Commerce Bank W 83rd St, Prairie Village

Every experience I have at a Commerce Bank branch is great! Even during crazy times of this pandemic, they've done their best to be as accommodating as possible. Really appreciate the gentleman who helped me today with an odd request and was so polite and helpful even when he was the only one working the drive-thru and was super busy!

I have banked at this location for the past 10 years and have never had any of the problems noted in other reviews. The people are kind and professional. I have had to open and close trusts and accounts over the years as executor of an estate and they all were very helpful. We also use this bank for all our personal and business financial needs and find it to be a wonderful location/branch. I really appreciate it when they call me by name whenever I walk into the branch!

Horrible incompetent establishment. My dad had a stroke. I went in with a power of attorney for me saying dad no longer is clear headed and that no funds but the basic bill payments should be released. No problem, they perfectly understood. Not long afterward dad was scammed and they released thousands of dollars from his account to dad. Management said, "not our problem". Worst bank! As a follow up, I responded to their comment to this review. They stated that it was my dad's fault even though they were clearly told not to relinquish monies. They remain the worst bank.

This is possibly one of my favorite Commerce Bank Locations around the metro area! I always enjoy seeing all the Tellers and all their smiling faces. They always know how to cheer me up if I'm having a hard day!

I came into get a my spending card and the lady asked my age which then I stated 13. The lady said you must be 13 1/2 to get a my spending card which I am 13 1/2. The lady then said oh actually you have to be 14 to do it and would not let me get the my spending card

Horrible bank, staff has no idea what they are doing. Erica lied to branch manager because she got caught not knowing her job and told me incorrect information. 7 years of perfect payments and loc closed due to waste of space employees that don't know their job.

This is the greatest branch in the area! The staff is friendly, professional, and extremely competent. Despite what some of the other reviews have implied, the staff goes out of their way to ensure that all customers are taken care of. If they can't do something or ask for additional information there is always a regulatory or policy reason behind it.

Do not bank here! Rashad a bank employee was very rude and disrespectful to me when I came in to cash a personal check on one of my clients. This employee profiled me because I had tar on my hands from working on my clients roof, and he wanted 10 minutes of my time after I provided 2 forms ID that he asked for, and then he bothered my client by calling her at her work to make sure that she wrote me the check. After all of that he had enough guts to ask for my social security number and address and b.s me around that it would take another 7 to 10 minutes to build a background on me just to cash a hundred check. I didn't have another 10 minutes to waste nor did I trust this sketchy employee with my most personal information. I have cashed checks at almost every bank for lots of different clients I provide my services to and have never been put through the ringer like this and felt so insulted by a bank employee. I highly suggest that nobody patronized this bank.
