This company is HORRIBLE.. I made my minimum payment of $30 the day it was due. In the morning of the due date too, so it was definitely submitted on time. However, if you’re not willing to let them scam another $5 off you for processing an “immediate” payment, then it typically takes up to 5-7 business days from them to pull the money from your account. They not only hit me for a $30 late fee, but they tacked on another $30 return payment fee AND they’re telling me I’m also -$29 dollars on the account now.. so they essentially turned my $30 payment into a $90 payment. Paying off the card and closing it. Never use this company. My other 3 credit cards are nothing like this one

WORST BANK EVER!!! I got this card back in August 2020, with a $300 credit limit, I found out about all these hidden fees and realized the interest rate was WAYYYY too high, so I immediately called to cancel my card (didn’t even spend a penny on it yet), and I was told I’d be charged a fee for cancellation since my account was still new, so I decided to spend $300 and then pay it all off within that same week. About a week later, I called to cancel and they said ok. I was charged a fee without being told. Fast forward a year later, I’m sitting here with this letter that I’m being sued, and they charged me an extra $600 in fees since I didn’t pay the initial fee (which I wasn’t aware of). They did me so wrong! I hope I can prevent something like this from happening to you. EVERYBODY STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!!!!!!!

Terrible customer service. I received a bill/statement in the mail and called them asap to let them know someone opened a fraudulent account. I provide the account number on the statement and my name and full address. I spoke to Tony employee ID 56588- he was super rude and unprofessional and kept asking for my full Ssn.. I explained I'll provide anything else but do not feel comfortable with giving out my social as it's clearly been stolen already. He told me to hang up and call the police and refused to help me. I personally think this company is fraudulent and probably does this to many others. Long story short, I called back and spoke to a supervisor who helped start an investigation, I've also filed a police report and a set up fraud alerts with the credit agencies.

UPDATE The bank found that I was not at fault for the transaction. I called to cancel the credit card immediately after that. 3 months later and I just received another statement showing a new cash advance that I did not request. I am furious!!!!!! WARNING This bank sent out a cashier's check that I did not request on the 12th of December and someone took it from the mail and cashed it. I wasn't even aware that there was a check floating around in the mail until I logged in today and saw a check was cashed on the 28th of December. I called customer service and they told me that they have to complete an investigation before they can conclude it wasn't me. The representatives exact words were that they couldn't take my word that I didn't cash the check myself. I'm furious that they even sent them without my consent or knowledge. My account was compromised because of this and as of right now I am responsible for the charges. I feel robbed and violated by this bank.

Way too many system errors: good luck making a payment; if you get this card! After you finally get in touch with them about their security and payment options; they'll try to raise your credit line (I asked for the account to be froze)! Then; when you remind them; their system is very insecure; they'll sell your information! You're mailbox will overflow!

This is not Capital One Bank. They way they use their logo it seems you are signing to Capital one bank card but its fake. This is scam credit card service . They say $90 fee for whole year, than they star charging you for $30 a month. STAY AWAY FROM THEM.

this bank will drain your money right away. when trying to make payments on time make sure you keep an eye on them because they will send the payment back to your bank and flag you as delinquency to all credit buraus, I was so happy finally fixed my credit and this card ruined it all.

They are the worst I had them years ago I had issues with them because of fees they wanted to charge without telling you and then always say theres no manager and theres noone that can help you with any dispute!!! I left them now I thought they changed and once again customer service is the WORST representatives are rude and never try to explain they want to continuously keep charging you for things that dont make sense!!! $19.00 to add someone to the account but the person can't even speak with them so whats the point!!!! Its not a good credit card company so be careful in choosing a credit card company. My credit card had to be replaced due to some charges. However, i didnt receive the credit card and immediately notify them cos someone made a purchase. I informed them that no mail i receive from mailbox. But instead of investigating, they are now telling me that i have to pay for the amount that was scam because i was the one who made the purchase and activated the card even though the number got terminated a month before what they say activated the card. The rudeness i get from the customer service rep i got of hanging me up. The countless calls i made in following this up. I end up still being charge for it despite of sending evidences from them. No considerations.. trust a company that wouldnt falsely accuse their customers..

WORST credit card I have experienced. They restrict purchases at well known stores claiming it is a security issue. Meanwhile I have purchased items at the same stores prior. Makes no sense. So good luck when you get to the register after shopping. May work or may not. They also will say that it is because of the area you were at or out of city. This is absolutely ridiculous and a lie. They will then restrict your card for being used. Very very poor business practices. I think the real security risk is having to give all your personal info to customer service representatives out of the country. How about that?

I apply they said I was approved they send my card to a different address, and I call, and they give me a hard time to cancel that card that I dint receive they say they send another one but still have not receive but they send me an email saying to activate your card I think is a scam and they are sending the card to different people but not my house I don't recommend getting it

Today in the mail I received what looked like a check. $150 I thought maybe it was a reward or something. I read on and basically it was a loan via credit one which was my credit card. For a $12 fee, I would get that cash and this money would be charged to my credit card. I was a bit furious to be honest. This seems to me like a quick pop to entice people to quickly cash the check. I also have 709 credit score yet my limit was only $300. Finally, when I called the cancel my card, they kept me on hold over a half hour and tried to keep my business by offering no interest on any of my payments ($23 and change?!). This is shady business practices and prey on people who have bad credit. Will be contacting BBB

Do NOT get this credit card. I got this credit card to improve my credit. Did the opposite. Fraudulent company and I think they prey on people trying to get back on their feet. Still paying it off because the interest fees are out of control and they charge you after you close the account, beware! I’m hoping I’ll get to a $0 balance again. I did, closed the account and suddenly had interest fees and late fees.

I have had this card for over 8 months now always paid this card in full, never missed a payment but yet they want to say they are not going to increase my limit because of going over the limit 1 time by $2.00??? (And please know I rush to pay it back within 24hrs when it posted to the account) I am currently on hold to speak to a account manager to explain this further to me. I just don’t understand how are you building my credit without offering a increase? I had a balance of $525 got it down to $234 next thing I see on my balance that i owed $295 they took $60 in interest I'm closing my account even if I have to mail it in that I'm closing my account I called to dispute this and was told the more you borrow the more they take! the nerve this company is nothing but crooks and loan sharks stay away you'll regret it like I did just what I paid off in interest in the past two years I should have a zero balance this company is ripping customers off and getting away with this company should be investigated and be put out of business worst credit card company ever! My husband & I each had card's with them for many years. We had no problems until Covid-19 hit. Unfortunately I have been out of work since March. My husband is working but his hours have been greatly reduced. We are doing the best we can. Every credit card company. Mortgage company. Cable. Phone have been outstanding in their response to this pandemic. Not Credit One!!!!! We accidently used an old acct to make a payment. We didn't realize it and called multiple times to tell them of our error and because payment was returned a few times. They closed all accounts without even telling us. They asked for a Bank Validation letter which we provided but account rep said it's not gonna matter accounts are still being closed. They have been terrible thru this pandemic. No help or support at all. I would NEVER do business with them again. Beware. And the funny thing well not funny is they would've been paid in full if they would've worked with us for a couple of month's. It's very upsetting when you're in the middle of Covid-19 and being financially burdened and you have to deal with a company like this. Shame on them

Avoid this bank at all costs!!!!! 1. It has taken almost a month to a month and a half to finally receive a credit card. 2. 10/03/2020 I received a phone call that my payment was late. 3. I had just got the card and was perplexed on how could a payment be late. 4. Never received a bill or any correspondence from bank.Except for the cc. 5. 10/06/2020 I was on app reviewing purchases and noticed a $28.00 fee. 6. I Called the bank to go over my concerns and they did not offer to reverse the fee. Just an apology on how sorry they are. 7. Their customer service isn’t the best. I get better service at a crowded deli during a lunch rush.

I got this card when I was trying to rebuild my credit. Now that my credit is doing better and my card is paid off, I noticed each month a tiny fee, but it was billed as interest on purchases. How could that be? I haven't made any purchases with that card in over 4 months. The annual fee billed monthly is paid in full each month, so why do I keep getting this tiny fee? After calling customer service, I was transferred and escalated to 3 different "supervisors" until finally, they said the next supervisor would call me (she has not). Allegedly, the interest on purchases comes from the annual fee being billed. I asked how is this possible when both of these charges are billed to my card on the day the statement closes? Also, how do you charge interest on a fee, as a purchase? No one could explain that, hence why I am waiting for that call back (I'm sure I'll have to call them again).

I just tried to make a Standard payment using my bank account to pay my bill 4 days before the due date, which is March 8. The site stated it would be applied on the 12th, which would make it LATE. I had to do the Express payment, using the same bank account and paying an additional $9.95 and it would be applied March 5. The representative was extremely Rude, talking over me and not allowing me to finish a sentence. I think it's time for a class action lawsuits. In addition to these issues my credit score with this credit card company is almost 100 points lower than Experian says it is, even though Experian promotes this credit card company. I think it's time we all get together and make a decision it's time to file a suit against this company and it's practices.

If you're building credit, research and read the fine print. This card has no (interest rate) grace period - like most credit cards do - which means that even if you pay your full balance on time, you'll still pay a whole billing cycle's worth of interest. There is no way to avoid paying interest. On top of their annual fee, it's a shame they profit from people who are trying to rebuild financially by having them pay more not less. There are much better ways to rebuild credit. Tip: (if you have limited options/rejected apps) check with the bank you have a checking account with, as your history with them may help get you approved for their credit card if they offer them. Also, it is VERY hard to speak to customer service. When you call their toll free #, none of the voice prompts give that option so you're left with blindly navigating their menu to get to a live agent.

If you are looking for a credit card don't use credit one. I have 2 cards with them, they don't have autopay as an option, it took a month for me to get a new credit card when my other expired and they claim they cannot waive fees even as a 1 time courtesy for customers that make their payments every month sometimes twice a month. Cannot wait to get rid of them.

To be fair, I didn't use this card at all. I actually was stupid enough to have accidentally applied for a card with them when they sent me the pre-approval offer, only because I thought they are Capital One, yes, their logo looks almost identical. Anyway, my card arrived and I didn't activate it. I received a bill of my annual fee of $75, regardless. And after reading all these reviews on google, I was about to activate my fight mode in case they fool me around when I call them. So I called , someone picked up my call right away, within 30 seconds, and the customer service guy was friendly and efficient, just told me within 30 days if I haven't activated my card, they will just close the account and I can just ignore the bill they sent me, no issue, no drama, the whole conversation was done within 2 minutes. On this, I acknowledge them for being professional. I want to share this bit just to let people know - in case you are going through the same situation as me.

Want to thank Credit One for ruining my credit score. If you are looking for your credit to go down then this is the place go. I have no dues with them, there was a minimum of $8.25 that was due on the 15 of March. I tried paying it they same day and their system was down. I called and said I had to use their system But they will note it so I wouldn't get a strike. I tried next day and still didn't work. Finally on the 20 it worked and paid the 8.25 The funny thing is they scam you by charging you $15.00 to process a 8.25 and then strike your account for being late after the fact the acknowledge their system were not working. I don't write bad reviews but when no one helps what can I do. I hope sooner or later everyone catches on to these legal thief's

I made a huge mistake on getting this card. I received it a few days ago and activated it, I haven’t been able to purchase anything because it keeps declining. I called customer service and was told to wait 5 minutes before trying to purchase anything, well it’s been 5 hours and it’s still declining. It raised a red flag when the first customer service representative hung up supposedly by mistake and when I called back, I was put on hold and given the wrong information. On top of that, I was already billed $39.00 due by July 15th and my card is still declining. Stay away from this card.

Worst Credit card company you’ll ever find. Their customer service representatives are very unprofessional. The fees are extremely high for a $300 credit card and you’ll wait hours for your issues to be resolved. Even to contact a representative to make a payment it’s a charge. Very unreasonable bank. They’ll restrict your purchases even when you’ve used your card at that merchant prior, it’s a hassle to get through to someone to resolve your issue, they’ll just hang up on you without even listening to your complaint. I had them a while back. Garbage is the only word I can honestly use to describe their costumer service. You can't even get an American to answer the phone even once in a full year period. The card is set up to screw over the costumer rather then help. If you try to cancel the card good luck. You will get the run around. I gave them another chance after years of being non costumer, but as a company and its policy they are the same same as few years back. Same rules to screw costumer same fees same grabge costumer service. If you are trying to repair your credit please use a different card. Any card at this point is better then credit one .

So, I get approved, I call to activate my credit card, I provide all of my personal information...then I’m told my account is being instantly - temporarily suspended until I fax in a copy of my drivers license and a utility bill. For a credit card? That’s odd. So, I don’t fax that information in and I receive a statement in the mail that has a $75 annual fee. I haven’t even used the card, or activated it... thanks, but no thanks. I cancelled my card that was not even activated.

Stay far away from this bank. If the 1.3 star average wasn’t obvious enough, maybe my terrible personal experience will help. I used this card when I first started building my credit. During that time I’d get penalized if I would pay my card on time. They limit you to four payments a month then lock your card and force you to wait for the next month. So now that your balance can’t get paid off, the card is virtually worthless until the next month. This is a trick to hopefully get you, as the user, to forget about the card so they can hit you with a late fee. After I found this out I completely stopped using this card all together. I put the card in a drawer and checked on my account every month or so just to keep an eye on it. After almost a year of inactivity my card started getting charged by Credit One themselves $8+ a month with no alerts! They’re literally stealing from me and hoping I wasn’t active enough on the account to be checking for this shady behavior to pay it off and hit me with late fee’s and compounding interest. The best part is that you need to finagle the phone line to actually get the chance to speak to someone to cancel your account. You’ll be caught in a purgatory loop with an automated answering machine. The TRICK to actually speak to someone is to follow the prompt to report your card stolen and you’ll finally get through to some over seas “account manager”. Credit One is absolutely the SCUM of the earth. I’m so happy my account is deleted and I can watch Credit One fail from the side lines. Reading other users horror stories actually gave me comfort in knowing that this poor excuse for a bank is losing users and hopefully, one day, will go belly up.

I had this card for a long time and I never really had too much problems with this card until recently. They have their issues but they did help me rebuild my credit. That being said, go elsewhere. There are other options. CapitalOne has an entry level credit that will do the same thing. There are literally countless amount of options you can do to rebuild your credit, DO NOT APPLY FOR THIS CARD! My recent experience to let you know what kind of company Credit One Bank is. Credit One Bank likes to send out check (not sure why because you have the ability to use the card at a ATM to pull money out if needed). They been sending it out for a while now and every time I rip it up and throw it in the garbage. I noticed a charge on my account and I reported the fraudulent transaction. They told me it was one of those checks. 2 weeks later they did an investigation and said it was not fraudulent and they were holding me responsible for this fraudulent transaction. They advised me that they can't do more until I go to the police to make a report. I go to the police and the police tell me they can't do anything until the credit card company says its a fraud. At this point, you can understand my frustration. I call credit one bank again and tell them what happened. They will note it and file it again. I finally got the paperwork they sent to give me proof or "reason" that it isn't a fraud. The person that signed this check didn't even sign my name correctly. They didn't even use a signature, they just wrote my name and spelled it incorrectly at that. WHAT DID THE INVESTIGATION DEPT EVEN DO?!?! They didn't even notice the name on this check was written incorrectly! At this point i think they are trying to make me pay for this! I will be calling them in the morning and pointing this out to them. They are the WORST. I had one other fraudulent experience with chase and the case was resolved within the phone call. Credit one Bank have 0 protection for you if there is fraud! If there is protection where was mine!? This is a garbage company. Plain and simple. Final note, I'm gonna raise hell and make it my personal mission to tell people of my experience to try to save even one person from going through the same thing. I'm gonna write reviews on every platform I can think of. If you do see a good review... its a bot, or a employee, or a paid review, or a real review from a person that didn't have problem YET. There is nothing good about this card. APR isn't great, annual fee is one of the highest and customer service is horrid. I spoke with credit one bank for a month and got nothing but stress. BBB gets involved... a day. So sad that it take a third party's help to resolve such a simple case.

I was attempting to keep a steady incline with my credit score so i came across CreditOne bank, applied was approved, and made every payment on time before the due date. I attempted to login into my account and received a notice that my account was suspended for reasons that make no sense to me. I followed every instruction to rectify the situation and still was informed that it was still or now Closed. I can go on and on about how terrible this card is as well as the inability to understand any of the customer service representatives who answers the phone but the bottom line is that this was the worst experience ever in an attempt to acquire a higher credit score and my advice is to seek other options worthy of applying to other than this one.

Over 400 people aren't wrong. This card is hot garbage. Only have it for no international fees, but then every transaction flags as a security risk and their customer service sits their using way too many words in a sentence to tell you nothing is wrong.

I would give ZERO stars if I could. I never write reviews but this Bank and service is the WORST I have ever dealt with. I had a balance of $0, and they keep charging me late fees when I have not even used the card. When I call to try and rectify, I go through the automated call only to finally speak with someone who can NOT cancel my card for me. They then transfer me to someone who "can." Which has yet to work because it consistently transfers me back to the beginning menu. This is an on going problem still to be handled. Hoping this review will trigger some REAL help in CANCELLING MY CARD!

this card is a complete scam!!!!!! Do not get this card all they do is over charge and you cant speak to not one american in the whole company. their customer service department is located out of the country and the language barrier is ridiculous!!! this company should be reported to the BBB!!!

Worst bank ever. Total rip off. They charge you the annual fee upfront and takes their own time to deliver the credit card to you. I have been waiting for my new card for almost 5 months now and each time I call customer service all I hear is sorry for the inconvenience bla bla bla. Don’t open your account with this bank. Else you would be loosing money.

They are so janky. I do not recommend them to anyone! Chase and Wells Fargo are great I opened up a credit card for each and started off with 5k limits on both! Great rewards that are beneficial to you and your card balances and higher limits. I had credit one for over a couple of years now and my limit is still low $1250 I always made on time payments and paid off my balances not even with a min payment. They barely give you credit increases. No rewards I received $12 rewards since having them. They been taking money out my savings account when I set it up for my checking account I have credit union and they charge you for ever returned payment I specifically wanted it to come out my checking account after transferring money from my savings to my checking and instead the rep told me it’s nothing they can do about online banking. They customer service is so terrible I am closing this account as soon as I find another bank to open a new credit card with maybe captial one venture card.

They will close your account with hesitation missing any auto payments and immediately report your account to all credit bureaus. I suggest passing on this one.

I will personally never get a credit card with this company again, I had an account before and closed it and thought things had changed since some years have passed, nope. The reps will bully and harass you over ONE missed payment, I had a rep call my phone 35 times in 3 min intervals, which was really uncalled for since I had already rescheduled a payment

This is THE WORSE BANK EVER!! I am closing my accounts with them. My beautiful credit will take a hit for closing out a credit card account, but it is so worth it. Their fees are unrealistic and unreasonable. They deserve a zero rating actually. Also, do not miss a payment because they will report it to your credit. I had a 100% payment history and now I have 99%. I have always paid my bills in full every month, but things happen. If you are busy and over work you can forget thing. This is why most of my Bill's are on auto withdrawals. Anyways, bad bank. Do not use them.

Credit one closed my account because I made an extra payment. It was during the pandemic and they suspected fraud on my account. Fraud paying an extra payment ??? Makes no sense. They wanted a letter from the bank. I couldn’t get it cause my branch was closed for several months during the pandemic. Credit one customer service people Don’t speak good English. They may be in another country , definitely Asian , that was the accent. It’s a terrible bank. , they charge $10.00 To make a payment by phone. Absolutely ridiculous.
