    Financing my car with them, never was aware of the outrageous charges they make for leaving a lapsed of insurance. 2 months is worth $1,985!!! That's a $1,000 each month, way more than my car payment, after talking to representative and she said i should be cleared as longest i provide proof of insurance... here comes a bill for almost $2,000 . This is crazy, i should've stayed with other bank that was financing my previous car, biggest mistake honestly i regret it now. Do the research before doing any kind of switch, the reviews exist for a reason.

    Terrible customer service. Not only rude but down right incompetent. I called up last week to have a new card mailed to me and talked to a girl named Lily(after waiting probably 45 mins on hold). It never came in the mail and DATCU deactivated my debit card anyway. When I called them again to have this resolved, they had the nerve to tell me that Im wrong and that I never called to ask for my card to be mailed to me. So I have been completely cut off from my own money because this bank is too incompetent to put a card in an envelope and mail it to the correct address. Unbelievable.

    We needed a car loan, because we had such a negative experience due to one of your loan officers at the Flower Mound location, I shopped around instead of going through DATCU just to avoid such negativity. Well, no one gave us a better rate than DATCU so we went back for another car loan but at a different location. We went to The Colony location. We were greeted by Kelly V. and given thee best customer service. She went through and explained the paperwork and answered any questions we had. She was patient, funny, and I will definitely follow her to any branch she's at. Thanks you Kelly. You are truly a 5☆ individual.

    Seriously, credit unions are supposed to be more trustworthy and all I've gotten is the run-around I have seen from big banks. If someone has an adequate credit score, how are you going to deny them on a 60 month loan of just $8,000 with a $37k salary? Absolute garbage.

    Overall, the employees there are polite and friendly. However, whenever you have a issue that cant be resolved through one of their automated systems it will take forever to reach someone by phone. They will have you on hold for awhile. Every call is routed to their main branch in Denton, its not possible to call a different branch directly. 20-30 minute wait time is the norm. Its been this way for along time, way before the pandemic hit and businesses got short staffed. Its one of the reasons I stopped banking here. Too many other banks out there where thats not a issue.

    I came by to make my first car payment and was greeted by Anabel Torres...I must say she has world class customer service skills and is so personable she took the time to walk me through the mobile app and help me sign up you can't teach the level of customer service that she provides

    I see negative reviews and I must admit I have never had to get a loan from them so I am unaware of their characteristics there, but every other experience I have ever had with them has been painless and smooth. When I ran into issues with my gym over charging me, I called DATCU and they immediately filed a dispute, stopped the charge, and transferred me the money from savings to checking (despite being at the REG D limit, they bypassed the charge) to pay it just in case. Love DATCU and love this bank.

    Fraud department denied my reimbursement and sided with the scammers. Withdrew all my money and closed my multiple accounts with them. Will NEVER use them again.

    I see a lot of negative reviews on here but I've been banking with them for over 10 years and love them. Any time there's ever been a problem I've walked away happy with the outcome. Nice people nice service
