Dupaco Community Credit Union Williams Blvd, Cedar Rapids

Dupaco Cedar Rapids SW branch. Worst credit union I have ever joined. ATM is always out of money. Very rude staff. I once complained because only one person was working the drive-thru (7 cars waiting) and three tellers were idle with no customers in the lobby. When I mentioned this a man walked out of his office and raised his voice at me saying there were 4 drive-thru lanes open. I reminded him that he only had one teller working those four lanes. He continued to be hostile and I left. When I closed my accounts I left some negative feedback and was hung up on.

Making an edit to this post... the refinancing process was painful and Katie Fisher more than once refused to pick up the phone and call me back when I had questions. I repeatedly told her I was changing insurance companies during the refinance and I was assured everything would be handled at closing for the money in escrow. She dropped the ball and screwed up the closing and never funded my one year of insurance in the closing!!! Complete incompetence and to make matters worse I lost my job due to covid and had to find the $770 out of pocket when I was led to believe the insurance money was already included in the closing. I will be refinancing through a different credit union asap and will be taking my money somewhere else... Update- 4 weeks later and no response from Dupaco very disappointing. 260 ppl have seen this review so far so hopefully I’m helping someone make a more informed decision about this credit union.

I never thought I would leave after being a 40 year customer of another local credit union, but we are now proud Dupaco members. The Dupaco team adviced, supported, and believed in our business and our team! We have transferred our business and all personal accounts over, because of their great service. Thanks!

Great service and the best staff ever!!! They greet you when you walk in!! I love that it's a very inviting atmosphere not like most banks you go to!! You feel like you matter and other banks I have belonged to do not do that! Thank you Dupaco, I'm so happy I came to your bank!

This bank cares about their customers. They always take the time to work with you in regards to an situation. I appreciate all the employees at Williams Blvd Branch.

I will give more 🌟 🌟 if I could, no words can explain how much I love banking with Dupaco. I've been with small and local banks and most of them are very good to bank with, and I well never bank with big name banks. But Dupaco is a unique and very easy to manage everything and the staff are so awesome any location you go. We moved to North Carolina for 2 years and they helped us more then one time when we needed extra cash, in a matter of less then one hour. We applied on line for a loan and one of the staff called us in 10 to 15 after and he was so nice not judgmental, and he was talking to me like a friend I felt like. And I love the reword cash back that you get by using your card or checking or other. And I like how they are protective over everything where they would call you quick if they see anything odd with any transaction. And they even call to give financial support and advise, I never had another bank care that much. At Dupaco you don't have to be rich to be treated good, and that's what I love about it. The best of the best 👍👍

Accidentally over drafted about $100 they charged me $28 five times for 1 over draft, they are also holding my pay checks from me and refuse to release them to me. It's been 6 months and I still have to threaten them with lawyers (whether a lawyer would help hasn't been determined) but they release my check long enough to empty my account so I can pay my bills. I used to like dupaco, until I moved and now they don't wanna work with me on anything. I even got a letter in the mail that stated if i don't pay the personal loan off soon they're gonna close my account permanently and keep all pay checks that are deposited. If that's not straight up THEFT then there's more wrong with this country than we can fix.

Spent over an hour with one representative to make sure the credit union could accept foreign service employees without a problem and was assured they had a number of people in the same situation, and opening an account would be no problem; we appreciated the time this person spent to check out all aspects of our situation. Went back to open an account and was served by a different person - was rejected due to the same situation we had described in the first meeting with the first person, even referencing the first person and first meeting. The second person never went to check with the first person. This was a very poor customer experience, getting conflicting information from within the same branch. We later went to a competitor and had an excellent experience.

Very happy faces, great customer service! Dupaco makes the stress of having to complete complex transactions go away with their awesome customer service. Their Saturday hours make it extremely convenient to bank here.

Best bank and people ever. They worked with us for many years so that we could retire debt free. So much appteciated and grateful.
