I have known and worked with Jennifer Coffman for over 25 years. Jennifer is very detailed, she makes the closing transaction seamless.

We received three different settlement statements. We wired the money on Friday afternoon for a Monday am closing. Friday evening a second settlement statement came and we needed to get a cashiers check for the $23 difference. One hour before closing on Monday morning a third settlement statement came with a difference of $27. They asked us to get another cashiers check made for $27 rather than $23. They also use a third party “Qualia” who just adds to the confusion. Poor communication, I would not recommend closing at Columbia Title in Lafayette.

DO NOT USE THIS TITLE COMPANY!!! I sold my house FSBO. I received their FSBO information packet and called in because I had some questions. The first woman I spoke with immediately said we cannot offer advise, you need to hire a realtor. I was literally asking a question about their FSBO packet of information with Columbia Title's name on it. Your telling me you can't answer questions about your own company's information and procedures. Once I completed all their information and sent them the purchase agreement via email I also said I will be closing remote. It was a huge hassle to close remote with them! A week goes by and I called in about how closing remote works and I spoke with a different woman, every time I called I spoke with someone else who gave me different information. I asked if they had on my file that I was closing remote and how the process works. The woman had a tone in her voice and said "yes we have you closing remote you emailed us." Yes, I did, but NO ONE responded to my email confirming closing remote was on my file, so I called in! The week they were suppose to mail the documents to me I had this weird feeling in my stomach something wasn't right. So I called in and actually spoke with a nice person and asked if they had mailed the closing documents to me. The woman said, "we didn't have on your file you were closing remote, I will get this mailed today, thank you for calling in." WHAT??? Two weeks ago a woman tells me it is on my file and you are telling me it is not!!! If I would not have called in I would have missed the closing date because I wouldn't have received the documents in time. DO NOT USE THIS TITLE COMPANY!!!
