Terrible experience with this Dovenmuehle. It is February 25th and I am still trying to get my tax form (mail and/or electronic) from them. Multiple calls, multiple emails and no resolution yet. Funny how 4 inquiry notifications are able to make it to me but not 2 attempts at sending my tax form. Would not recommend.

Worst experience with them. Had my mortgage “sold” to them after a week of owning the home. I am a first time homeowner and setting up the mortgage payment has been anything but user friendly. Tried to set up auto payment and took forever to process now I owe a late fee. Not that you get a say in which company finances your Loan, but Dovenmuehle would be my last choice. Little to no instructions have come from their side. I would love to fire them if I could

They charged us a mortgage payment on a rental home we just sold. I called the bank to dispute it. It got disputed, but then it automatically disputed the payment on our current home. I've talked to them so many times in the chat and on the phone, and they kept insisting that it was the bank's fault. I was just at the bank. It's not them. First, Dovenmuehle created this problem to begin with. If a house gets sold, the first thing you should be doing, is discontinue payments on that house. Second, they kept blaming the other party. Very unprofessional so far. We'll see if they can solve it before they charge me a late fee for not being able to pay my mortgage.

I would give 0/5 if I could. First off our mortgage was sold to this company with out us knowing. From the very start this company has been awful. They have messed our paper work up numeral times. I have been told that I was going to get a call back from a supervisor and never received one on multiple accounts. They constantly don’t know what is going on and have very poor documentation. I question the security of my mortgage with this company and I would never recommend someone to use this company as well. I have never had so much trouble with a business as I do this one. For a company that holds peoples mortgages and homes I should feel secure that things are correctly done and documented and with this company they are not. If your mortgage is through this company get it refinanced through another one. Also for a company to see this many complaints as there are on here has some serious issues. I’m very disappointed that this continues to happen to other people and it is quite obvious that nothing is getting done. Update: an email was sent to the email address provided below a week ago June 22,2022. Still haven’t received a response. We are still dealing with these same issues months later with out any resolutions. I would like to be contacted. Update : 7/8/2022 still haven’t received a response from your customer service team. I’m still having the same issues with out results. At this point Im extremely dissatisfied with your company. I’m ready to refinance or get a lawyer involved at this point. I do not have time to continually call and check the status of my documents due to this companies mistakes. I have been more than generous and kind during this situation but at this point I’m tired of pushed around. I want a supervisor to call me.

I want to start by saying that I have had 3 homes and never missed a payment before these people took over my loan. So back in november of 2020 I got sick and they told us about the covid hardship and that we could skip payments. So we did this for 12 months. Now when we came out of it they have given us a complete run around for over 5 months. You never talk to the same person twice they keep changing the information needed..I have actually sent the same information and documents on at least 2-3 different occasions. They make you wait at least a week for new info only to be told that some of the previous info needs to be resent and redated..all the while during this process we have been making our mortgage payment. Now last week I called for another update and to make my payment and was told that I was sent to foreclosure…Its a sad day when a person decides that they would rather sell their home then have to continue to deal with this company but that is now where I am at.

I don't lose things, so I've been driving myself crazy looking for my 1098 from this company. After reading all these reviews, I'm pretty sure I can safely say I never received a 1098. I refinanced in March 2021, and my loan was given to this place for servicing immediately. in December 2021, it was given to another mortgage company for servicing. I received the 1098 from my lender before the re-fi and one from the December company, but not from these folks. I have tried everything I can think of to get another (but more likely the first one) but I don't exist in their system. I'm so frustrated with only four days left to get my taxes done.

My credit union in Wisconsin sold my loan to this mortgage company and their service is the worst Ive experienced in 40years. They flat out lie on the phone and in writing. Drafted my account twice for my mortgage payment and blamed me, saying the first agent I had talked to never said what they said. They have diverted principle only payments I made online to some black hole of unapplied funds for absolutely no explicable reason and then denied they did it, even though I have screenshots. They take months to respond to complaints, back date their letters so it looks like they responded sooner, though don't seem to realize they can't forge an envelope postmark. They avoid addressing any concerns (I've now gotten 25letters from them on one issue in 4 months where they don't respond to my complaint whatsoever) and have no intelligible process for escalating complaints. Do not work with company.

0/5 the worst company I’ve ever interviewed for. They were unprofessional and have a complete lack of professionalism and work place courtesy. Their recruitment department has absolutely no respect for their candidate’s time. I was offered a job with them. Then after 2 weeks of making me jump through several loop holes and kept telling me my paperwork was being worked on my upper management, they told me they were no longer hiring for this position. It is completely unprofessional to offer someone a job and keep them hanging for weeks just to retract the offer for no good reason. From looking at their google and indeed reviews, it seems like they don’t treat their customers or employees right. Definitely dodged a bullet.

Are they trying to set up clients for foreclosure? This company is horrible they lost my first payment and have not located it after cashing the check. I would refinance however the rates have doubled but this company is scary! I think they want to force people into foreclosure by their miss handling of your account. I think they should be reported to the federal bank regulators because there mishandling of accounts appears to be deliberate.

UPDATE 04.11.22 They finally paid my property taxes. Just waiting for my tax forms so I can file my taxes. UPDATE 03.29.22 Wow!! This time they changed my property address on escrow/loan. My loan shows a different property and they claimed that they have paid the property taxes (with this incorrect address???) However it’s still delinquent on our county clerk website. Someone named Zanya Brooks called to inform that she paid the property taxes but for a different address. What would CFPB do? Dovenmuehle until now has failed to make timely tax and insurance payments from my escrow account on my behalf. My account/loan is in good standing and never been late with payments. I paid the insurance out of my pocket and they have not reimbursed me. The property tax account is now delinquent and the county is now adding late fees. I'm in contact with an agent and they told me it's been escalated but it's been more than a month.

    Response from the owner

Hi Elaine, At Dovenmuehle, we strive to ensure that escrowed items are properly handled and are disappointed to hear that this was not your experience. Please email us at [email protected] with your phone number, address, and loan number and we will reach out to you directly to resolve this. This company is SO frustrating to deal with! About 6 times now I have paid online, I get a confirmation, and then days later they call me to tell me my payment never went through. One of the representatives even told me it's their technology not recognizing my bank. I pay all of my bills on time but never has it been so hard to make my mortgage payment. In the past few weeks I've had to talk to three different people because the first person didn't correct their error. Because of their mistake my credit score dropped 112 points! If I could change lenders without paying more, I would in a heartbeat.

I have been paying my mortgage on time for over a year now. I pulled my credit and noticed that this company had not reported my payment to the credit bureau since 2018....almost 4 years. Once they call themselves attempting to correct the issue by updating my credit report its showing late payments for the entire year which hurt my credit score tremendously

Dovenmuehle Mortgage is a terrible company! When I did a refinance to use a different mortgage company in July 2020 they only released the lien on one of the two counties that my property sits on. It's been 20 months since then and now I'm selling my house and I missed the closing date of this house to complete the sale and my closing for my new house because Dovenmuehle Mortgage doesn't care about their clients. They are a disgrace to the mortgage world! I still can't get them to sign the lien release and send it overnight to my county! If I lose the sale on this house because of them I'm taking them to court in a lawsuit for what I'm selling this house for. Which BTW is $450k plus adding other expenses on to it as well!

I have been trying to remove mortgage insurance since May 2021. Dovenmuehle required that I pay $450 for a new appraisal. I paid the money in July and Dovenmuehle came back and said, thanks for paying for a new appraisal which provided a loan to value ratio of 64% but then they would only use my orginal loan to value which was at 80.5%. They said I would need to pay thousands of dollars to satisfy the orginal LTV. Not sure why I needed to pay them for a new appraisal if they were not going to use it. Over a couple of months I paid down the principle and called on November 3rd to get it removed. Seven days later on November 10th they sent out a letter via USPS stating I would have to pay $256 to satisfy the orginal LTV. As soon as I received the letter 21 days after my initial request I paid the principle down to below 80%. When I called the next day to ask when the PMI would be removed they said my appraisal from july expired three days prior and that I would need to pay an additional $475 for an new appraisal. I said, I requested it to be removed prior to the appraisal's expiration date of 120 days. The appraisal expiration date is not disclosed anywhere in the appraisal or any of DMI's documentation. They denied my request, so as a result they want me to pay $925 in appraisal fees to remove my mortgage insurance. Their business practices are dishonest and do not follow the Homeowner's Protection Act.

This is the worst mortgage company. They’re harrass sing if you don’t pay your mortgage on the phone. They call you up saying you owe a debt. And you’ll be charge late fee. You have till the 15th of every month to pay. Don’t be intimidated by their bullying over the phone. I have been able to afford to pay my mortgage before the 15th and not incur any late charges but what about people who haven’t. Stand your ground. I’m going to report them. They abusive and bullying

Worst company ever. Started back in January to get my PMI removed. It took them 3 months to even get an appraisal done. On top of that they kept changing the cost of the appraisal. Appraisal came in, and now they won't get rid of the PMI. There is now an additional criteria that has to be met that they never spoke of. They are just greedy and don't care about anyone else.

This is the WORST place to work . I know personally that they are not training their employees long enough or efficiently. They give you a few weeks of training than just through you on the phones . They don’t care if you say you don’t know how to help the clients the right way they just don’t want calls waiting . If this is your sub servicing company leave if you are thinking of working here DON’T .

The worst. My mortgage was transferred to Dovenmuehle at the same time we closed on our house. I made my first payment on time using their website. A couple of weeks later I received a statement that said my next payment was due soon, and that I still owed my first payment. I called in to see why they thought I had missed it. The person I talked to kept insisting I must have taken out more than one load with them, which I did not. After 30 minutes she realized they had opened 2 accounts under my name for the same property. She verified that the one I made my payment on was the correct one and the other would be closed. I then received a second statement saying the same thing, I called in and went through it again. She guaranteed me it would be taken care of within 3 days. I made my second payment, and then that same week received a collections call. I went over the whole story with that person who said it would be handled. I just received the next collections call. They can't seem to figure this out, and it has only been 2 months since I closed on my house. They aren't just incompetent, their phone representatives have attitudes, and usually imply it's a mistake on your part, or act like they did all this research while you sit on hold to tell you what you already told them. Run far, run fast. Use anyone else.

I refinanced my mortgage with Amerisave in June of 2021. Dovenmuehle was set up as my loan servicer. My previous servicer was with PNC Bank and they were wonderful. Not a single issue or complaint. Lees than 6 months with Dovenmuehle and they didn't pay my 2nd property tax installment. I called 2 weeks ago to inform them and they apologized and asked me to send them the bill and I did. They said they would get it paid . I called today to follow up and the girl had no clue and she said she was putting in a work order to get them paid. I asked why wasn't this done the last time I called. She had no answer. I can see why everyone is so unhappy with this company. I hope they sell my mortgage and PNC becomes my servicer again!

Granted 100% VA disability which means that I don't have to pay property taxes on my home. I've been trying for 2 years to have my taxes returned and my monthly mortgage payment adjusted accordingly. I was told to send a tax statement from the county treasurer so they will know how much my payment would be and how much to refund to me. I've done it twice and they still haven't fixed it. The customer service representative and the supervisor didn't even care. Placed the blame on me. I will be refinancing with another company very soon. I'm disgusted with them.

The worst mortgage company I have ever dealt with. I was transferred here so I didn’t have choice but since I have had my house 7 years I have always payed my mortgage payment and escrow combined. When I was transferred I still made my regular payments and then one day I received a call from my homeowners insurance company saying they never received a payment. I called guess what they said? They said I never added my insurance even though I was making the same exact payment amount since before I was transferred there. Well as of today my insurance policy canceled and they refuse to pay them I am looking into legal action because this must be a joke.

We are reading through the negative reviews on here and could not agree more. Out of the many financial companies we have worked with over the years, Dovenmuehle Mortgage was BY FAR the worst. The short version is that they did not pay our property insurance as they were supposed to out of our escrow account and it took many, many months of correspondence and involvement from our State's Department of Financial Institutions to resolve the issue and get reimbursed the missing money from our escrow account they should have used as well as the interest fees we were charged by the City. Reimbursement happened only after we had to front thousands of dollars and pay the property taxes ourselves to prevent Dovenmuehle's error from damaging our credit. If you have a choice between working with Dovenmuehle and another company, you should chose the other company no matter who that company is.

They are shady. I just did a refinance with another company. They sent me a letter stating that I had 10 days to respond to the letter in order to get unclaimed Property in the amount of $1400 . Instead of refunding my escrow money they are holding it hostage. If I don't answer the letter I don't get my money. I believe this is illegal but I'm not sure who to report it too. I am looking into that though..

This company's customer service is horrible, they don't know what they are doing. I have cancel my escrow account in May, they told me it will take 5 to 7 business days to get my refund back. After 3 months I still fighting with them to get my money back. The customer service people did not know what they are doing, and their supervisor did not what they are doing. Every time I called I spoken with different people and they put down different information. I asked to talk to their senior manager or CFO, they refuse to connect for me. I have been patiently wailing for my refund, and they still said it will take 5 to 7 business days. It has been 3 months. I really don't know what they are doing with my money. I WANT TO MY MONEY BACK. It's the worse loan company I have ever working with.

I wish I could give their mortgage servicing customer service ZERO stars. In July, I received a phone call telling me my bank is sending mortgage payments (which I’ve paid electronically for 21 years) to the wrong post office box. I asked what the new P.O. Box is and found it was the SAME ONE as always and the only one my bank has been sending to. I thought it was a one time error on the part of Dovenmuehle, and they said it was applied to my loan, This next payment, in August ‘21, was still scheduled and sent per usual, on time. I received another call from this company saying my bank sent it to the “wrong” P.O. Box…but this time they didn’t apply it to my loan. Instead it was returned to my bank. August, 28, I received a delinquent notice with a nearly $60 late fee. I immediately drove to my bank to verify, in person, where my payment was being posted to. I’m told it is electronically sent, and therefore wouldn’t even be mailed out to a physical location. Further more, this has been done for the entire life 8 year history of this loan, with no address changes I called Dovenmuehle, and after speaking to “Sid”, who was very nice & credited the late fee, after seeing my excellent payment record. However, after being transferred and speaking to several other employees, no one could tell me how to avoid this mishandling of my payment in the future. A very rude supervisor, who said her name is Azia, denied me a courtesy of paying via phone at no charge, even after my explanation. She denied they would have returned my payment, “because her computer screen didn’t show that” I asked for her manager and was denied that. Azia said she was transferring me to her manager “Francesca”, voicemail, but the recording said it was “Courtney”. I was promised a call back in 48 hours, but 4 days later still no call. I ended up going to branch of Kinecta, 30 minutes from my home, in order to pay my August loan payment prior to being reported for delinquent payment to the credit companies. After presenting my proof documents of my problems with having payment accepted, and letting the Kinecta bank employee hear the voicemail left me, she was able to confirm to Dovenmuehle via phone, that I was correct. Still no answer as to why it is happening and no resolution presented. It is now September 2 and I have no idea how to resolve this prior to making my September payment. The customer service is terrible in resolving problems. They all seemed to think it can’t be their system that has a problem so, it must be my problem.

I am honestly astounded that anyone has given this company anything other than a 1. Our loan was sold to this scam of a company and it has been nothing but headaches ever since. When the loan was sold we were in repayment of a Covid forbearance. Of course this was too much for them to handle with letters of foreclosure and reports to the credit bureau even though all payments were being made according to our contract. Payments were misappropriated. Payments made before the first would not show up until after the 15th, resulting in double payments because they said they had not received a payment yet and we needed to pay before the 15th to avoid penalties. Check copies from the bank show the checks were received around the first so what they did with the payments for the next 2 weeks is beyond me. After months of run around we finally had to have out previous mortgage company contact them to straighten everything out. Finally got through with that mess only to discover last month that, as others have mentioned, they failed to pay our homeowners insurance from escrow. We are done with this company and refinancing with another lender. Judging from other reviews it looks like I have months of fighting to get my escrow money back from them too. Can't wait.

In pursuing removal of PMI from our mortgage, we were sent a letter stating we had one of two options: 1-make a principal reduction payment to bring the LTV ratio ot 80% OR 2- demonstrate substantial improvements were made to the property that would demonstrate a LTV ration of 80%, in order to do this the letter stated we needed a BPO ordered through Dovenmuehle: Verbatim: "The BPO must be ordered through Dovenmuehle Mortgage, Inc and the cost of the BPO is $105.00, which will be charged to you." We completed $24,000 worth of improvements, including the addition of 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom and a living room by finishing our daylight basement. We submitted the BPO (Broker Price Comparison) order, the $105, and the list of upgrades as requested. Nicole Tucker, a real estate agent from Harry Normal Realtors in Johns Creek came out to take photos and look over our home, she also took a paper listing the upgrades. However, she completed the BPO with incorrect information, stating a 3 bd 2 1/2 bath home instead of accurately reflecting a 5 bd 3 1/2 home. After we contacted Nicole and had no response, to this day, regarding why she completed the BPO with inaccurate information. We contacted Dovenmuehle, spoke to Amanda, and were told a dispute would be opened (08/29/19). We had not heard back, so today (09/19/19) I spoke with Sharon and she advised me that the BPO was not allowed to included upgrades and had to reflect the home as we purchased it, regardless of the additions to the home. I'm sure this is news to every Real Estate Agent working. She said we should have had an appraisal, even though the letter did not give that option, and specifically stated we MUST have a BPO. She further advised a dispute could not be re-opened unless it was in writing. This information was in direct contrast with the letter we have from Dovenmuehle. After she became frustrated with her inability to explain the incorrect information we were given, and cover for the misleading business practices of Dovenmuehle, she transferred me to Jim in customer service who could not explain why Sharon said BPO's could not included upgrades, and his only advice was to send a letter to Dovenmuehle, to which I would have a response in 30-60 days--more red tape. In the mean time, they are collecting PMI on a home that should no longer have PMI, they have engaged in misleading business practices, they could not answer even the most basic questions regarding their failure to communicate accurate information, nor could they explain the difference or the reason for the difference in what we were sent in letters and what they were telling. Neither could offer any recourse for us, the consumer, other than to send a letter. Even though they blatantly lied, or Dovenmuehle lied in their letter, they each said something different, and the real estate agent they hired, Nicole Tucker of Harry Norman Realtors, filled out the BPO with incorrect information. Be very wary of this mortgage company, their ratings on Google and the BBB are this low for a reason. We will be refinancing our mortgage elsewhere.

Absolutely terrible Experience! Basically I get a literal loop runaround for a Loan Modification they promised me on paper, that I signed and notarized as instructed, that they told me they approved. But will not honor their promise and I have gotten 12 call back promises and only got one of them returned. Each time I call, they seem clueless as ever about my case, and every time, I have to explain myself, they will promise to take notes but never will. Please STAY AWAY, TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE. So here is a breakdown and timeline of my experience with this Mortgage company ( Ameris Bank and Dovenmuehle), I will try to be brief: July, 2020 - I requested to be taken out of the COVID-19 loan deferment program after only being on it for May and June 2020. And chose to have a loan modification. I was told due to Covid, processing time could take up 90 days. Okay, no problem, I will wait. I kept making my on-time payments. September 28, 2020, I called - Had to explain everything. And I was basically told they are still working on it. That they will call me back within a week. October 14, 2020 - I called, the same thing as above November, 2020 - I called 3 times this month, and towards the end of November, they told me that the Loan Modification request has been approved, they have mailed out via standard (3-7 days USPS mail) and that I will receive a package in the mail that I need to sign and notarize and send back to them within 30 days, okay. December, 2020 - still have not received the package, called couple times. January, 18, 2021 - I got the package. I signed and notarized my Loan Modification and sent back to them January 25, 2021, I called to follow up, and they confirmed that they have received my modification approval from me and that is it is the final process and that I will soon see my account re-instated and I can resume my autopay. February, 2021 - I called couple times (separate days), and February 24th, I was told that the Loan Modification is in Effect and that there systems are just backed up that I will see the updates with the new interest rate on my account. March - called 3 times (3 separate days) - Now the agents can no longer tell me what the issue is all I get is "We email the supervisor, and they will call you back" BUT THE SUPERVISOR NEVER CALLS BACK AND I NEVER WAS ALLOWED A CONTACT WITH THE SUPERVISOR. So annoying! April - I called 5 different days, couple days apart, the same thing as in March. Perhaps the frustrating part is, they never seem to keep their promise on noting my account, and worst, they seem clueless each time and as a result, I have to explain myself every time. May, 2021 - the same as April, empty promises of a call back and nothing. And occasionally, they would tell me that I did not pay such month, and I will tell them NO, I did, I have my bank records June 1, I spoke to a Eugene, " I will email the supervisor, and they will call you back tomorrow". Couple days later, no call. June 8, 2021, I spoke to a Kya, "It says here that your loan modification has been cancelled by you, the buyer", I said what, no I did Not cancel anything" and she said "Hmm you are right, there are no notes of you doing that, I will email the supervisor, and they will call you back tomorrow". Couple days later, no call. June 15, 2021, I spoke to a Dana "It says here that your loan modification has been cancelled by you, the buyer", I said what, no I did Not cancel anything" and she said "Hmm you are right, there are no notes of you doing that, I will email the supervisor, and they will call you back tomorrow". Couple days later, no call. This time, Dana offered to even reach out to leadership. But no call back I am absolutely disappointed, drained and hopeless about this Institute and definitely do not trust them.

Don't set up an escrow account with them. They didn't pay my winter taxes, so I had to since I was trying to get a loan for home improvements. I've been trying to get reimbursed since March. My homeowners insurance was due yesterday. They still haven't received the payment. This company is incompetent.

PLEASE BELIEVE EVERY 1 STAR REVIEW! This company has failed to pay my taxes on time, ran incorrect escrow analysis based off bills sent in, and couldn't give a straight answer on any question asked. Ive been complaining since 2/2022 that my taxes & mud are delinquent. They continue to drag resulting in my escrow account going negative so much that my mortgage increased 700+ dollars monthly & can't be changed until they pay the taxes. Ive tried to escalate this & have filed several complaints. They don't care Eagle mortgage sold my loan to them & its been a horrible experience every since. The customer service managers don't have managers you can speak to & the escrow department is non customer contact. 5-7 business day turn around every time you call! My new update date is now 4/26. I've serviced loans specifically escrows for a MAJOR bank whom services more than this company, and I can tell you it was rare to have these kinds of issues. Customers knew when their accounts were getting low. Not after the last tax payment is made & now you're negative. I hope this company sells everyones loan to a better company & goes out of business. We should all file a lawsuit against them because there are so many violations going on. The company is literally being ran by customer service & they are winging it horrible!!

I would love to work here! I would get to sit and not help at all and still get paid! Amazing. All jokes aside, I don’t understand how a company in the mortgage industry could have this bad customer service. It’s been over a month and a half that we have been trying to complete a simple process on our loan, somethings lacking here. Don’t know if it’s the training or employees lack of good work ethic. Do better for your customers please. We will be filing a formal complaint.

They incorrectly reported late payments to a credit agency and while purchasing a house I learned of the discrepancy. They told me it would take a month to research and fix. What??? I am trying to get a home loan. They made an error and will not deal with it immediately. I called 3 different times to get help and when passed to the manager (who certainly had the authority to handle this situation in a timely manner) I hear, "I'm sorry, we can not expedite your request" repeated numerous times with no effort to fix the problem." Thank you Dovenmuehle for ensuring my 800+ credit score was scarred and I miss out on purchasing a house in this crazy market.

Take my word for it you can actually believe the one star reviews. Let me start by saying this is the only job I’ve quit in my professional career. How is a employee supposed to do an effective job when an employee is the only one caring to doing the job? Why is an employee always playing the managers role/job with continuing to follow up with escalated matters and still expected to hit your questionable metrics? Why is your burn out so high? Why are your top performers leaving your company? Why are escalated matters that have been followed up many times always seem to get put on someone else’s desk to die and that go absolutely nowhere due to lack of support and knowledge of loan servicing. Speaking as a former employee who actually cares about assisting those people in need of help and prides myself in doing a good job… I REPEAT- no not apply to this toxic work place. There is a reason why turnover is so high. I feel sorry for those homeowners whom have no control over who services loans with private labels (Dovenmuehle). I literally had a separate follow up sheet on escalations and they had reached well over 1000 while working for this company for around a year and a half- only 25 of which were actually fixed. Also while working here I was forced to be transferred to three different departments with zero support, The VP then transferred the group back, because those who actually do the employees, Trainer and managers job make departments look good. Employees do most work, so why don’t you just give them a big raise, the power to fix the escalations and get rid of team leads and managers that clearly are failing as you can see from your reviews. I feel like the rest of the team just on their butts, scratching there head not knowing what the heck to do with anything. Laughable 3% raise, after a good yearly review while inflation is currently at 8.6. You might as well just send employees a card in the mail saying that we are taking a pay cut and you might as well resign instead of the $15 Amazon gift card. Do not apply here. Absolutely ridiculous. Also Dovenmuehle I am not a customer, A former employee so I’m not exactly sure what your customer engagement team is doing with their comments on this. I guess I’m not surprised that you still haven’t seen this and it’s been over a year.

I have 2 mortgages with them ( 2 properties) and haven't had much trouble. I really like their customer portal web page. They are very slow to answer questions submitted via their web portal but they do eventually answer. They haven't screwed up payments and have gotten more prompt at paying property taxes further before due date. I also had a $50k storm damage insurance claim which had to go through them (since they're on the property title). It took a couple weeks each time insurance cut a check. I did get a few confusing letters from them that even confused their reps, but it all worked out.

They were assigned my mortgage by CrossCountry soon after closing. I was told I could reamortize my mortgage after sending in a big payment which I did. They asked me to send in a new contract notarized which I have now done twice in the past 3 months. I was told by several of their people that I could also scan and send in the new contract which I have sent to three different email addresses I was given. I was told by several of their people that the first notarized contact I sent in was received on Dec. 23. Then they sent me another blank form to have notarized and returned which I did, because they then said they did not receive the first one. I also sent the first mortgage payment in at the new lower rate and am told they haven’t received either. Two hard copies sent and three pdfs sent. They say they haven’t received the hard copies or the mortgage check and now will not accept the scanned copies. Nobody will put anything in writing and I keep getting different information. I do not trust or recommend them if you have any choice.

This company is the worst. They never properly closed my mortgage out after it was sold off. So it’s still appearing on my credit report 2.5 years later. When trying to get them to attend to this matter, they have routinely done nothing to help. I’ve now been trying to settle this issue for two years. No one actually helps. I’m not even sure it’s a real company.

Have tried to call because I believe my escrow is incorrect. I was given a refund for overpaid taxes for over $1300 in Dec. I sent info from Auditor and they sent refund right to bank. Now they increased my mortgage payment by over $100 a month telling me I have an escrow shortage. No one answers phone it says Customer service is closed and it is 1:00 PM, 1:30PM and now again 2:00 PM and says call during normal business hours. advertise customer service open Mon-Fri 8 AM-5 PM. It appears reading reviews they like to screw up escrow accounts and not answer calls should be reported to better business bureau for incompetent, poor management. So I guess they don't care about there customers or peoples money!!!! Hope my mortgage gets sold and they go under!!!

This is one RARE case I have to write a complain in public. My original mortgage was bought off by this company. I was never late paying the loan by Auto-payments since 2013. I made extra payment in addition to my regular payment every month. I need to get a document for 4/2022 monthly statement for urgent need, called three times with No resolution! If the computer didn’t generate my monthly statement, there will be no statement, what if they get hacked? Is there any backup plan for home owners? So shock to find out simple issue was handled terribly by Dovenmuehle. If you don’t want some non-professional to manage your loan, find other mortgage company!!!

I I could give them a -1000%, you bet I would. We paid them off in November 2017 and as of February 2022, they still refuse to send the title of our house to the court house proving it's been paid. We are still waiting for them to send that paper just so we can sell our house. THEY ARE 5 YEARS LATE and just keep blowing us off. They hang up on us and our lawyers and refuse to do their job or admit they are in the wrong. Our closing was supposed to be today, we're still WAITING......🤯 HORRIBLE

I have five mortgages with this company. I pay ON TIME every month and have for years. They lost my April 2022 payment and have still not been able to locate it. I have shared the cancelled check with them 10 times and they continue to tell me that they are doing the research. This is the absolute worst experience that I have had with a mortgage company. Stay away.

Surviving DMI needs to be a documentary. They’re not training employees properly. It’s more of a “quantity over quality” thing because people keep quitting due to not being trained properly. Supervisors are encouraging and demanding employees to work off the clock. They call you on your personal cell phone during your lunch and break times, have conversations that aren’t recorded so you can’t dispute what they’re saying. Don’t even get me started on the micro aggressions to the non-white employees. Things are not going to get better until they switch out management. If you were thinking about working here, DON’T.

It seems their CS reps aren't trained. Very incompetent. I cannot get a mortgage statement online because they send ' coupons'...I never asked ir this. Can they convert back to mortgage statements, they can figure it out. Lenders have to call thm directly to get statements thus delaying closing.

If I could give zero stars I would. Dovenmuehl ignored our credit union contract and stole $12,000 out of our escrow account, one full tax-year in advance of when the taxes were required to be paid. This DMI error ended up costing us $2000 in additional federal tax payments and $3000 in lost investment income, for a total of $5000! When we tried to speak to DMI Customer Service we were told that “nobody gets to speak to the DMI escrow analysis department” and that we would just have to accept the fact that we were screwed over. What a scam! What a bunch of crooks!

Shady Autopay practices. Will definitely be going to the CFPB on this one. I have screenshots of their website at the time of this writing in case if they try to update the terms of use after this. Their customer service is very unprofessional. The supervisor came on the phone yelling at me and defending an employee I never accused of anything. I only asked for a supervisor to confirm what their Autopay policies were (which it seems like they don't even know after getting 4 different answers from 4 different employees.)

This Mortgage Servicer stole my primary property & all my equity in a foreclosure ruse back in 2015. After destroying my credit and my personal character, I've recently found they sent the VA home loan dept information that indicates I voluntarily signed over my home to them, it's called Deed in lieu of. I did no such thing. Don't use this or any lender that uses them as a servicer. You will lose your home to a mortgage scam and or fraud.

Worst company possible to work with. I have been trying to get my issue resolved for a month now. EVERYONE gives you different answers. They always say with for a call within 24-72 hours. I’ve heard that probably about 10 times now. Customer service sucks. No one knows anything. Supervisors say they will get it resolved. Yet here I am leaving a review because I still have the same problem. Runnnnnnnn far away from this company. Do not do business with them.

Bought our house and our loan was immediately transferred to this trash company. My roof is literally leaking we got insurance to come out quickly and process a claim check within hours. I had to mail the check to the Loss Draft Dept priority mail there with a prepaid envelope coming back. So pretty much hold their hand and when I talked to the loan draft dept on 11/23 no one said THAT THEY WILL HOLD MY CHECK FOR 5-7 days ONCE THEY RECEIVE IT. No expediting nothing. They don’t care if my roof is literally leaking and I need that check. When I am able I will refinance away from this mortgage company. 5-7 days for a signature. Wish I could leave 0 stars.

It was necessary to file formal complaints with the Attorney General’s Office and consumer Affairs and the Better Business Bureau. I filed the same complaints against the mortgage company Mortgage One. Both appear to be involved in misleading practices at the least; as well as unable to fulfill any of their fiduciary responsibilities. Something very wrong with both companies.

Complete garbage! Dovenmuehle is such a terrible and deceiving lender. They screwed up my mortgage payment where it falsely showed delinquency during my forbearance period. They refused to correct their mistake countless time, and kept sending me to their "ghost" department where noone worked at. They admitted that even THEM (the loss mitigation department) CANNOT get in touch with their internal credit department because their department DOES NOT have any direct phone number!!! (SCAM ALERT) After they transferred my mortgage to a new lender, they continued to flag and reported me to the credit bureau even though they are no longer my lender. I am in the process of suing this garbage mortgage company.

ZERO stars would be more appropriate. Not that you have any choice when mortgage companies sell your loan. This company is complete garbage. After they sold my loan they continued to draft payments even though according to them your payment information is wiped once the loan is released and to top it off they still sent late payment letters after the loan was being serviced by another company and they did in fact still draft money for the payment. This is the biggest bunch of incompetence I have ever seen. The customer rating on the BBB is equally as horrendous as it is on Google but the BBB rates them as A+ completely disregarding all of the actual customer interactions. The fact that they are still allowed to do business is a crime.

This is the worst mortgage company in the United States. Unprofessional, rude and have no idea what they are doing. In July I notice they send money to pay my association fee that was already paid. I call them to recall the money and they didn't. When I receive my December bill my mortgage payment increased by $315. I contact them again they said oh we will recall it and it will take 15 days. I actually had to go to my association and beg them to return the money. The money was return however my mortgage payment didn't change. I contacted Dmi again only to be told by a supervisor that they are still waiting on money that I am looking at sitting in my escrow. Upon correcting her , she had an attitude and said it came in yesterday and it was an holiday . It will be corrected in 11 days . Oh this I forget the customer service rep came on the phone and ask me what is your name I said Arlene Reddy and she said yes I am ready and disconnect the call. Now my question to DMI why are your customers been punish for your mistakes. Where are the people that run this company. You need to train your staff, reading the same script is annoying. You all should be ashamed of yourself.

Dovenmuehle/ Homeside continues to lie to my father a 82 yr old mil veteran. After the sale and closing of has home in NC he is still waiting for his refunded escrow check. After assurances from thus company that his money was sent he still has not revieved monies owed him. At least four times he was lied to by so called supervisors claiming his check was sent. First the check was sent and apparently lost. Waited 30 days and told another was sent. Nope. Called again and was told they would overnight it. Nothing. Called back again and was informed by a supervisor they don't over night checks and they are only sent out on Fridays. My father again was told his money would be sent on Friday. This was the forth time this company said his money was sent. As of this posting still no check! This company is trash from the top down. This company lacks any resemblance of integrity and based on several terrible reviews they have a history of terrible customer service. Continuing to lie to a 82 yr old disabled Veteren is classless and pathetic. Avoid at all cost. Complaint also submitted to the BBB.

God forbid you have some medical reasons and doctor notes, they don’t care. The SUPS are a compete joke and never do there job. If your new good luck, you will have to figure things out on your own. The training you receive in the beginning is nothing what you will be doing. Wish I would have never worked for them, the processes they have in line for homeowners is ridiculous. Dovenmuehle and Guaranteed Rate are an absolute joke of a company. I was notified of unclaimed property by my state and contacted this company immediately. I was then given the run around for for almost six months by them being promised the amount owed was going to be sent to me. They eventually just sent it to the state of California which means i have to wait even longer to claim what is mine. If i had failed to pay them for this long i would have ended up owing an extra 600 dollars or more in late fees and likely would have been foreclosed on. I spoke to dozens of people over the time in question and it was always the same. Relate my entire story each time be told what i had to do even though i had already jumped through all of their hoops. The representatives have no idea to handle situations out side of telling you you owe them money. The supervisors are full of empty promises. If there was a way i could take them to court for lost time and late fees i would do it.

Absolute nightmare. My homeowners insurance renewal went unpaid by them, despite having all needed information for the policy and insurance policy company. This caused the insurance company to cancel the policy. Absolutely zero effort was given by Dovenmuehle to resolve this without me having to make several phone calls and request a new policy from the insurer. This resulted in a new policy quote coming in at almost $1,000 higher than the policy I would have had if Dovenmuehle had actually done their job. I will be looking to escrow my own account and move on from them. Half of the time I cannot even see accurate account information on their website. This is an absolute joke of a company.

My mortgage was transferred to this firm, and what a deplorable experience since. Reaching customer service is arduous at best, getting them to fix their errors even more challenging. Multiple back and forth and promises not kept without more of my time. And the constant short notice changes because of their internal transfers makes for a burdensome experience none of us deserve. Don't know how they stay in business but if I had a choice I would never deal with them.

You do not have competent people working at Dovenmuehle. I have endorsed cancelled checks for the first 4 mo. of this year but keep getting dunning letters saying I’m past due. All form letters. No one had the courtesy to phone. Also, you sent a notice of late payment to the credit bureaus. My score dropped from 849 to 714. I have never made a late payment to anyone in my 70+ years. Your business plan needs revision. I’m going to pay off my mortgage so I don’t have to deal with what has become a substandard company. Should a class action suit follow?

Can't give 0 stars or I would. 361 reviews with a 1.4 rating, says pretty much all you need to know. They withdrew money from my account erroneously in Oct, have been given the run around ever since. 10 calls since Dec., didn't think I'd need to track my calls to get my money but several calls in Oct & Nov. and nothing but the runaround. Called today, total call 32 min, 17 min was on hold, end result, put into voice mail, of course did not hear the name of who's extension it was. No expectation to get a call. Routinely on calls over an hr, hold over 30 min. Each time I call what ever I was told on the prior call was not done. Transferred to several different people each call, calls dropped, put into voice mail, others pick up like a new call. When I am told I will receive a call, never have. It has been 4 mos since they took MY money from MY account and still nothing. I have requested due to THEIR error that they over night the funds to me, can't get a straight answer. Not sure why the can't direct deposit the money into the same account they withdrew the money from but that's beyond me. With all these negative reviews you would think their executive team would actually take action. Apparently they don't seem to care. Will be filing complaint with BBB. Running out of options but they aren't keeping my money.
