documents were needed and went over and beyond to answer questions and resolve any concerns I had. I appreciate her willingness to help, she answered all emails and phone calls when I needed a response in a timely manner. I am very grateful and happy to work with FBC Mortgage. DO NOT use this mortgage lender! I'm embarrassed to leave this review because this experience was so TERRIBLE! LENARDO MITCHELL is the WORST lender in Ga! He did such a HORRIBLE job. NO communication at all and NO help. My 2 realtors gets all the credit. This is 1 of the main reasons why we skeptical about using our "brothers" because of people like him. It's all about the Benjamins right Lenardo. To make matters worst, this was a first time home buyer experience. Never again, NE VER!

Lenardo is great to work with and get his clients unbelievable deals. I enjoy working with him!

DO NOT use this lender. They said they would prepare loan and still have not followed up 2 days before closing.
