Equis Financial Reviews
l
First lets star off with I work with Equis not for Equis. Most of the negative reviews are about marketing people get in the mail, not the company or the agents. Those letters and cards are from marketing companies. The marketing company makes money by people responding. It is like any other marketing people get in the mail. You must read it to understand. When I see a car advertised for a ridiculous price, I read the fine print to see that it is not the car in the picture and there is only 1 in 50 miles of me. I know I do my best to help people and find something that fits their need and budget. If it doesn't make sense I let them know. Hopefully someone will read this and see for themselves.

That line between a scheme and a scam, they use predatory marketing by looking up public information and calling/texting/mailing unsolicited in mass under the guise of debt collection style tactics. Easy to note its unofficial but they like to act as if theyre assigned and partnered with your mortgage, only stopping with complaints to BBB (sometimes) and the Attorney General. If anyone actually wants mortgage protection, there are much more ethical companies that won't try to screw you out of it when needed, companies that don't have a massive marketing budget and spend more of their budget on actually helping their clients. Block, report and review once you hear from them as most of these reviewers do.

After refinancing my mortgage I received a letter in the mail saying, "We have been trying to reach you regarding a matter of importance as it relates to protecting your new mortgage." This is scammy predatory behavior that vulnerable people will fall for. I would never ever do business with a company like this.

You know a company is bad when all their five stars reviews are written by people who work there or are profiting off of their less-then-ethical business practices. Go ahead and look up their favorable reviews and you'll see that they all work there; shoot most of them start by saying "i've been with equis for..." Anyways, not much to report here except that unless you plan on dying soon you probably don't need this service, and the way they harass you after your loan closes might compel the uninitiated/not-so-bright/elderly crowd to spend whatever they're asking for this nonsense. So, if you're actually thinking about signing up, or feel like you might need mortgage insurance, ask someone who actually knows what they're talking about aND someone who you trust. If you call Equis they're gonna tell you that YOU NEED IT, BAD.

Giving one star because I cannot post a review without it..... this company is a scam and will be reported to BBB. Equis Financial sends mail pretending to be from your mortgage lender, requiring an immediate response. Once the obtain your information, they call daily, some days multiple times per day and even resorting to texting when you do not answer. The "sales manager" uses high pressure tactics to force you to communicate with them. When expressing that I would like to be removed from all communication lists, I have been told they cannot do that and they would send someone to the house to talk in person if I do not schedule a call that requires 20 minutes of my time , my partner's time, and a facetime video. Not only is this unprofessional but borderline illegal.

They are sending me unsolicited junk mail through information they obtained via public record. Completely unprofessional in 2022. This type of business practice needs to be banned, it is incredibly scammy.

I filled out a request for information. It took a little bit for them to get ahold of me, but they took care of me! They shopped around to get the best deal for me and a policy that makes sense! Thank you!

Semi-official looking letter arrived in the mail. Zero information about the company sending it (first red flag), so I had to Google. Apparently I'm not the only one receiving unsolicited mail from this company. Letter started off with "We have been trying to reach you..." No, you haven't (second red flag). This is the first correspondence (and hopefully the last). Please stop preying upon the elderly and those who don't read the fine print. There are better, more honest ways to make a living. Edit: I just received a second piece of unsolicited mail from this "company" in the span of about a week. Makes one wonder what the margins are on what they're "selling" if they're able to send out mail in this volume...

I received a notice trying to look official with my mortgage info and protecting my mortgage. I understand this is public information but it's wrong and deceptive to send this out to scare me into calling them. After looking it up first, it seems to be an insurance company. So this mail they send me is a scam. I will never be using their products. This is very bad business in my opinion.

First of all, anyone who is complaining about foul marketing practices should develop the habit of reading things completely. The marketing materials clearly state that Equis Financial is not connected with or affiliated with the lender whatsoever. They make it blatantly clear. Shame on everyone who speaks out of their own failure to read. I have delivered death claims for multiple homeowners who returned the form we sent them via mail. Without which, the unfortunate spouse would have lost everything they have. Equis Financial is a company of incredible leadership and opportunity. They not only provide every day, working people with affordable protection plans, they also provide incredible opportunity for men and women who want to change their financial situation. I am so honored to be partnered with such an amazing company like Equis Financial. Working here has changed my entire family’s future! If I could give 20 stars I would!!!
