I wish I could give zero stars. I set my direct deposit up through my employer to be deposited to my CU account. Payday comes and my paycheck doesn't go through. My paystub says it was processed and sent over. I talked to multiple different agents who couldn't help me at all. Then eventually told me electronic transfers can take up to 3-5 days. Then immediately disconnect me. So here I am on payday with no money in my account and no answers as to why. STAY AWAY.

I give this credit Union a fair score of 2 stars. I belonged to this credit union since early 2015. I used them because their loans were the best with the lowest interest rates in the area and had a local branch within a 10 minute drive of my house. Here’s where things went downhill. When loans were paid off, it took 2 to 3 months to receive paperwork and vehicle titles which I was not a huge fan of, always received the response of “it’s in the mail!” In order to maintain an account with them, I had to leave a minimum balance in the account to avoid fees, which was always met, however they ended up charging me the unnecessary fees, stating that I didn’t keep the required minimum amount in the account. This happened on 3 occasions. Customer service phone support quickly rectified the situations and returned the fees that were taken out stating there was a “glitch.” Finally when I went to apply for another loan, I found my local branch permanently closed, which required me to drive 40 minutes to the Ewing branch which was a huge inconvenience. On top of that, certain loans I was looking for, the interest rates were 2 to 3 times higher than other credit unions within the area. I closed my account and moved on with another credit union with way better loan rates and membership perks.

On April 5, 2022, I went to the Willingboro branch to do cash deposit with the ATM. The machine took my money and encountered a problem depositing it. It returned only part of the money and gave an error receipt to contact my financial institution. I called customer service and was asked to go to the branch to fill out a form. It was a Tuesday and the brach was next going to open on a Thursday, so I went on Thursday to fill out the form and attached the receipt. After not hearing from them, I called multiple times and sent emails until I was told they couldn't honor the refund because no money was found in the machine. I asked at what point did they check the machine? How is it my fault no money was found in the machine? I have a receipt to show there was a problem returning my cash and that is what I know. How do I even believe you, when you have not proven the machine was checked? I asked a simple question. If the deposit was successful, would I have gotten that error receipt? What is the use of having cameras near the ATM machine? This is not good customer service and not a good practice. I have been with the institution for 6 years now. What is loyalty to you CUNJ? This is not fair to the customer. Even with a proof that the transaction wasn't successful, you tell the customer there is nothing you can do? This is so wrong. $265 may not be huge money to you, but it is for me, because I worked hard for that money. That was how much the machine did not return. I am utterly disappointed and I would not rest till I get that money. Update I went to the Ewing Branch and spoke to a customer service officer. She forwarded my receipt and proof again and called me next day to tell me, they will refund my money. After a week, my money was finally refunded. It's been a long road, but I'm glad I got my money back.

Bobee was so great in explaining everything in a way it was easy for me to follow and understand. She did not get annoyed with my many questions and went beyond to help explain other issues. I will definitely recommend coming here for financial advice and needs

Customer Service is horrible, takes several phone calls and transfers to automated systems and voice-mail and still nothing resolved and no return call. Systems appear outdated and take longer than most other institutions to update payments made and transactions. 06-09-22 I have now decided to close all of my accounts due to the continued errors, confusion, unprofessionalism, miscommunication and bad service with this bank. Another issue with my Credit Card Account caused by Bank Staff and it was handled in the most distatestful manner. I would not recommend this bank to anyone. I personally would not trust them with a Mortgate or Auto loan based on the poor service I have received and countless poor reviews.

I've been banking here for about 10 years now and I have zero complaints. They are always attentive to my needs. They provide many services the only drawback is that they're not located everywhere.

I’ve been with the Credit Union for years and have six different accounts with them. They’ve always been very supportive with me and I’ve always been happy with them. On Jan 30th I noticed that my credit card account did not show up online with the rest of my accounts. So I called member services and they told me Card Services would call me back, of course NO ONE called me back that’s the one BIG issue l have with the CU no one EVER calls me back. On February 1st l noticed that my credit card account was back online so I was happy thinking everything was good. I went to Wawa this past Saturday and the card was declined. So this morning l was FINALLY able to talk to someone in Card Services and was told that the “credit union” without notifying me reported it the card lost or stolen because I wasn’t using it, meanwhile I was paying it down EVERY MONTH so the card was still somewhat active and l NEVER reported it lost or stolen. I was told that unfortunately they can’t even reinstate it, so I have to wait for another card. I’m so upset b/c I could’ve been out of the State on vacation somewhere with this card. In all these years I have never ever been told that l have to use my card or they would cancel it. I can see suspending it, but to cancel it where you have to get a brand new card is RIDICULOUS. I thought l was being responsible and trying to pay it down/off and this is what happened. So people use your card or they will ‘CANCEL” your card WITHOUT notifying you. Very very disappointing in the Credit Union of NJ this time.👎🏾

This has become the worst bank you could possibly bank with. I'm so tired of issues with my loans, my account, the branches closing down without notice and the horrible customer service. I no longer save big amounts of money at this bank anymore. I just got a mortgage with this bank and I'm already trying to find another institution to take over my mortgage. Just do yourself a favor and find another bank!

I wish I could give 0 stars. Do NOT BANK HERE!! I repeat DO NOT BANK HERE! You will regret it. I’ve been a member for over 10 years. I don’t usually use this account but I received an offer to complete a 0% balance transfer for my CC. When I transferred my balance I was still charged interest. I called for weeks and no one could assist me. I kept being told someone would give me a call back. Almost a month later and no one has contacted me. I got frustrated and paid the balance off. Today I received my statement in the mail, they charged me interest again because I did not pay the balance before the statement date. I hate this company. Save yourself and stay away.

If I have to give them 0 stars I would, I’ve been a member for over 7 years and the customer service as well most of their associates are subpar, they are usually rude and short staffed. I don’t think I will keep giving them my business anytime soon, as CUNJ has gone downhill, if you look at their rating it’s below three stars ✨ which is bad. You out an app and it’s always a long wait for no reason as if your a new member applying for something. They have poor management and needs to be reconciled.

On the 8/8 I used an ATM and unfortunately did not receive my funds. On 8/10 I reviewed my account and noticed although I did not receive my funds the money was still debited from my account. I contacted the credit union of new jersey to rectify the issue. This is the most frustrating experience ever!!! I was transfered to so many different departments each one saying they could not help me. I spoke to literally 8 representatives and one supervisor and still was not given a solution. I spent over a hour and change trying to get ahold of someone who could help me. Finally I was able to file a dispute and was told I would receive a provision credit . I called again on 8/16 to check on the status of my claim and to see when my funds would be added back to my account. I was informed by a representative I could expect the funds to be in my account between the 18th -20th and to fax in a copy of the receipt from the ATM. Here it is 8/20 and my claim has not been processed and I still haven't received my money back I am beyond upset with my experience and will be switching banks asap. Poor customer services and slow results Here we go again 🤦🏿♀️ when you need to reach someone regarding your account they are closed. You send an email no response . You call during business hours only to be hold only a specialist can help you ! You can't contact the specialist directly a message has to be sent to them requesting a call back which can take up to three business days. This bank it's a complete joke and I'm not sure how they are still up and running

If you want to wait 21 minutes to find out that you cannot use this bank with PFFCU go to their location. You can use the ATM to make a deposit but you cannot use the drive-through banking as they will ask you to come in to the banking center then you will wait in line until they call you and then after lots of deliberation they will very gently let you know that you cannot use their banking center but you can use the atm. Save yourself some time and a long explanation.
