Costa's Cash Express County St, New Bedford

So I went to cash a check and it’s a payroll check from my employer who they called and verified with and still said they wouldn’t cash it. No valid reasoning except “my manager said no”. How are you gonna be a check cashing business but pick and choose which checks you wanna cash. Unprofessional rude and maybe if their manager was actually present and not working through a cell phone the place would run much smoother.

My mom used to visit the store for 20 yrs and I came with her since i was a kid. But we are very disappointed and its sad to tell that there is no work CULTURE among the people who work there compare to what we have seen before. Store carries expire products and never organised. This kid with curly hair seems like the manager or kid of the owner had this face that he does not care about the store. When i asked them why they dont put the stuffs they have on side on the shelves to sale and no body checks upon expire items and store looks so filthy. The answer was "I DONT KNOW we dont have time and are short staff" but all we saw is they are busy on phone or watching video. All we have to say is that this new people especially one with cap and other with curly hair are capable enough to put "THE COSTAS" reputation down in regards to quality of service and product they deliver. Not to mention they lock the door 3-5mins early. This shows the manager dont care enough to maintain the quality of the store.

Came here to cash my check the staff was friendly and answered my questions the wait wasnt to long an the store had a wide variety of items i was looking for i recommend them as a quick run to spot for whatever it is they pretty much do an have it all 👍

Very friendly They work as fast as they can and somtimes get backed up and customers need to understand that They are working as fast as they can.

Not professional at all. New staffs dont like their job. @Gold Milange yes they just care about passing time and getting paid at no cost. I came with my friend to do western union n were in line waiting for 20 minutes and the boy was wearing bluetooth speaker taking customer talking and laughing. i asked him to show the name but he alredy did western union the name was wrong. then next morning i used to buy 2 marlboro and the girl on the other side said she did not have it. Drena and indian girl are very good worker and very profesional. They are polite and very helpful.

I don't understand why a check cashing business would not cash checks after 3 p.m, when they are open until 9:30 pm. The employee was rude to me about it, and needs to be a little nicer about how he interacts with customers. I rarely give a 1 star review, but I have to give an honest review, I wouldn't recommend this place.

I called this place to ask if the western union is working and they say yes you can come . 5 minutes later when im there the guy does the same little laugh he always does and says “sorry buddy the western union is down” I think these people honestly hate their jobs and lives and make an effort to mess with other people . If you can avoid this place please do so !!

Good friendly service Customers need patience when there’s lines the workers are working hard to keep the lines moving.
