Diamond Jewelry & Loan, East E Main St, Santa Maria

I have not been to a pawn shop in almost 10 years!! I chose to come Diamond Jewelry & Loan, Jewelry repair, PAWN SHOP. Located in Santa Maria on East Main Street and Miller street across from Wells Fargo. Definitely would not recommend in any emergency or hardship. I brought my brand new tablet in ($899.00) a laptop, electric sander, portible air tank, and even A higher end OBD2 SCANNER that does European and domestic diagnostics, and abs controls. The employee did not know value, and did not know what any of most the tools and items were, except the laptop...... I let them know my dad is being released from ICU and ,I would do anything to be able to drive up to northern California, to be with him as he passes at home. Not to mention he's alone... This has been the first pawn shop that was uneducated and had absolutely no empathy for the reason of attempting to say goodbye to my father, and support everything and anything he needs in these next few days.... They offered $15 total and said " she had no interest in the other items" The shop was empty. We got rushed out (DUE to wanting to close early). Completely devastated and would recommend craigslist or other shops! Well worth it to try another place! Very disappointed.

Just had the most bizarre interaction with the old guy behind the counter. I asked to see a rifle. He didn't know anything about it so I asked if I could see it. He demanded my license. I put my firearms license on the counter and he got really snippy. I put my drivers license on the counter and he put the rifle on the counter but said "don't touch it. People who know will know." To which I replied but you didn't know what barrel length it was.... at that point he said I didn't have enough money to buy it.... ???? Really? Not even close bud. I am doing very well for myself thanks. So at that point I just left. Even though I was pretty sure I wanted the rifle.. not from him. Never again, go to Get R Gun. Better prices and friendly knowledgeable service.

Called to see how much their silver was, they told me to call back in a little bit so I waited a few hours. Then a man answered the phone and told me very bluntly that they had no silver. I asked him if he was sure he had no silver and he said he was. Then I said that I was told to call back and after asking a second time he told me that they did in fact have some silver ingots. When I asked how much the price was he told me that he wasn't going to discuss pricing on the phone. I then told him that I wouldn't be coming in the store unless I had an idea of how much they were charging. He responded with "I hope you will be a customer" to which I said "I will not be one of your customers if you can't tell me how much something costs" then he responded with "I hope you'll be a customer." Then I called back, said that if they wouldn't give me a price quote (so I know how much money i need to bring, I planned on buying around $1000ish worth of silver and wanted to know their price compared to the current value of silver) then I was going to leave a bad review. They told me it was their store policy to not give price quotes over the phone because it is not a firm price and it's negotiable. I said that was fine, I would like to know the asking price. They still said no. So here's your bad review I promised you, try and remember that this would've been avoided if you had just told me the asking price.

Horrible there thieves. I came in with a 399 milwaukee drill set a 269 milwaukee drill set a circular saw a grinder and a recip saw those three items add up to 350. A thousand dollars worth of power tools and they offer me 180 dollars. They are ripping people off. Horrible service worst ever. They should be investigated for fraud.

Tried to sell me a Chinese illegal COUNTERFEIT guitar as a Gibson for $300 +tax when you can get them brand new online for $200-$250!! Mind you this is not a copy as they claimed after realizing I knew what was up, this had a Gibson logo which is against the law!!! The original girl I had been dealing with for real snippy, older lady came from counter, same attitude, owner comes over, kicks me out, tells me never to come back! I feel sorry for trusting people who think these people are legit. The cops should pull a sting!

Just purchased a firearm and ammunition. The customer service was great! Bobbi, Laura and Michael were awesome. As a team, they answered all my questions and concerns. Very knowledgeable. Definitely had all the right answers. Will definitely be back!

Always a great experience! They helped me choose a beautiful ring. The jeweler (owner, I believe) has always taken special delicate care of my jewelry! Also, if you need your ring sized he does it fast and with great care! Extremely recommended!

Two women behind the counter working when I went. The younger teller was curtious and greeted me well but that was about the only positive thing about the place. Very dirty, things are very unorganized but on top of that both women didn't even know the brand name Hilti, very reknown company for tools in the construction realm, and didn't even know what a bandsaw is...so these are the people that are supposed to appraise and value my items? They looked up on eBay how much people were asking instead of going directly to Hiltis website to look up the item, I have a brand new never used hilti bandsaw with a bag, two 5.3 batteries, charger, carry bag, two replacement blades and the longest 20 year manufacturer warranty in case anything goes wrong with it and they offered me 45$ for everything.... The bag and charger and blades are 75$ themselves!! Wasted time, money and gas going here and won't make that same mistake again....

I saw the Gibson SG guitar that someone else (Gary) reviewed about listed on craigslist. I was curious why that guitar was listed at $300 and the head had the official Gibson logo on it. Seemed too cheap, so I looked into it further. Saw the previous bad review (by Gary) about Diamond Jewelry and Loan and that definitely put up the red flag. So not only are they NOT saying that it's a knock-off (which it is) on Craigslist, but they're also charging way too much for it. I want to thank the previous poster for their review, as I almost made the mistake of actually purchasing this imitation!

Thieves do not go to this pawn shop. I pawned a gold chain and when I got it out of pawn it was a different chain . They stole my chain they are thieves. The chain I got back has had a repair and is low quality. They need to loose there license. They are criminals.
