Derek Eastman - State Farm Insurance Agent Capitol Dr, Sugar Grove

I’ve had State Farm for about 2 years, Auto, Home and Life and never had problems with StateFarm when filling a claim but within this month they cancelled my personal vehicle (which it was understandable due to a temporary suspended DL.) This week I called Jim E. Davis to ask for some paperwork and that is when he notified me that my other 2 vehicles were cancelled since the 19th. I had absolutely no knowledge that I had been driving without insurance for almost 10 days. I asked Jim about this matter and he said I had 30 days to get another insurance. However, when I contacted a broker I was then informed that I was in underwriting (which means if I get in an accident they may cover it or may not and most likely will be a longer process.) With that being said, my complain is directed towards Jim and the agent Derek for not properly training the employees correctly. If there would have been a bad accident during those days it could have been terrible for my family and I. Insurance agents should always follow up with their customers when things like this happen. Jim, thank you again for not returning my call 3 weeks ago when I left a message with the receptionist maybe if you would of returned my call and notify me about this change I would of stayed with StateFarm Sugar Grove, great professionalism.

Jim was amazing. He answered every question I had - was patient and helped me reduce both my car and home insurance while giving me more coverage! I would highly recommend using State Farm in Sugar Grove. Couldn’t be happier with the service!!

I have insured my cars and homes with State Farm for many years in Washington State. Yesterday I needed insurance for a new home in Illinois ASAP. I called the Derek Eastman Agency because it was close to my property. Agent Lewis Gaddis took my call and after a few minutes I knew I was in good hands. Within two hours Lewis provided a quote and recommended specific coverages important in Illinois that I was not aware of. After a brief discussion I accepted the quote, Lewis emailed me Proof of Insurance - problem solved. I have always had an excellent experience with State Farm and the Eastman Agency lived up to and exceeded my expectations for service, knowledge trust and customer care. State Farm, specifically Derek Eastman’s office, is the most educated and responsive insurance office I have ever dealt with. They are so friendly and truly concerned about your welfare. You wont be oversold or under-educated about your own needs and in language you can understand. I finally got that Umbrella policy I have heard about for years but thought I couldn’t afford. When you call you may get Christine first, she is well trained, helpful, cheerful and your first asset. Lewis can educate you and steer into your needs and help you find the right coverages. Jim can do the same and is very easy going. Jay is newer to me but has helped me make some changes in my changing life. He has called just to check on me, no adgenda, just reminding me that they are there for me. And no review would be complete without mentioning Derek himself. Here is one man who truly cares for his clients, his staff and his community. You won’t go wrong by giving them a try, you’ll be so glad you did.

Never did I think getting car insurance would make my day but after the low price Lewis hooked me up with I am thrilled. He’s saving me 120 dollars a month! On top of that his personality is awesome. There wasn’t a single moment of weird awkwardness where all you could hear was the keyboard clicking, it was like talking to a friend. My wife had State Farm with Derek Eastman before we were married and I'm glad we stayed with them. We have appreciated the pleasant atmosphere at the office as well as the responsiveness and attentiveness over the years - there has never been a delay in response to questions or concerns via calls or emails. This past year my wife forgot to remove a car that we sold from our policy for a few months and the people from the office accommodated her and stayed on top of the finalization of the policy until it was resolved.

About 5 years ago Lewis asked me if I would like a free quote for car insurance. I said ok to humor him and maybe save a few bucks. I WAS SHOCKED to find out that State Farm could give me BETTER coverage while saving me $1,560 a year! That’s $130 a month! Fast forward to today, I trust Lewis and his team to handle my car insurance, fiancé’s car insurance, renters insurance, life insurance, fiancé’s life insurance and insurance for an engagement ring. I’m always happy with the service, the prices, and the coverage. I’ve had 1 claim in the last 5 years when I hit a deer. I followed the steps and everything got taken care of quickly. Lewis even called to check up on me. Safe to safe I’ve found my insurance people for life.
