Dort Financial Credit Union N, Fenton

Always friendly. Of course they get busy and I occasionally have to wait, but never to the point where I didn’t get good service. Not a huge fan of the virtual tellers, but it’s the trend so we just have to adapt. Overall I keep my business here because the staff is helpful and always tries to be accommodating.

I gave them 1 star because customer support is very important to me and I am sure almost everyone else also, especially when it comes to banking. Dort Federal just leaves you on hold until you give up. This just doesn't happen once, it is anytime you call.

Customer service is so bad at this bank. Amanda the buisness handler is all over the place and not good with customers truly doesn't understand and doesn't care about making banking easy for people. There will be no relationship building with this bank. Simple put your money in and pray it doesn't get hacked. Because that experience is awful with this bank. They make it vary inconvenient to get your money back. The tellers are people on a screen at there homes and they randomly walk off and leave you in the teller line for like 45 minutes with your card in the machine and dot dots that will drive you nuts. This place is a joke.

Customer service and loan handlers are a joke. Wanted to push a payment off for the beginning of Jujlne (Covid 19). Now, beginning of July, after multiple phone calls, I still owe the payment, and July's payment, and late fees now. Only received a letter at the end of June saying it was passed due. . . Past loan was with Financial Plus Credit Union, took a less than 5 minute phone call to deal with anything. Cool

This bank has done a good job of not messing up my account which I appreciate. But their phone support is TERRIBLE! They are a local credit union, not a national bank so I don't understand why every time I call I'm on hold for 15 mins or longer. The Fenton location has great tellers, but who ever answers the phone is always in a bad mood. I guess if you can get past these two annoying things then this bank will work well for you.

Elizabeth the branch manager was excellent. After the big bank across the street couldn't be bothered to open up an account for my son, they were happy to help! I was so impressed I might even switch over myself! Thanks Dort!

I arrived at the bank at 4:37 to inquire about a notary (they are open to 6). I was greeted politely. The first thing I mentioned was that I was not a member, and that I just left Chase a Fenton where they don’t staff Notaries. The banker at Dort said it was fine and proceeded to review documents. Then she decided to go to manager for a question since it had my business name on the lease instead of mine. When she returned it was now to late to go to a different chase and she stated She 1. Could not notarize a non-member (first thing I assumed which she said was fine), 2. I wouldn’t be able to open a bank account because it was a credit check (not a problem I really needed the notary and had a few hundred to deposit), 3. That there was no way to prove I owned the business. My response to this portion was that not only did I have the articles of incorporation, the operating agreement and a matching drivers license to the business address and a NPI search lists me as the owner…I was still denied the chance to open an account. The staff then proceeded to suggest I go across the street to the Chase Fenton location that I introduced myself saying “I can’t believe they don’t have notaries across the street at Chase, I just left there.” In summation it was a completely solvable situation met with a complete lack of desire to get a new member or do any bit of legwork to achieve the goals I needed.

Great service today! And it was a holiday weekend!

The most rude, unprofessional front desk staff I have ever encountered. The tellers are friendly but the two girls at the front desk make you feel like you’re seriously inconveniencing them if you need anything. They don’t acknowledge your presence on the way in and on the way out today I said “thank you, have a great day!” and they both looked up at me like I had three heads and looked right back at the desk without saying anything. The app has more personality.

Well for the forth time since using dort federal credit union, I have had my bank account drained again!!! I'm definitely going to bank somewhere else. I never shop online with my card or give card info out. So the security measures they have in place are not good at all.
