    I have been a member of this Bank for 20 years. I always recommended this institution when it was People's Bank. However with two turnovers in the last few years it has done nothing but gone down hill. Everyone used to call you by name and chat with you when you came in. I now only know one person there , who in my opinion has done the best he can do under the circumstances. I deposited a check for $2, 000 last month, they never put a hold on it, which they usually do on out of state checks, got some cash back only to receive.a letter 4 days later stating that the check was fraudulent. I deposited cash back into my account to cover the fraudulent deposit. I had written checks on that deposit to several different businesses. I started getting letters in the mail that all the checks bounced and I have been charged $35 for each check. I balance my checkbook and have duplicate checks and as far as I could see it I was correct on my balance. I am not wealthy, I live on a disability check of not much per month,had a second job but now can't work as I fell down the stairs and herniated two discs in my spine. I can't pay my bills or my rent or get groceries. I have always had my disability check directly deposited there and unbeknownst to me or any letter, they were taking money out of my account to cover the cash I had taken from that $2, 000 check. Consequently all of the checks that I wrote bounced, had a meeting with Katie yesterday at the bank, they were unwilling to help me in any way or understand my situation. I am the victim here. They just took all of my direct deposit and spent it on all the checks that I had written and we're charging me a $35 fee plus another $5 fee per day to come to a total of over $800 in bounced check deposit fees . My balance on my check register was showing I still had $712 in my account when in fact they were telling me my balance was minus over $1, 000! After 20 years of being with this Bank I would expect some courtesy and empathy for my situation after all, like I said before,I am the victim, I was clueless about this check. Not only did they take all of my money they now informed me that they will take the thousand dollars out of my next direct deposit . I have no savings, I have no assets,I have nothing. I really expected them to take away all the $35 bounced check fees and the $5 per day fees to bring my account up to what I perceived as having. Katie informed me the most they could do was take maybe half of the bounced checks fees away still leaving my account at minus$1,000! You would think after 20 years with one Institution they could have done better than this. To me it's unacceptable and I will be changing my direct deposit to another bank in Leadville if they're just going to take the money they want out of it anyway. Again no letter, no phone, nothing advising me that they were going to take the cash I took out of my account and they were going to use it all to pay the bounced checks,.only the $600 deposit did they inform me of. No empathy, like taking all of the fees away or putting me on some kind of payment plan ,to pay that money back, nothing. Because of their lack of empathy and understanding I will be homeless in one month as none of my friends I have $2, 000 to me, which I understand. This has been one of the most frustrating and depressing things I have been through in my 66 years. DO NOT ever use this bank!! ALWAYS opt for any other! Basically they slapped my hands and sent me on my way. I lost everything I had in 2007 because I had a bicycling accident, which resulted in a brain injury with coma and I am now losing everything again because of no empathy and understanding. Whatever happened to the days of old where everyone helped everyone else because they were kind and empathetic? It's a very sad State of Affairs. My hands are tied over this matter except to write this and I thank you for listening to my soliloquay.

    The people here are nice, however they have the worst system in place should you lose a card and the people who work for the banks help service are outright rude and snarky.

    Online platform is horrible, didn’t have my right number listed for security access. Called in and they needed an exact amount and date and source of my last deposit which I don’t memorize those kind of things. No direct number that I can find to the Leadville office. The employees in the leadville branch are awesome

    The only reason that I am giving this bank one star is because of helpful and courteous tellers. The online platform is terrible. Customer service for this bank is basically non existent. DONT BANK HERE.
