Communication definitely could have been better. There seems to be an issue with organizing and prioritizing. As a first time homebuyer, I expected this experience to be somewhat challenging but I never imagined that I would feel like I should have chosen a different lender. I don't feel that I received the same attention and respect as someone who is purchasing a million dollar home. There were times where I felt small and insignificant. I knew coming into this home buying experience that this would be bit challenging but I never imagined that I would feel like I was ignorant based on the messages that were communicated between us. For instance, asking me for an SF50 after business hours, the day before closing is unacceptable. I certainly didn't expect for there to be an issue with receiving my final numbers before closing. My agent basically had to argue for this all the way to the final hour. I am sitting at the bank waiting for those final numbers so I can make it on time to my closing. This created undue stress and anxiety. Also, I didn't appreciate the lack of candor and accepting accountability. There was a lot of finger pointing. Overall, I was disappointed with the services that I received.

Ramsey Davies was an outstanding loan officer overall. Ramsey always communicated with us early/often/regularly, and responded quickly when we had questions; I particularly posed a litany of questions as a first - time home buyer learning some of the critical fundamentals of home buying, mortgages, the housing market, nuances with condos versus single-family homes, and the like, among other details. I also want to send kudos to Rachel DiGrazio who did an outstanding job helping get us cleared to close (CTC) and get our loan underwritten and across the finish line for final approval. I will do a separate review for our realtors, Melissa Davey and Ana Kloth, but it was worth noting here that they were also fantastic. As a suggestion for future improvement, if possible, it would be ideal for prospective buyers to take the 2-3 hour home buying Fannie Mae course earlier in the process. This was a great team effort overall in helping us to land a home amid a horribly daunting buyer market home-wise; much appreciated, and I will definitely refer folks who are looking to buy (or sell) to Embrace Home Loans on an ongoing basis.

I loved working with Kyle Vredenburg. He was the third mortgage officer I had to work with because the previous two gave me the run around. Only to tell me 6 months into the process, they were not able to accommodate the intricacies of my loan. By the time I got to Kyle, I felt very jaded by the entire process. Thankfully, Kyle was a breath of fresh air. Amazing doesn't begin to describe what a relief it was to work with someone who knew what they were doing. I worked with Josh DelConte. The apartment building I had been living in was sold in the middle of summer in a tourist town. I had 8 weeks to move, but there was nothing available. Within 2 days of contacting them, I had a pre-approval letter to start shopping for my first home. I could never get the loan officer at my bank on the phone; her voice mail was always full. Josh returned all of my calls within a half an hour. With Embrace, the loan was processed and the underwriting was done quickly, so that I could close quickly, which made my offers stronger. Worst experience I've ever had doing business! I was working with Loan officer Matt Russo and the communication was TERRIBLE! Once he told us we were good to go I wouldn't hear from him for weeks. I would call and leave a message for him to call me back and most often he would not return my call. Occasionally I would get him on the phone, and he would always tell me that he would have to call me back, yet I would not receive a call back. Frustrating is an understatement!!! I still have no idea what happened with our loan??? A big waste of my time and I would not recommend Embrace home loans especially Matt Russo. Honestly, I wouldn't even give him 1 star! I wasted so much time being patient with him! He really needs to find a new line of work!

Every since closing the loan, I have been inundated with a ridiculous number of loan insurance companies sending me letters in the mail... 24 and counting. Extremely annoying, extremely irritating. If not for this nuisance, I would have given the overall experience a much higher rating. Here's a suggestion: in the future, simply ask the customer if they want the option of receiving mail from loan insurance companies. If the answer is no, then do not give out the customers information. For the past three days I've come home to a ridiculous amount of mail which gets thrown right in the trash or shredded.

Initial interaction with Mike Pirrone, Loan Officer I was referred to Mike Pirrone by a good friend of mine. This is a review based on my initial interaction with him. Mike recognized the fact that I was asking him very detailed questions and asked me whether I have some type of experience in the lending business. I told him that I went through a very intense real estate purchase and so I picked up some Wisdom from that experience. Hence, I am very careful in choosing with whom I want to build a business relationship with in building my forthcoming real estate portfolio. Therefore, this is an initial interview to decide whether we are a good fit or not. To me, a true business professional exemplifies the pedigree of patience, integrity, and ability to create and maintain relationships. Mike seemed offended for my detailed questions as he would not want to answer them directly. So he was offended when I expected more detailed answers to my questions. He yelled at me on the phone and told me that "you are wasting my time" and informed our mutual contact that he would not want to work with someone like me. I agree, Mike, as you said, we are not a good fit. For those clients that are looking for similar professional qualities in a team, you may want to reconsider Mike Pirrone, whether he is a good fit for you or not. Choose wisely.
