They are like vultures. They called me about a lawsuit I hadn't event been served with yet... At least one employee on the phones when I was there, is under Department of Corrections supervision. Are you going to let them handle your delicate legal matters? Your LAWYER should be working to negotiate a settlement. These guys simply talk like lawyers, and offer to settle your case for 60% of what you're being sued for, based on economic hardship. They typically settle for about 40%, keeping the difference. Furthermore, they require a retainer, which some of the MANY other companies doing this, do not. If you can document economic hardship, contact the plaintiff, and offer to settle for less than half. That's what these guys are going to do.
