Cornerstone Bank is a breath of fresh air in Kansas City! Our experience with business checking has been exceptional. We have worked with several staff, and most recently with Veronica on a complex business transition. She was well-prepared, respected our time, and efficiently handled all of our needs. I would recommend Cornerstone to other small nonprofits.

If you're looking for a KC bank with a small town feel and people who know you and are focused on superior customer service, then look no further. These folks do a great job, and are very efficient. Great leadership too!

I would like to put zero stars but it wasn't an option. I went there to open a CD. I was there 15 minutes before they closed. they told me they couldn't help me. what bank turns away customers during business hours? I can certainly go elsewhere and would recommend others do the same. their customer service needs some real work. I need to edit my previous comments- I went in today 3/25/22 and was greeted by staff that recognized me from yesterday. Holly apologized up and down for how I was treated and even the President of the bank, John Doull came over to apologize for how things were handled yesterday, and how they should have handled things. I couldn't ask for anything more. They all bent over backwards to make my experience at the bank a positive one. It was DEFINITELY a 5 STAR experience!!

Megan helped me to set up a new account. She was great, extremely personable, and very helpful! It was great to feel like an individual at a bank, instead of just another account!

I had a very excited to be part of a bank who puts their people first and who are knowledgeable about the banking laws and requirements. I originally deposited my contractors check in my bank(@ that time) BOA they told me my would funds would've available next day. To my surprise they were not and I needed to pay my employees . BOA PUT THE CHECK ON for 10 day HOLD . I could not wait 10 days to pay my employees. So th contractor wrote another check and CornerStone Bank d a 1 time favor and cash it for me so I could get my employees paid . Because Cornerstone was so willing to help my contractor out and was so helpful with me I decided to open my business account there with them that same day . It was fast and efficient. Cynthia Wilson was extremely nice and efficient. I'm glad I switched. I've been nothing but happy with the service.

I have been a customer of Cornerstone for many years and have both checking and money market accounts. I have always found the staff, particularly Mark Clemmons, to be friendly and very professional. They even answer questions during non-business hours if I have an emergency. They have the range of services we need and I have always been happier dealing with a small, local bank than with the huge banks with a gazillion locations nationwide. The interest rates on checking were amazingly high when we started. With the downturn in economy, they aren’t what they once were but they’re still high above the rest of the industry. I’ve stayed a customer even after moving out of state. Their policy to return ATM fees and their customer service means I don’t need access to a brick and mortar building to have a great experience. Once I was headed out of the country so I wanted to give a heads up to expect different charges. I spoke to a teller that I’d worked with before so I don’t think I even gave a last name. When I got off the phone, my friend who overheard was so shocked that my bank actually knew who I was. But that’s just the kind of personal experience I’ve come to expect. I am very happy with the experience and will remain a customer for many years.

I'm blown away by my experience at Cornerstone Bank. I use them for business checking. If I need a wire transfer or have complex questions, they are quick to get back with me. If you call, you talk directly to someone at the location, no waiting on hold or any of that. We met the VP and President when setting up our small account - even our account gets VIP treatment. I would recommend them to anyone. I have used a franchise bank for personal checking and it has always been a headache to get anything done - not the case for Cornerstone!

I arrived at 4:50pm, not realizing the bank closed at 5pm. Holly took the time to answer my questions and established my account easily and thoroughly. Though I arrived close to closing time, Holly was more than happy to open my new account. I had been shopping for a new bank due to the acquisition of my local neighborhood, 1 branch bank. Holly's kindness and professionalism confirmed that I had made the right banking choice!

This bank offers all the same amenities as the large banks but has the feel of a small town bank. A definite more personal vibe than a large bank, everyone was very helpful.
