We used DT for a home loan and they were great to work with. From in-person to over the phone customer service, they are professional and go out of their way to assist. We refinanced with a different carrier, but I wouldn't hesitate to use them again in the future.

As a California based private lender I can attest that Del Toro is by far the best servicing partner. I have used a number of other providers in the state and given Del Toro's focus on client support (both lender and borrower) and the availability to get a live person on the phone and be proactive with a variety of issues I am happy to give this 5 star review. I have been originating hard money loans for over 40 years. During that time, we have used perhaps six different organizations to service our loans. Del Toro Loan Servicing is by far the "cream of the crop". They provide service beginning with a welcome letter to your borrower, and at maturity they provide a very detailed record of all charges and payments. Professional, efficient, polite and they know the lending laws in California in detail. You couldn't ask for a better servicing company to handle all hard money loans.

I've been a client of Del Toro since 2009, through some of the worst real estate and economic times. They've always had a team collaboration approach to assist in problem solving with an asset, borrower or business process. Whether managing through the bottom of the market or a good market, which has it's own set of challenges, they are a partner in every sense of the word.

Unfortunately I have a very very bad experience with loan processor named Bob Cash. He is very rude and unprofessional. Treat me like someone who cannot afford the loan. On top of that they will charge you $15.00 for every monthly automatic payment. I have not seen this with other loan providers.

I have had Del Toro servicing over 60 loans and am more than satisfied with the professionalism of the staff. My point person Tonya is extremely responsive not only to me, but to my investor partners if and when we need help. When I need to get anything handled, their entire staff gets its done in a very acceptable timely fashion. Their controller Enrique as well as Rebecca, Rachelle and Diana are also extremely helpful. The cost is very reasonable for what they do, and I consider this company to be an asset for my business.

I have used many servicers over the years and Del Toro has won the top spot for me. They have an army of people with a dedicated person for each department which are accessible by phone. Each person I have dealt with has a customer service attitude and you get the feeling your business is valued rather than just being another account. I have had the pleasure of working with Del Toro Loan Servicing from the beginning when it was just Drew and a few employees and though they have grown significantly over the past 2 decades, I still receive the same professional, personalized service. Their staff is unbelievably knowledgeable and is up to date on all of the current codes and laws to keep Lenders out of "messy" situations. I have been a Broker for 30 years and in the beginning I did my own documents and disclosures; however, times have changed and I would not even consider doing that now. I believe you get what you pay for and the relatively small amount I pay for servicing is well worth the peace of mind. I cannot recommend them highly enough because as we all know, its never a problem until its a problem. That is why I want them in my corner!!

This is an honest review. It is not paid. It is based on real experience with the company. I advice you to take your business elsewhere. Each department is basically one person. This contributes to delays. Also, there is high a level of miscommunication. Overral, there is a lack of organization. If I were you, I would look for a better company.
