We have been with Bob and DSJ for over 30 years now. The firm and his staff exhibit behaviors that you would want in a consultant, integrity, ethical , moral and most importantly a good human being. I love this firm, the staff is like family, they are interested in you and your family and how you are, not just a name on paper. They dedicate the appropriate amount of time, answer all your questions and help you develop strategies that work for you. If your not using DSJCPA it's your loss.

The firm totally screwed up my tax return for 2020. If I didn’t catch the obvious mistakes, I would be paying a large penalty for my 2021 returns for under withholding. I had sent an email copying 3 DSJ accountants voicing concerns about preparing my 2021 returns but no one responded to that email promoting the change in accounting firms. Without appropriate customer service, present clients become former clients.

I used to work with Howard Oconefsky, who is an excellent accountant. Several years ago DSJ bought his practice, and the quality became AWEFUL. They raised the prices a lot, and yet don't respond to emails or calls, miss deadlines, ignore complaints, and ask for the same documents multiple times because they lose the ones you send. They have 0 accountability, and yet somehow charge twice as much as my new accountant. I have never written a negative review about any business, but this firm INFURIATED me. I agree with other reviewers, stay away!

I’ve been a client for 25 years. I’d consider Bob Jahelka my most important counsel. He & his firm have provided exceptionally professional service. Throughout my career as a physician, I’ve relied on his input re personal & corporate finances. Always going above & beyond, Bob’s willingness to make himself available is a true constant. From tax preparations & projections to employment contracts, Bob’s expertise has been forever reliable. I highly recommend DSJ.

While I know Gigi Boudreaux for over 15 years, i only began a business relationship with DSJ CPA in March 2020. what first began as assistance with my firms PPP application has become full service CPA guidance and tax preparation for my firm and my personal accounting needs since September 202 when my former accountant, my dad, passed away. Having a close family member do all of my personal and business accounting for 37 years, i was concerned i would lose that personal attention. However, I am more than pleased to say, Gigi and her team have made the transition seamless and I am very comfortable that i am in as good hands as before. DSJ and especially Gigi are worthy of the highest recommendation

This firm has been nothing but responsive to my financial needs and questions. They offered me excellent wisdom when I opened my LLC and, above all, they are KIND people who understand the importance of family in the financial planning process.

Agree with other posters. They missed a critical business tax deadline, and offered to do it 2 months later!! at a rate way beyond reasonable. they apologized for messing up but would not adjust the invoice to reflect their error. I am now subject to an IRS penalty, and if my new accountant cant get it waived, I WILL be suing DSJ for negligence, in order to recover the money. also i had to call 5 times to get them to change another error. I used to love working with Howard, but once these DSJ people bought him out it became AWFUL. they are so unprofessional. wouldnt wish them on my worst enemy, and considering filing a formal complaint with the state. Also, all their 4 star reviews are recent and from posters with only 1 review, so they are trying to artificially pump their ratings. These folks are really the least professional people I have ever worked with. UPDATE: The IRS has levied a 2000$+ fine on my business. I have formally complained to the NYS Licensing Board, who are investigating DSJ for negligence. I am also in process filing a lawsuit against them. Read the other reviews, beware of this company!!

Jim Dunne and his colleagues are fantastic - my taxes are complex (income from many states and foreign jurisdictions); investment income issues also arise and can be tricky. Jim and his DSJ CPA colleagues are responsive, knowledgeable and a tremendous pleasure to deal with. That is why I have stayed with them for almost 20 years - and I could not imagine leaving the DSJ CPA family!

Ms. Gigi Boudreaux at DSJCPA has been our accountant for the past three years. She was highly recommended by our advisor at Morgan Stanley.
