Family Savings Credit Union Ryan Blvd, Cartersville

We have had the privilege of buying 2 vehicles through Family and Savings within the last year. The time they took to process the loans was wonderul! They are always so friendly and kind when I go in. I had to go through the drive through to process the last vehicle loan last week and the time was a little longer due to the "virus" but they were very patient and efficient. Scottie Bell the manager was awesome! Fantastic credit union!

Family savings use to be a great bank. They have fallen short of that the last few years. I’ve recently had a mistake on their end where they voided a check I wrote that was over 180 days. It even shows on their checks itself, void after 180 days. They put that money back into my account, stating why after 180 days if a person doesn’t cash the check it goes back to you. Well yesterday I check my account and it’s negative and they lied to me. They allowed that person to cash that check, even though they told me that it was my money again and that I was allowed to use it and all. Now they won’t fix their wrong and put my money back. Now bc of them I’m negative in my account and won’t be paid again till next week. They will not fix their wrong. I highly suggest to anyone who has thought about banking with them, to think other wise. My husband and I have been with them for a good 8 years and now will be leaving. They don’t care about their customers like they once did.

Background: By car was totaled in a wreck that I was not at fault for. I was told that I only had 3 days with the rental car until I would have to start paying for it. So I applied for an auto loan on Thursday at 3:00pm.Their website claims 24hour process of auto loan applications, so I called back Friday at 4:00pm to see if they had an answer for me. I was informed that they had some additional questions that were holding up the loan application, which they never contacted me about. I answered all of their questions and told them I really needed to know before they closed for the weekend. The woman on the phone assured me they would have an answer in less than an hour. I got a notification that a credit inquiry was issued on my account from Family Savings so I figured they were about to have an answer for me. I called back around 5:30pm, an hour and a half after the initial call and was placed on hold until they closed at which point I was told by an automated machine that I would have to wait until Saturday at 8am for any help. I called back Saturday at 8:30am and was placed on hold for 45 minutes only to be told that the loan office did not open until Monday..... I was forced to go to another bank to finance which meant another ding on my credit! Very unprofessional.

Do not return phone calls or emails. Thankfully, they were so sorry it drove me to a much better instruction for a car. The experience was much better and the interest rate was 2% less. Don’t waste your time wi th this place!

Am hanging in with this credit union however constantly my husband and I are wanting to move . Very very slow and rude with customers in drive through. Truly an experience of going to the principles office when you are inching your way up to the window. This location by far is the worst.

My family just moved to Georgia. I researched credit unions and decided to move my banking to family savings credit Union. I just spent one hour waiting in the drive-through. When I get to the window they tell me it will take another hour to open an account. The employee said she had other stuff to do first. Disappointed as I was hoping this would be a great new bank.

I did a lot of business with Family Savings for a very long time. I had auto loans, and personal loans with them. Never late paid them off. My credit is very strong. I tried to get them to help my oldest daughter get a car with me as a cosigner. Wouldn't do it. LGE came through for my daughter. That is why I am with LGE credit union. Family Savings is a joke. Btw I kept a 3k to 5k balance in my account. Take your money elsewhere.

The worst customer service I’ve had anywhere in a long time. Took a week to even submit my loan, always had to contact them, asks for documents one at a time telling you each one is the last one they need. Absolutely horrible!
