Consumers Credit Union Riley St, Holland

The north side office is awesome. The loan officer that helped me went above and beyond to help me with my issues. Compared to the office on the south side where I was ignored and then rushed out. The loan officer at the north side was so busy but took the time to help me as if I was the only there. Awesome Job!!!

I have been a Consumer’s customer for more than ten years. I got my first loan and credit card with them. I used to love the way things would be handled and dealt with, but lately it seems things have shifted. To start my second car loan, the loan officer allowed the wrong title. She was moving along so quickly that she didn’t realize. I figure a bank would register and flag that and stop the loan process. Then the office manager Carmella called very passively, blaming me as it was my error. Getting the title sorted out wasn’t easy. Another time I saw a random charge I called and asked about it. The gentleman used the term “ fall off” I asked “ does this mean I will be reimbursed?” I wasn’t sure what the term fall off meant. He assured me that the charge was a “ system error” and would be fixed the next day. I made a follow up call and the next person dove deeper and figured more out that it was the car reader failed. I am now working on a dispute that seems to be like pulling teeth from a child. Having to call two to three times a week to get an update or see if there are any things that needs to be done. I have spoke with now five people who have said “ wow we need to focus on this and wrap it up”. I just am losing my patience with this bank. I have been a long time customer, and I am not appreciating the treatment.

We have partnered with the team at Consumers for multiple projects. We cannot say enough good about our experience!! Carmala, Shannon, and Jim have been amazing with their client....us, and our real estate clients! We highly recommend you stop looking somewhere else and just get on the happy train with them!! No...they did not pay me for this, they are just that good!!

I enjoy the person to person interaction. So many businesses nowadays use these awful chat features and automatic prompts that are frustrating and get you nowhere. The staff here is knowledgeable and friendly.

Walked in and was helped right away. I got everything done in no time!

After reading the Google reviews about this credit union I decided to join. I called ahead to find out what information was needed and talked to a very nice lady, but when I got there it was a totally different experience. From the moment I sat down the representative did everything she could to dissuade me from joining. She even went as far as making things up about my credit, even though we were both looking at the same information. From the reviews on Google and my conversation with the rep on the phone I thought that this credit union was there to help, but I see now that the help is only for certain people.

Love, love, love this bank!! All the girls are so friendly and helpful with any questions I have. Always go above and beyond to make sure I'm taken care of. Helped me boost my credit score in just 6 months! Highly recommend if you like friendly customer service and awesome perks (:
