Our loan officer, Tanner, was exceptional. Responsive, respectful, and informative. The underwriting team, however, at least in our case, didn't appear to have it as together as we would have hoped. It made the experience more stressful than it normally would have been. Simple things that, in our opinion, should have been caught early in the process weren't caught until a day before closing... and that was even after conditional approval. Either you or your agent should be prepared to stay on top of Fairway to make sure things move forward. But this was our experience. Please take it in context with the other reviews. If we were to do anything differently, we would have shopped lenders instead of just going with the lender associated with our real estate broker's office. Tanner was our only saving grace during the process. He's the reason this is a 3 star review instead of a one. If you go with Fairway, make sure all communication goes through him.

Tanner Garver and his team did a phenomenal job throughout our spec process, explaining the ins and outs without all the jargon and fluff that comes attached with it. Communication was spot-on; we never felt like we were bothering the team, or that they wouldn't get back to us at their first opportunity. Tanner specifically, he's got the demeanor and candor that reminds anyone of small town hospitality, with the drive and wit that is required to navigate the market in a big city. We cannot recommend them enough!

Tanner made the financing process very easy, addressed my concerns along the way and got me approved for more than I could've hoped for. So incredibly grateful to him and his team. My realtor told me once that he's a miracle worker and she wasn't wrong.

Matt and his crew were great to work with. They kept us up to date and answered our questions Even when we had lots of them over and over. They kept their eyes on details and took care of us and our loan.

Tarah Wilson, of Fairway Independent Mortgage, was the worst lender my wife and I have ever used. Poor communication, did not assist in explaining the loan process , and refused to answer questions. She made several errors throughout the entire process, causing multiple delays, which then cost us a lot of extra time and money. The Title company was actually the one who was able to correct our loan papers, after Tarah made several failed attempts. Very unprofessional throughout the entire process and I would never recommend Tarah Wilson or Fairway.

I have used Matt Devine and his team on numerous occasions personally, and I've referred many clients to him as well. Their service is top notch and communication cannot be beat. I will continue to use Matt and refer him to anyone looking to purchase or refinance.
