Uncle Elliott, as I have come to crown him has the most trustworthy shop in town. Elliott and his team are friendly, helpful and completely trustful. The keyword here for me is trust. I've known Elliott and have stored my personal items in his shop for over 20 yrs. plus. A musician friend of mine told me to go there in my early stage of the music biz, to look for equipment. I did so, and I've been a true fan of the shop, and most of all "Uncle Elliott". Elliott is not only a shop owner, but a down to earth guy who looks out for your needs. I've never worried about my goods at Elliott Salter Pawnshop. If you want fairness, genuine pricing and real conversation, this is the place to go. Thanks Elliott for being a good friend!

I have been working with Elliott for over a decade. Honestly, it’s like working with family (the good, supportive kind, not the crazy Thanksgiving dinner kind). If you need quick, safe liquidity to get you out of a crunch, these guys always come through. They are reasonable and have always bent over backwards to work with me. I always feel the love!

I have known Eliot for many years . He has always been a stand up guy and always helped me any way he can . Being in show biz he understands the life of an entertainer! This is one of my favorite pawn shops I’ve ever been to. The collection is so eclectic and exciting to dig through. I’ve found some excellent pieces here. Elliott & David are also awesome guys. Great energy and some seriously epic stories.

Excellent staff and Elliot himself is a national treasure. They’ll treat you fair, pay top dollar and your stuff is safe. The guys are knowledgeable, nice and are willing to go the extra mile to make sure you get what you need. They gave lots of great merchandise for sale too, from gold to guitars, cameras to stereo gear and jewelry galore. I’d give them 6 stars if I could.

Elliot and the guys at Elliot Salter Pawnshop are great. I've purchased items from them as well received loans from them and they're always easy to work with. If you're in West Hollywood stop by and pay them a visit. They have a good selection of vintage musical gear as well as jewelry and other vintage finds!!!

When I first walked into Elliott Salter's Pawnshop, I knew and felt something very special about this place. Once I met Elliott, Joe and David I understood why the shop was so special. They are there to help all of their customers every way they can and not there to harm or take anything away from you for themselves. Their customer service is at the highest level with the convenience of phone text notifications of store hours & days open updates, loan info like ticket numbers, current due dates, interest payments with debit cards to extend loans and keeping your information current with them at all times to stay on top with all of their customers. I’ve been going to Elliott’s for over 30 years , my first time when I was nineteen years old and I wanted to sell my stereo to buy a pair a boots I couldn’t live without!! LOL. Elliot and everyone I’ve met there over the years from Ed to Dave make each and every time I visit a pleasant experience. I always know I will get the fairest price , more than once I’ve probably gotten a little more than I would have anywhere else . Ahhhh…. Elliott Salter. When I was pooling all my resources to start my biz, I came to Elliott with my gold. I love this man! And his family! And his staff! They gave me a great loan on my stuff, were hysterical and sweet all at the same time, and have the coolest stuff to gaze upon in their shop. They always worked with me if I had a challenge so I could stay on track and get things paid down and, all the whole, were gracious the whole way. Pawn shop? Really, a people shop. Yes. It is about money, that’s the point, but what I never saw coming was how cool this place is. Thanks guys. My biz is up and running in big part because of you. And thanks for making a girl laugh.

I First walked into this pawnshop when I was a young struggling musician and he had just opened up- yes that was a long time ago- And in All my years I’ve never known a kinder gentler man. Elliot Salter has a heart of a lion and the fairness of a judge. He has kept me afloat in hard times and always given me beyond enough time to pay things off- Yes it’s a business and yes it’s a pawnshop but it’s the best of both and one of my favorite places to go and just hang out Elliot Salter is a great friend and a Hollywood legend.

I love these guys, there are the nicest and kindest people you could possibly meet. I came in one time and i needed 250$ to dix my car, the item i brought in wasnt really worth 250 in a pawn and others like the world famous Zaks pawns shop shot me down and made me feel less of a person when i was there. But Elliotts pawn gave me the 250 and they never make me feel awkward for having to pawn, other pawn shops say they are the best but in all reallity elliots pawn is the fairest and most helpful pawn shop ive ever been to. They dont try and low ball you and hurt you just because your in a tough spot. They understand and will help you as much as they can. I very highly recommend elliots pawn!! Ive tried all of the other so called great pawn shops in hollywood and i promise you that elliot and his team will treat you the best and they treat you like family!!!! I have known Elliot Salter for years. His shop contains the best inventory of fine goods, amazing jewelry, musical instruments and off beat items to boot. It's a treasure trove of fine goods at a steal. He is wonderful and the people who work with him are to. They treat you like family. I urge you to stop in.

I have been going to this place for almost 40 years! Elliot Salter is not only an incredible place to shop for incredible treasures but Elliot himself is a gem!! He is always fair in his dealings and has been amazing to work with as far as loans go as well, I would and never do go anywhere else! Went in last-minute to get a price for my laptop - all the guys here are superbly friendly right off the bat - Elliot (the owner) was also kind enough to fix my bracelet after giving a great price for my laptop! Both Marc and Dave were happy to assist me right away - great traditional atmosphere!

These guys are the BEST!! The last pawn shop in Los Angeles. I would never go anywhere else. It is what a pawn shop is supposed to be. Old school gentlemen with great customer care and etiquette. Elliott and his crew are the best. I cant say enough good things about the place. Professional and honest. It reminds me of what Los Angeles used to be like. They go above and beyond what they need to do. And they do it with genuine care. I honestly don't know what I would have done without this place. You guys are the best!

Anyone that uses pawn shop a lot like me knows that one of the most important things is...just to be treated well, and dealt with in a friendly-manner. A good pawn shop won't try to make you feel bad because you need a loan. A good pawn shop will use Ebay to determine a fair value for your item and not just try to low-ball you. A good pawnshop will learn your name if you do business often. Anyway, we're new to LA within the last 6 months, and so I was looking for a good pawn shop here I could trust to do biz with long-term and I am SO glad I went to Elliot Salter first. Not only was the pawn transaction good, but the guys were really cool and were *genuinely* friendly and I really appreciated that. Now after many months of going to them, I dare call them friends? I know it's LA, but these guys made me feel like home. Anyway, I wouldn't go anywhere else but Elliot's pawnshop. 9 stars!:-)
