The company is a great place to work. They provide great benefits and have patient trainers. During training the new hires were asking the same questions and not muting their mics. That part was annoying. Stephanie Parker......I give all the kudos to her for keeping her cool.

I was scammed through a job offer during the pandemic. The supposed company wrote me a bad cashiers check that cleared in 3 days, then it bounced....Thats how this account was created to begin with. If this supposed fh cannon company thinks im going to openly verify my account using the last 4 digits of my S.O number they can think again. I dont trust anyone anymore with regards to my personal information. Make it even worse the rep tells me that is the only way they can verify the account... im not stupid...

Hardest place to work with. They're garnishing my wages for student loans. I've been working with them, made my payments, signed and returned documents and they are still garnishing my wages a month after they said it would stop! Every time I call I'm told another story. They need more documents or the ones I sent weren't good enough. Today I was told they'd have a supervisor call me back and it never happened! I understand they are a debt collector and they have a job to do but they can't do this to people. I'm sure they're paid well for all the student loan money they're taking in, they need to think about how they treat people before that contract gets canceled and another agency gets it. Update, they can have their $5 a month! I will stop the garnishment on my own. I refuse to speak with them or file anymore paperwork with them. I have called the dept. Of education directly to complain and get the garnishment stopped. And I will continue to file complaints with them until my account is given to another collection agency.

Exceeded my expectations (mostly). After years of fear, avoidance and personal mismanagement, my student loans ended up here. It was scary and upsetting to be in default, but the polite and patient staff helped to explain everything carefully and shepherded me back onto the right track. It was not an ideal experience--contacting the person in charge of my account was almost impossible, some processes were very non-transparent, and certain fine-print items were not revealed so that I ended up with some unpleasant surprises (such as getting my tax refund garnished!). However, I think the government was more to blame than the staff of FH Cann. My loan servicer was very helpful and clear, and I ended up a lot wiser in the end. Now out of default and back in standard repayment with a better track record and credit score!

I completed the loan rehabilitation program and they still tried to take my tax refund stating that they still needed signed documents from me. I asked them to e-mail me the letter. They said they would but never did. Now I can't seem to get them on the phone unless I call from an unrecognized number (thanks Google Voice!) One time they hung up on me after placing me on hold for over 30 minutes. I am filing a complaint with BBB and the US Department of Education. I encourage others who have had issues to do the same. Do NOT trust this company!!!!

I actually was really nervous when they offered the super los $5 month payments, I completed the the program and my loans actually came out of default!!! This program works they were all super nice to work with today, I received my letter I successfully completed the program and my loans are out of default... I have a new payment plan yes it’s more money but definitely manageable... totally glad I did it!!!!

We're in the shipping industry and hired FH Cann to help us with an outstanding debtor who owed us several hundred thousand dollars. They agreed to work on a contingency basis with us which was a relief. They helped us recover most of what we were owed and I was happy to pay their fee. We now retain them on a quarterly basis to help with our AR. Very pleased and highly recommend them.

The good people at FH Cann & Associates were actually nicer than the people that I had originally owed money to! I’m not the best when it coms to managing money and I had gotten over my head. When the debt went to this place, they were actually honest and very friendly. They worked out a awesome payment plan!

Same thing happened to me as a few others on the reviews. My college loans went to this place. Neither one of my parents went to college so I really wasn't aware of how loans worked. Long story short they ended up in collections. Which is fine, however... I agreed to pay this place the 5$ a month for a full year. After that they told me I would be placed on the list to be able to go back to school. When I made my last payment they told me that they needed all of these documents from me. When I sent the the documents, they told me that I was no longer able to back to school and that I needed to start paying 75$ per month instead of the 5$ per month. The told me that the year would now start over... This place lied to me and others. They seem to have good customer service but I don't understand how they can get away with lying to so many people.

F. H. Cann & Associates are absolutely the best agency we have worked with. We are a food distributor and it is a very difficult industry to maintain your head above water. The team we had did a great job in recovering our outstanding invoices. I highly recommend this agency.

Collecting unpaid debt was not something I went to college for for and I was always frustrated when our former manager had me do the task. Now that we have a more reasonable person in charge, she decided that such things are best handled by professionals, which is why we make use of the services offered by FH Cann & Associates! Thank you very much!

I have been working with F. H. Cann & Associates for many years now. Their customer service is impeccable and they have gone above and beyond to fulfill my needs. I constantly get solicitors that claim to offer the same level of work but I am very comfortable and secure dealing with this great agency.

I tried collecting on invoices that were months way past due and all I got for my efforts were threats and being called vulgar names. A colleague referred me to the services of FH Cann & Associates. She told me that’s who she uses for debt collections and she got great results. Now, I am getting great results as well! Thank you!

This is 100% a scam. They told me that I owed money to Salem State University. I took 2 classes and paid it off myself in full. No loans. Nothing. They start every call by asking me for my date of birth. If you answer them, they will proceed to ask for your SS#. I've told them multiple times that I have confirmed with SSU that I do not owe any money to the school. I've told this "company" to stop calling me many times. They always reply back in a rude and unprofessional manner as soon as they realize you're not dumb and they can't scam you. Beware!

I was told that I needed to make 3 payments to consolidate my loans. I made the payments as agreed and was told to wait 6 weeks for the loan to be transferred out. I never heard anything back so I called them. They told me that I needed to make up to 6 payments, which they never told me before. Now, they're saying I need to start the process over again. It was really hard to come up with the 3 payments to get consolidated to begin with, and it's terrible that they are treating people so poorly who just want to do the right thing and take care of their debts. They should be ashamed of themselves!

I agree with Lisa. This firm is staffed with people who don't know what they are doing. Every time I called, I spoke with someone different and was told a different story AND they always said they needed more documents or never received the ones I sent over. Because of their incompetency, ALL of the payments I WAS making to them turned out to be unqualified but NO ONE EVER REACHED OUT to me to let me know. I had to call on my own when I realized my payments had stopped. They also won't allow you to switch to other collection firms. No wonder why so many people have so many issues with loan repayments when we are forced to work with people who can't understand their own job.

I have been working with FH Cann since the beginning of January 2020 now. Some of their customer service reps have been awesome and has gone above and beyond, but the others not so much. This company's representatives takes 8 weeks (2 Months) for them to upload and review documents. Every time that I had called into their office I spoke to a different person, and receive different information. Stating that they never received the documents, or that they can't be approved by management. Every time I had asked them why hasn't anyone followed up with me in regards to this they had stated that it is "NOT THEIR RESPONSIBILITY TO FOLLOW UP" This company lack customer service, and time management. I wouldn't recommend them to any one, and if I could, would rate them below 0.

My representatives at FH Cann & Associates always get back to me promptly and courteously. They have been extremely helpful in processing our delinquent accounts. I got a deposit this morning for a collection they have been working on for well over a year now and it made me smile.

I made payments on time for a full year. Despite making payments, they still continued to call harassingly. In addition, my student loan was not rehabilitated as promised. I sent them (both via e-mail and postal mail) every document they requested, yet they claimed they never received them. When I finally got someone to admit they did receive them, they claimed it was not acceptable, and they needed me to pay to have them faxed to them. Mind you this is after I had already made 10 months of payments. I made every single payment on time, and my loan has now been sent to another agency. They had no issue taking payments from me, but they can't fulfil their own obligations.

My office has used a number of collection agencies throughout the years and I have never been satisfied with their work. That changed when we sought out the services of F. H. Cann & Associates. They promised to take care of our outstanding receivables and they delivered. They even managed to collect balances we had actually given up on. Thank you very much!

Hello everyone, I just want to offer some advice about this shady Collection company that Services the student loans for the department of education. Rule #1: Never, Never, Ever give out your personal banking information to these call agents. They will try to convince you that they will just automatically withdraw your payments from your account. Never give them your banking info over the phone. You can make your payments online at Myeddebt.ed.gov Rule #2: Don't make your payments UNTIL you receive your contract via email that explicitly states what your payments will be in order to get you out of "Default" status. The reason I say this is because if you read the fine print on FH Cann & Associates website it says that payments made PRIOR to you receiving your contract will NOT COUNT towards the amount of payments you need to make in order to get your loan out of "Default" status (usually 7 - 9 payments). Thus, you end up paying more than you have to in order to get your loan in good standing. Rule #3: When you make your payments online always save the receipts for your online payments. Follow this method and you will avoid being scammed like other people who educated me on what to do. Update: I'm finally out of "Default " status and didn't experience any mess following these rules. My 1 star rating is because I hate seeing the less fortunate being taken advantage of....

If there was a way to post negative stars, it would be more fitting then the one I am required to give. I received a letter from this company last year.Because I would like to get out of default and repair my credit, I gave them a call.Spoke with rep who got my info and told me that my payment would be $211. Since that was cheaper than the $400+ payments I had been quoted before, I agreed and supplied my banking info.Once they received my check stubs, my payment went up to over $400.I called back, gave info again, and was given a payment amount of $257.I set up bi-weekly payments for that amount.I started getting alerts from Credit Karma and letters from US Dept of Ed about missed payments. This is every month! I call FH Cann back again. This time I’m told that since I’m only paying $257 they are basically taking almost 2 months of payments to make one $400 payment. I submit financial disclosure form and proof of income for my spouse and me. I still don’t understand why my payment is so high based on our take home pay so I call them again. This is when I learn that take home pay is not just what I bring home but any voluntary deductions, like 401k, as well which almost doubled our monthly income! I was sent Financial Disclosure form to adjust expenses and resubmit. I did this and sent it back since rep told me that if I got it back quickly the pay stubs (within 90 days) would still be good. When I called to check on status of recalculations, I was told that my payment amount was still $400+ which didn’t make any sense since my expenses had increased by $2000. I kept a copy of the disclosure form that I sent and went over it with the rep. Someone miskeyed one of my expenses as $100 instead of $1000! Rep apologized and corrected it. Told me that my new payment would be $136. Because I read some other reviews on here, I asked to have my banking info removed. Rep told me that it was and my payments would be postponed until he could send my paperwork up the chain for review. No payment came out of my account but I also still had not received the letter with new payment amount that would actually qualify my payments for rehab program. I checked my account yesterday, and a payment of $2,441.50 had been drafted from my account. Attempted anyway because I didn’t have it which resulted in a $30 NSF from my credit union.I called again and spoke with a lady who genuinely seemed concerned and just as confused as I was as to why that happened. While looking over my account, she noticed that my calculations still had not been done because when I made corrections on the Financial Disclosure form I failed to initial the total...not the corrected expenses just the total!!She entered my new expenses and emailed the form for me to sign. I faxed it back today, and called to verify receipt of the fax. I was then informed that now I have to submit a new pay stub for my husband because I have gone past the 90 days which will result in a new income calculation that I will have to call and follow up on just like I have with everything I’ve done with this company so far. There is no hesitation drafting money from my account, but all manner of slowness with everything else. I am beyond frustrated and the condescending manner in which I was spoken to didn’t help.I know I’m in default by no fault, but I am trying to take care of this. It would really help if the company that I dealt with showed some professionalism and respect for me as a customer.

FH Cann & Associates had contacted me about a medical debt that I didn’t know was in collections. I actually thought at first it was one of those robocall scams but the person I spoke with was very patient and understanding. After doing some research, I discovered that it was in fact a valid debt and paid it off.

How many debtors can actually praise a dept collecting company. I had an awesome person from F.H. Cann & Associates call me. She was sympathetic and practical. We were able to work-out an arrangement to get rid of the dept in no time.

I would give them no stars if at all possible. They lie, don't do their jobs, get financial information WRONG (seems important, right?), and aren't even friendly. Worst loan holder ever. Get away from these bumbling idiots as fast as you can! So happy my loan transferred. They put in wrong info (overestimated my yearly income by over $20,000!!!!) for my income, said "I never sent them" paperwork when I absolutely did via both email and post office. They NEVER call me when something happens or changes. 99% of people I spoke to on the phone were irritable morons. FYI: My new loan is only $20 a month, whereas they tried to get me to pay over $500 initially but I forced them to go down to "only" $150 a month. I did not have one good experience. OH! I also just learned today they actually LIED to me because they said my payments will remain the same with my new loan holder. In lucky and they actually went down, but found out they CAN NOT promise that. This is after they completely ignored my email (that they had asked me to send) updating my income info. Stay away or just make absolute minimum payments until your loan transfers. Don't even get me started on trying to make payments...
