CommonWealth Bank - Australia may be legitimate, however, scammers have targeted potential clients posing as loan officers for them. They use the banks logo, however, the from email address is your main red flag. In my case they got my information from loan application sites. They responded by text with an image of an approval document (red flag 1)(a reasonable one). Searching names and phone numbers provided by them had no results (red flag 2). I ask the "agent" to email me the information, did not include my address, noting they should have it on file. They did provide the from address and the email had gone to my spam (so they did already have it), however, the from address was a Gmail account (red flag 3). The from email address had codes like cw and 2022 in it as well, indicating they likely cycle through them (red flag 4). When confronted with the information that the from email domain should match the companies domain they replied that every banker had been provided a personal email address. They do... with the companies domain. (3 starts as the review has to do with the scammers, rather than the actual bank. I'm not able to comment on that.)

I believe this is a scam. Possibly the bank is real and a scammer is only using their name and logo. I reported the contact to the Federal Trade Commission.

That is not a bank it’s a scam. My Australian buddies travelled from Texas to new York for commonwealth bank to take out the cash money but when we got there, there was no ATM or Neither the bank. It’s just so disappointing. Be careful Australian people.

This so called bank is nothing but a complete scam!! Don’t let them get any of your money for a loan, they are nothing but scammers, I can’t believe I really fell for it all!! They will never give you a dime, only take your money!!!

This place should be shut down, and the people who put good reviews aren't even from this country.. Google, take this place off your list as a bank.. it's not a bank, it's scammers waiting to take money out from under people

An absolute joke. Not a bank, shouldn't even be affiliated with commbank Australia. Needed help from "a commbank' branch" and wasn't even allowed in the place because "it's just an office".

The place is wrong here, Common wealth bank is great itself
