Famous Pawnbrokers Winchester Ave, Martinsburg

Have been fair with extending/not losing items due to not paying by due date. Sometimes it's been 7/8 days and I finally make it in and they haven't repo'd anything yet. As with most pawn shops they only take few things as long as it has value they will usually offer a lower than you want price but what pawn shop doesn't. That's their business and way to make money nobody is forcing us to come here to do business.

This place is an absolute joke. They have a sign stating they buy anything, yet refused to give a loan, or buy many high value items - flat out refused (top of the line Canon camera, $200 watch, designer handbag, and a few other odds and ends). My husband made two trips (across town - wasting the little amount of gas we had left in our vehicle), trying to get a very small loan (for less than 14 days) and they were rude, and extremely unhelpful - they said they couldn't give a loan or buy anything he brought in. Don't waste your time or hard earned money at this joke of a business!

Not that great of a place. In a congested area that’s hard to get in and out of. When I came in the two employees totally ignored my presence there. I wanted to look at an item and they were both to busy to even say one word to me. So I waited for about 10 minutes and still not a word so I left to take my business elsewhere. Not an good experience at all here. Wouldn’t recommend at all.

Very rude folks, say you pay top dollar for gold and then cant discuess the prices. Lol clown! These guys will give you next to nothing for you items! Sellers beware

Sold a friend of mine a tow behind welder which later was determined to have been stolen. The Police recovered a lot of stolen property there pawned by the same criminal but because this had already been sold, the shop will not give him his money back. He is now out $1,800.00. I can't say they knew it was stolen when it was pawned but they know now and will not take care of their own customer who bought it legitimately from them. Be careful of what you choose to buy so YOU don't get burned.

I am and have been a loyal customer for 9+ years.The people at Famous Pawnbrokers always give me a very fair price for the items I bring in. I've been to all the local pawnshops and I wasn't satisfied with their service or the prices they offered. Famous pawn doesn't take just any ol' thing, like a lot of the other pawn brokers, but they do take a ton of different items. They are always friendly and do what they can to help me out. They are like a mom & pop pawnshop, smalltown pawn in a good way. Keep up the good work guys!

Awesome pawn shop very very helpful and understanding each gentleman I spoke with was very understanding and caring. They are highly recommended by me if your looking to be treated fairly!!!! Very nice people!!! Thanks again for your alls help ;)

I have been to the shop in wv and md every time I go in either stores I always get excellent service they are awesome people.

I paid on my stuff and some with late fees but once glanda and them like what you bring in you will lose it but they said they would replace some of it but its not what you bring in and please i had two sisters that passed away from cancer and i ask them to hold my stuff and i will be in to pay on it i walked in and jason said sorry it came from the corporate office well there is no corporate office just the owner jen
