New ownership is ruining Echo. Have tried to pick up a layaway 2 days in a row and have been unable to. Saturday they locked up early and didn't want my money because he had somewhere else to be. Today the computer is down and they can't take my money. At first I was excited to see lore space in there, but they are removing more and more of the interesting stock and turning it into another, generic pawn shop, just like every other shop in town. Doubt I will return after this transaction. Too bad, I've bought thousands of dollars of stuff from Ron over the years!

I personally have never heard of a pawn shop that doesn't have enough money to pawn items from their customers. I was told Saturday that every thing would be back to normal for pawns but today they still can't take anything in yet! It's not really considered a pawn shop if u can't pawn is it? Just unbelievable!!!

Coming from Hermitage, TN, this place is certainly worth the drive!! I was in Hopkinsville visiting and went in with a friend. The staff was polite and did not mind answering ALL of my (way too many) questions. They are not PUSHY salespeople and did not try to show me anything other than what I was looking for. David took my name and number down and called me when he got an item in that I was looking for and even shipped it to me. KINDNESS can go a long way and it certainly did with me. I LOVE MY BRACELET! I will be shopping with them again.

I have had plans to meet these guys about trading a boat for a trailer they had listed they scheduled me a time to meet today. I wrote them since Wednesday and they said they would be interested but I may need to add cash as well, not a problem. I drove almost and hour there for them to tell me they dont do boats and they wouldn't even look at my boat or talk at all, even with me showing them the messages they said tough luck. Very unprofessional and crooked old man that shouldn't be in business.

I made offer on the Buya web site. They countered and I accepted and processed the payment. Funds came out of my bank and Echo cancelled the transaction saying they made a mistake and couldn’t ship the item for the agreed to amount. I called and emailed. The answer given was mistakes happen and a threat of a bad review isn’t going to sway their view. At this time I’m still out my money. Item is still listed on the site for the same price and shipping charges. I guess they don’t learn from mistakes, I do. I’m filing with Buya and PayPal.

Love this place. Has loads of items from tools to electronics, movies, antiques n more. Good old fashioned "mom n pop's" type place.

Always fair and try to work with you as much as possible. Very friendly as well.
