EDIT: They contacted me and the issue was resolved quickly, appreciate the time they took. Called about an overdraft fee ( I never do that because usually I get them because I forgot to transfer money so I just pay it because it’s my fault!) but this time I had efficient funds so I knew 100% that they made a mistake over-drafting me. The lady was very stand-offish and swore I deserved the overdraft fee.. for a 99cent charge that I had money in my account for. I feel like I’ve been robbed. Seriously disappointed. Not only that but she was extremely condescending while she spent two minutes trying to explain to me what “pending” meant…..

This bank was great until I moved away. I called asking to close my account so they told me to write a letter to close the account. I followed their instructions, wrote a letter to close the account, then received a notice in the mail stating my account has been getting charged and is now at a negative balance and I'm being told I'll be reported to creditors, all over an account I was told would be closed post letter! Ridiculous! I sincerely hope they fix their process and correct this situation.

I recently took out loan from this branch for my brothers funeral and throughout the entire process the service representative Mr. A. Lornson was so kind and patient with me. He made the whole process really smooth and easy for me. I'm very thankful for Mr. Lornson and his colleagues for sending me a condolences letter signed by everyone. During this difficult time for me and my family, being able to take a loan out smoothly has saved us a lot of time and stress.

I've had my own account here for five years now and have never had an issue. Having an account where I don't need to be concerned with low balance fees is important because I'm a student and also travel a lot so I'll often find myself moving money around. The fact that they are the main sponsor of the Fox Cities Marathon also means a lot to me!

Staff is EXCELLENT. Helpful and knowledgable ... when ID was stolen (3 times!) helped put on extra protections that are still in place today.

Called because of a few overdraft fees been banking with them for 2 years. The lady that helped me said that’s not a long time so that doesn’t make you a loyal customer. Not happy with the customer service also not happy with how they handle overdrafts and fees.

I was a long time member of Community First. After my accountant, along with a couple other financially savvy people asked me why I let CFCU financial services people talk me into investing a rather large sum of my money the way they did (which only Community First benefited from), I decided to find a new credit union. I was very comfortable with that decision as I was never asked why, when I closed my accounts. Shortly after I closed my personal accounts, I closed my business accounts at Community First. Once again, I was never asked why, what was wrong, etc. It is very apparent to me, Community First Credit Union has grown too big to care about individual members. Along with the (over the top) opulence of their new headquarters comes a sense of arrogance that should not exist with a MEMBER OWNED institution.

I went to transfer a inheritance IRA, nobody could answers any of my questions, the guy spend over 2 1/2 hours on paperwork. Then told me I had to deliver it. Then found out he forgot to sign. So took it back, greeter said he could sign, gave very specific instructions only j can sign. Month later my trust co send letter saying they cannot transfer till com first fix problems and they were trying for a month for someone there to fix it. So I went down there with letter and waited to see the person who fill it out. He told me I drop the ball, he is waiting for me to bring check in, it is a transfer and I kept trying to get him to read letter, after 15 minutes of him refusing to fix it, I ask him what I should do, since they can't send it there till someone fix this one mistake. He told me to go home and wait for the check to come in mail. I thought that was a polite way of telling me to go to hell. Why would he not spend 5 minutes fixing it, I had the information in the letter??? So I went to another credit union. Walk in prospera, 40 minutes later all transfer and all my questions and options were explain. Wasted a good 5 hours at community first for nothing.

Terrible, it seems the larger they get the less customer focused they become. Absolutely would not recommend and if you are a business owner turn around and run and go to an actual bank that has a department that works with small businesses. We've been going here for 10 yrs, should have left 9 yrs ago.
