The commissary at Dobbins is closed drove over an hour to get here. The websites says it's open. Clearly they need to update their page.

DISRESPECTFUL of Cobb Residents. They play a EXCESSIVELY LOUD horn twice a day despite complaints that began over 10 years ago. The large, noisy low flying planes are a nuisance, but is understandable. A reasonable person would reduce the volume so that it is heard primarily on the base. Instead, they play it so loud it can be heard miles away. Absolutely, unnecessary and despicable. American taxpayers deserve to enjoy the homes they pay for in peace.

We are retired military and stay at the Dobbins Inn every time we return to Atlanta. The base is a safe place to stay at a great price. The rooms are clean and designed for an extended stay. Fresh linen is supplied daily. There are some great places to eat nearby. Would advise to call well in advance for availability, due to the priority given to reservists during training weeks. Overall this is high value stay with respect to price and quality.

You need a VA ID card to get a pass, in order to get a VA I.D you need a DD214. I had a DD214 on me but was refused a pass. Very smart guy at the visitor center insisted I get the VA ID. Makes sense to anyone? Or is it just me.

Great airborne delivery service. They can put over 500 boots on the ground overnight!

Stayed at the RV park. Base is NOT trusted traveler friendly 🤬 which seems ridiculous for a reserve base. My parents were not allowed to use their reservation even though my dad has his Vet card and was allowed to make and pay for the spot. He lost his money. The RV park sites were very steep and I could not use the dump station with my 33’ rig because the exit was too steep and on a curve. No unexpected noise as it is an air base. Bottom line: Would not stay here again.

I appreciate all those who serve in the arm forces and keep us safe, I really do. I would prefer if they would keep the flyovers to day time hours and or weekends.. Hearing Air Force plane flying over your house at 9pm is bit much.. Hopefully they will consider that in the near future.

The base is part of America's freedom. The noise level is low compared to real Active Duty air bases. If you don't like MOVE. I salute the men and woman who serve our great nation. From one vet to our folks serving STAY STRONG, and know we support you.
