Purchased my first home through commerce bank mortgage program! I went through Eric Armstrong and the whole process was amazing! Eric was extremely helpful and always worked hard to make sure I was getting my mortgage done the right way and as fast as possible!

Based on my latest interaction with Commerce Bank lending I felt the need to let others know my opinion of the bank. I've been a client of Commerce for the majority of 45 years since it was People's Bank. I've had multiple mortgages with them over the years. I've had checking with them most of the 45 years. However, dealing with them over the last several months has not been pleasant. Within three months they sent out two different contract appraisers who valued the property of a less than 2 year old house more than $100,000 less than when the house was built. I realize that appraisals are a subjective opinion. However, I find it hard to believe that the market changed so rapidly in 15 months that the value of a relatively new house decreased that much. So, my suggestion is to anyone looking to finance a home avoid Commerce at all costs.
