Cornerstone Credit Union W Meadows Dr, Freeport

Have banked here a long time. Sad to see so many negative reviews I can’t imagine it’s totally the banks fault. I have always had great service and been worked with even if it was by email from another branch. I think it’s simple don’t F&@$ with them and they won’t F&@$ with you.

I had a DirectExpress card from social security and I was getting a loan from them so Jason made me get a direct deposit or I wouldn’t be able to get the loan I’ve had direct express sence 2012 no problems all these years now with cornerstone bank I can’t even pay my phone it was turned off at midnight now cornerstone bank bank card won’t let me pay it. I’m handy cap in a wheelchair can’t walk if something would happen I couldn’t push for help all because I needed this loan to fix my floor it falling in. Jason that gave me the loan said I would be able to pay my bills right away with this bank card. I feel he decepted me. That’s bad business be very careful if you get social security direct deposit with them I’m telling you from experience

Poor customer service and unprofessional employees. I would NOT recommend this bank for any mortgage services.

They sued me because Laurie was to lazy to do her job. I wrecked a few years ago and had GAP insurance, all the proper documentation to prove it, and instead of going after the GAP insurance for not paying out, they sued me without warning. In the end, my GAP paid cornerstone off, and cornerstone made me pay off the court costs. The kicker? Every piece of evidence I brought in to CCU to rectify the situation they already had copies of. Laurie wasn't willing to work with me resolving the issue or give any helpful information to go about resolving it. She was extremely unprofessional and rude throughout the entire ordeal. I would call and leave voicemails and never received a call back. They would route my calls through multiple departments and hang up. They would sometimes just flat out hang up on me as I asked questions about my problem. I will never bank here, and I do not suggest anyone else ever does either!! This all happened RIGHT before a deployment with the US military as well, and I made sure CCU and Lauri knew that I was trying to fix the situation but my training schedule was making it difficult. They didn't and don't care about customers or customer service. They are all talk and no walk!!

They took over our small town credit union and we have had nothing but issues since. So thankful my car loan is paid off so I no longer have to deal with the customer service. Horrible over the phone experience each & every time I have been in contact with the Freeport & Corporate Branch. Simple requests for information turn into a mess of transfers, blaming others for lack of information, & at least an hour of your day wasted because you still don’t have the answers you need.

Never no problem with them. I have been with them for a while and I always was treated accordingly. If I have a question someone would get back to me if if I couldn't get to the person I needed at the time. I've dealt with Jason, Tana, Scott and Lisa. All have been helpful. And the tellers and front desk ladies also.

They have been great to me. i have been with them for years and no issues with my account.

My family and I have had trouble with a particular employee here as long as we have had an account with them. I wont mention her by name, but others have. I thought she just had something against my family, but after looking at others reviews, it appears it wasn't personal she just has a bad attitude. The thing that pushed me to leave this review is that I had a recent issue with this person being incredibly rude again and blaming me for mismanagement on their end. When I sent a complaint to the VP over loans it was never responded to. It's sad because their tellers and many employees are great, but their loans department are truly rude and unprofessional.

They lack professionalism and customer service skills. The waiting process for anything is long. Don't expect a return call. You can call and leave a voicemail, if you're lucky it will be returned. This place holds your money ransom. Taking funds from accounts without authorization to pay loans without a judgement from a judge. Tacking on multiple honor fees at 30 each, when they know the account is empty.

Cornerstone is one of the worst credit unions to use i would steer clear of using this bank. They committed a clerical error and repossessed my RV. They were incredibly rude especially there lone officer Laurie and did little to rectify the situation. This was completely their wrong doing and all they could say was sorry. This killed my credit and put a repossession on my report. What a despicable company left me to correct it all myself
