Tracie Cook was our loan officer. She provided excellent service throughout the loan process. She always called to give us updates and answered questions. We had delays here and there but she was always working to help get us over those hurdles and did an amazing job. I would recommend this company and Tracie for your mortgage needs. We could not have asked for better service with our home buying process.

Complete trash. Lauren Timmons is the worst Loan Officer I've met. She doesn't know or understand why her company requires insurance fees that don't apply to me. She says anything she can to get you off the phone but never follows through. CASCADE MORTGAGE took over and didn't need any of the stuff Lauren CLAIMED she needed to get the deal done. Kelly was such a pleasure to work with. He was very professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. This was our first time going through the home buying process, so we of course had a lot of questions. Kelly made sure to explain everything to us and was responsive to our emails and calls. He made sure the process was moving along so we could close in a timely manner and we couldn’t be more excited for this next chapter in our life. Wow!...Wow!...Wow!!! Country Place made my first time home buying experience so amazing! Kelly, my loan officer, was completely awesome to work with. Profesional, pleasant, and speedy replies to ALL of my emails. And always took the time to listen to/answer ALL of my questions. These folks truly made the home buying experience so smooth and super stress free. Samantha in processing was also awesome to work with. I really can’t say enough good things about these people. I have had consistent issues with Country Place. I sent several emails regarding a pay off amount and included all necessary information but was never emailed back. Was $13 short for my mortgage payment when it was scheduled to come out of my account and when they saw I was short, they went ahead and charged me an extra $35 for some BS fee. When I called to pay the correct amount (a whopping one day late), customer service said they could not take my payment because they did not have a statement from THEIR bank saying the payment was insufficient. So how am I getting charged a $35 fee for an insufficient payment if they don’t know on their end that it was insufficient? Makes a whole lot of sense… will be running from this place like my hair is on fire.

Seriously, she answered every single email within minutes of receiving! Tracie always had a great attitude and was very knowledgeable. CountryPlace Mortgage, more specifically Kelly King and his team were wonderful to work with. They were on top of everything that needed to be done to make our closing happen. More importantly, the team also helped us understand the process as we navigated into some new territory with a home/land purchase and when that did not work out, they quickly switched gears to make the new purchase very smooth. When i didn't send something right he never got frustrated with me he would just call and explain what he needed. He never complained about anything even when i needed him to make some changes. I was so leary about trying to get a mortgage from an internet search but I can not explain how pleased I was with the service I received from Country Place Mortgage. I have nothing but great things to say about Kelly King my loan officer, he was responsive to any questions I had and I feel went out of him way to keep me informed of where we were in the process. I received emails and calls on the weekends and late in the evenings, this was not my first home to purchase, so I know that is not the norm. We just recently went through the loan process with Country Place Mortgage and we finally closed this last week!! The delay was not at all on the lender side, it was on the seller/land side. Kelly King was our loan officer and he went above and beyond to help us through all of the hurdles the sellers threw our way! He even answered some of the many questions we had for him, after hours and on the weekend, which we were very impressed by. Kelly has outstanding customer service and is very knowledgeable. These people are out right crooks!! They claim to help families,but God forbid you get behind just a little. I was sick for months with COVID, not able to work stuck in bed and I almost didn't make it. On top of that I lost my mother and father in the same month, what do they do, they tell me they can help just to foreclose behind my back, but it's going to come back around karma is real Ricardo.....You are a liar and this company will get what's coming to them

We wanted a packaged deal with one payment. The deal ended up falling through and we continued our home search. A few weeks later we found our dream home and decided to put an offer in. Way overdue but I have to say Kelly King was absolutely amazing to work with and made the process of buying and building our home so easy and stress free as possible. When we started the process we went off the recommendation of several people and went with Kelly and when it came time to look at builders they asked who I was working with for a mortgage and everyone was happy when I told them I was working with him. They know him and know he gets stuff done quickly and accurately. This was not our first home purchase but this was the smoothest transaction we have had and I credit him directly for that.

Tried calling these people several times after they were referred to me by the USDA. Left multiple messages and never received a return phone call. Submitting inquiries through support form on the website multiple times and still no contact. Don't waste your time.

We couldn’t have asked for a better loan officer than Kelly King. He was always quick to answer any questions we had and worked hard to get everything done in as timely of a manner as possible. This mortgage company is the worst. My fiancé and I have been trying to close on a house since late May. It has been pushed back so many times. Well here we are the day we are supposed to close 8/4/21 and I call our title company and they tell us that Rick Acosta, our lender, told them 8/5/21 at 11:30am would work for us. This was news to us. He never asked us what time. He also never bothered to let us know that this change had been made. He told our realtor to put the close date for 8/6/21 but told my fiancé and I that we would be closing 8/4. Sketchy. Rick is also a liar. He had told me, just this morning, that the closing disclosure was sent in yesterday at 7pm to the title company… well I call the title company a couple hours after calling Rick to see what the status was and she said she didn’t receive the closing disclosure until 11:13am. These are just things that have happened today and yesterday. We have had to reschedule movers 3x and eventually had to cancel. So now we are moving everything ourselves. I have a 2 week old newborn and we were supposed to close a month and a half before her due date. So here we are, tired, emotional, and fed up with the incompetence coming from this company. What else.. prepaid interest. We now have to pay a months worth of prepaid interest because this company doesn’t have their sh!t together. Once preapproved with this company we had played telephone tag for weeks. Our emails were never answered and phone calls were returned during our work hours when we aren’t available to respond. We just want to close on our house. We are first time home buyers and this has been the absolute worst experience ever. I wish there were an option for 0 stars. At this point we are going to file a complaint with CFPB.

Felt like I've Known him my whole life that's how easy he made my purchase. Closed today and he was the first to congratulate me & my wife. My wife and I just got a mortgage with Country Place,we had Kelly King as our mortgage consultant. He was absolutely fantastic he explained everything to us if we had questions. When we did have an issue just before getting our keys, palm harbor in Seguin really didn't want to be bothered,so after contacting Kelly within 2 hrs he had answers for us. Reid construction loan officer got involved and we had our issue resolved in no time. We thank everyone at country place mortgage they are the best,will refer anyone looking for a mortgage to them. I have been trying to make contact with anyone at this point. I keep getting the run around about a Title that is rightfully mine. I paid off a mobile home loan two months ago and cannot get answers to where my Title is. All I keep hearing, when I do actually get ahold of someone, Is that COVID is the reason for the delays. I understand that COVID has impacted many of us negatively, but that is not an excuse for not getting back to me. C’mon 8 weeks is ridiculous!!!!! This is by far one of the WORST companies I have ever dealt with!

I recently closed on my home with a loan from Country Place. Working with Tracie Cook was a pleasure from start to finish. She made the process very smooth. As a first time buyer I had more questions than you can imagine. She was always there to clarify everything. Even helping me find insurance quotes. She really went the extra mile to get us into our home in a timely manner.

If I could give zero stars I would. My Loan Officer, Tracie Cook, continually gave me the run around. Claiming things were done when they got done two weeks later. She was difficult to get a hold of. So I asked for a manager to get involved, Kyle Shaw. He did absolutely nothing to help ease my frustrations, or stream line the process. When I was finally in closing, I was told I needed yet more documents done at the last minute (everything was last minute-no list of documents could be provided up front to complete). I was messaged at 3 o'clock that she needed the documents at 2 o'clock. Because it was a Friday, well closing would just be delayed another week since I didn't get them in by 2 o'clock. In addition to many other things, all documented. The closing process took 2 months. It should have taken 1. Finally, my home gets closed on, built, and I move in. Time to start paying the mortgage. FOUR TIMES Country Place accidentally overdrafts my account. One time over drafting 3x the amount owed. They placed a late fee on my account, even though I was early in paying every time. I tried over their internet portal, over charged. I tried calling, double charged because they didn't check a box on their end, I also had my payment funds put in the wrong place. Finally, I got a hold of someone who could help me. He told me after going through my account with me for 3 days with a fine toothed comb that there was no reason for the late fee so he removed it. The only way he could guarantee that my payments would be processed correctly in future (and I wouldn't be over charged or my funds put in the wrong location) was to mail them in, with a letter explaining what they were, what account they were applied to, what due date they were for and the location the funds should be applied to. Which is frankly ridiculous, but better than being upside down every month because Country Place is draining my account. STAY AWAY PEOPLE Update 3/21: They didn't change my construction loan to a mortgage until almost a year after I lived in the home. The person I worked with on the phone didn't know the difference. they also took out UNNECESSARY insurance policies. I have been fully insured the whole time.
